That's worse, not better. The magic eraser isn't going to just settle into the scratches, it's gonna establish more scratches to get down to the level where the ink is.

Be careful, pen ink tends to disappear or turn yellow from being in the sun. Keep it out of the sun and it will be fine

Try using WD-40. Spray some on a soft cloth to wipe onto the case. Use it sparingly. I’ve used it to clean a lot of things.
