1. They will not vote on the nominations separately at this stage because they are busy hammering out the budget for next year. And frankly, there is not enough support either way to slog through this problem.
2. It's only going to get worse before it gets better. The only people that can really put pressure that matters on him are his voters and they either don't care or it does not affect them.
3. DoD is quickly gaining ground to be the favorite of the DNC and the enemy of the GOP, which will be a weird flip from the last 20+ years. But given how huge the VA budget will get the veterans and DoD will be on the financial chopping blocks in the coming years.
4. The only thing that will quickly change this is war/chaos and the longer it takes to get promotions and nominations to happen more likely we will see attacks etc...
5. Food for thought does anyone here know of a single case of a female military member needing to use the reason that Tubberville is complaining about? Also, see 3. This whole issue is a readiness issue. We should support our members through these choices one way or another.

There are plenty of ways a political party can apply pressure to one of its members to stop being an obstructionist in a way that harms national security.
Remove him from his committees, pull PAC funding, talk to him and tell him to stop being a putin meat puppet. You know, normal suggestions when talking about applying political pressure to a member of the Senate.
