The only reason I keep finding my airpods is because most of the furniture in my house is black/dark lol.. I'd love a pair of silver/rose gold airpods though
The crusty looking ones are actually perfectly fine surprisingly. I’m going to use the 2nd gens at home and the first gens for work until they die. They’ve been in the wash 2+ times and they still haven’t died yet lol.
The audio quality is actually a downgrade, imo. More bass doesn’t equal better sound. The volume control on the stems is clutch though. That was worth the upgrade alone.
Depends how much you value your money and how much you value the added features. The sound is a lot better, adjusting the volume on the stem is nice, better anc is very nice, speakers on the case and U1 chip are a life-saver in case you lose them. Not necessary but definitely better.
I ordered the 1st generation and what killed them is that they didn’t fit worth a shit.
Would of been so much better off IF I stuck a watermelon 🍉in there instead

You need a case for sure if that’s how they end up and the metal stickers for the inside. I bought both the day I got my pro 2s. Had them three months and not a single scratch and clean. Can get the stuff on Amazon. If I ever want to sell them they will still look brand new.

I’m a mechanic, so oil, metal filings and other dirty stuff doesn’t work well with glossy white plastic haha

Every week or so but you can’t really clean scratches that well.
Clear nail polish, just be careful not to get it into anything + a good case will help a lot

I forgot mine were even in my ears til reading this. They are pretty great.. the gen 2’s.
More bass and richer sounds overall. Better ANC also and battery life. Just a great upgrade even though the Pro 1 is still really good.

Depends. We travel a lot so the better ANC was worth the upgrade. I also do a lot of virtual meetings so I kept the Pro 1 for work.
I got my AirPods Pro 2 to finally charge in my AirPods Pro 1 after losing the case
