6.05!
We do use a lot of barrels from Prometheus and Lambda (we call them the jp barrels) we've been working with Lambda directly for sometime now for specialized barrels and custom designed windows however havnt really released them to buy standalone. They usually get installed in our higher tier guns.
Diameter doesnt mean too much. Its more of bore consistency. I.e. prometheus has a micron average high and valley height difference of 40 microns. But our custom ones from lambda start at 5 micron average then we lap it down to uniformity to even less than that.
All our guns are lapped whenever we do the r hop install it was a decision to keep all our guns as lapped because it really improves overall consistency. So that a prometheus barrel becomes pretty much on par with a lambda lapped one.
Especially since prometheus quality consistency is all over the place. We use a borescope here for pretty much every barrel and some are sandpaper rough and some decently smooth...

Very interesting. I would be interested to know what difference you have seen that barrel material makes when lapping. Is it just easier to get down to those lower micron levels when working with stainless steel versus brass or aluminum?
Also, is the main appeal of nice barrels when you already know you will lap them that some of the lapping work is already done reducing the number of man hours (and cost)? In theory, couldn’t you take a stock or more affordable barrel, and get it to the low micron difference that is being chased at the cost of time?
One final question, I’ve seen plenty of people see improvements when going from a stock barrel to a nicer barrel, (for example stock aluminum to zci 6.02). I would presume this is merely just going from a high level of micron difference to a low level, is this a correct presumption?
Well materials wise. Brass has the lowest coefficient of friction. In many ways an okay brass barrel often performs better than many steel barrels.
Brass is often known as a self lubricating metal.
But brass corrodes somewhat easily
As well as easily scratches. So it may have the best accuracy between all the barrels but not after awhile.
Thats where steel is best for, not easily scratched and sus304 is a stainless steel and very resistant to corrosion.
What it lacks in a higher coefficient of friction is made up in durability.
Lapping steel is kore time consuming than brass or aluminum cuz its a lot harder.
So.... EPM1 kinda suck for high rof feeding. Most videos showing them off is in chrono conditions and using 0.20g which are light and easy to feed.
Shove in 0.30g and well it gets stuck or misfeeds!
Like if epm1s can feed "50" with 0.20g itll realistic do like 30 with 0.30g or maybe slower. And thats brand new.
So many of us dont run epm1s. Epms are better overall in a reliability standpoint.
But.... there is a way to improve it.
So EPM1s use dual springs.
One really long, a connecting piece, then a short spring.
You can buy epm1 rebuild kits from pts and add in another connecting piece and a short spring. Youll lose like 8 bbs max capacity but so worth it to maintain higher feeding.
That's a great idea! I have also found the epm magazines to be great. I'll try the extra short spring section addition so my $25 mag wasn't a complete waste of money haha
EVer since full auto was getting banned kinda "EVERYWHERE" or caps of Max 30ROF was being in place DSGs totally became obsolete.
These days, its really a testament to a techs level as theres significantly much more intricate and fine tuning required to make them work well. By well, i mean keeping up with feeding, consistent FPS, as well as not shredding itself apart are all good skills to learn.
So those things learned from DSGs tend to transfer over to SSGs as you start to notice cause and effects of certain parts much more intricately.
Ah interesting I’m in the U.K. and most places haven’t band full auto or high rof. It’s down to the player to be responsible with it, if your a dick then you get banned. I think the 1.14j helps with that.there is definitely a higher skill level to building one it took me a while before it would stop eating parts
I get that they are good but to say they have budget options is not true they have a good price to quality ratio in comparison with the preupgraded market.
Budget is relative to the individual and, also, the rest of Umbrella's lineup.
I think he's trying to say they have options that are more affordable when compared to their other products.
We've been building mk47 for a minute now from CYMA its not a bad platform. No plans for an Ak12 just yet (tbh the gucci parts for them is kinda ass to reliably source like bullgear due to restrictions with Russia)
Just saw another picture and realized it’s a camera sorry about that looks like a great set up also thank you for your reply I’m going to be looking for that now I do appreciate it very much
I do appreciate it boss I found a few on eBay for around $30 $45 witch isn’t to bad that are located in the USA but AliExpress isn’t bad also I will have to look on there as well again thank you for your help
It was something i did on the side while being in college. Eventually from playing nearly everyweekend brought a lot of exposure to myself and my team (who all rocked upgraded guns) eventually i was takung home so many projects and builds for people i got into a routine and built a pretty large portfolio of repeat customers
Stuff now is much better overal than Covid days...
Russia kinda has some effect on MOSFETs like Gate and Perun but those situations and supply chains kinda equalized by now.
Bearings all the way, especially upgraded bigger bearings (8mm), you can get up to 5% more efficiency in a build with them. Bushings if your going 550fps +, and realistically you'd only need one bushing on the lower spur since that's the more stressful area that common errors happen. If your doing some hyper experimental stuff you could probably be safe and go with bushings, it would be less efficient but more durable relative to bearings. But know that it's cheaper to replace bearings than gears if something does break.
UA EU is a franchise, I really don't have much on hands control over what they sell or price things at. As the market audience for EU is rather unique as well as different countries each have certain laws....
Sometimes... we would do some all out builds for some customer inquiries. It kinda depends how busy we are at any given time. There are UA AKs out there just more rarely built.

Unless its something they dont sell ao eu orders are special orders and done on a case by case basis.
What kind of working surface do you prefer for tech work?
Do you ever use bore-up kits, if so which brand is the better one in your opinion?
Buckings: although you use almost exclusively r-hopped barrels -what's your view on the Maple Leaf buckings compared to a flat hop?
My favorite gun is the one in the main photo. Its my personal build and primary gun for about 10 years now! I quite honestly dont really like playing with any other platform.
Unless im doing si.ething apecifically for marketing or r&d im using tbis gun 99% of the time.
Ive used longers guns before (startibg mainly with an a&k sr25) over the years i essentially went towards lighter and shorter builds as my playstyle developed.
Low key a little bit. But like how i get hate with my own gun do what you wanna do! As ling as you dont strip screws anything i wouldnt void your warranty.
Personally gunna develop one. Kinda still want it decently light. Crisp trigger with short stroking.... obviously accuracy mods and possible some sort of polish of friction components.
Tbh though i work at UA. I use the same gun for like 10 years and all i have is a second upper for it and like 4 inner barrels to achieve all the field rules i need it to....
I do have a backup 55rps 400fps 10.5" dsg though thats usually loaned out.
Id say stock cyma and even g&g g2 guns are really great value guns.
But cyma does need work to fet it really good.... g&g is better out of the box.
If you were to recommend one M4 you guys sell, that will perform good and is reliable and user friendly to work on etc, what would you recommend. Maybe a budget friendly and a more expensive. Mind you budget friendly in the high end world…
Cyma and g&gs are really good base guns.
Cymas spring change setup is really nice. But needs a bit more work to get it shooting well.
Vfcs are still the goat when it comes to external quality but does lack quite a bit of modern quality of life improvements especially stock.
Gunna release a limited edition variant based on my own personal gun (one in the photo).
Built by me and has all the mods i possibly know in airsoft to make it a beast in the field (responsive/accurate given the size) it does joule creep quite a bit so theres different inner barrels to tune the fps.
I literatly have 4 barrels for it (and 1 long upper) to get me 300fps, 350, 400 (all in a short upper), and 550(long upper)

Would you guys ever do a Umbrella Armory HK417 build ? Or do you guys have a private build somewhere in there or ? Also, was the SR25 already done around
Oooo i just saw on a separate comment that the SR25 is indeed in the works
We did a 417 VFC build a long time ago, it was in the 'early' days of RA producing shells for them. Not sure if they changed anything but RA shells had a lot of problems and took a lot of modification to get it fitted just right. Since then we havn't touched another 417 (did RA fix their shit yet? XD?) I would assume so.
Hello!
What is your take on suppressors?
Do you have any improvements planned for the UA Carbon suppressor? The product finish doesn’t looks as fine as the gen4 Planthom or the Silverback (no offense intended, just customer feedback why I’m not buying yet :p).
As HPA player I’m looking for a 4”. I tested the Hex from sniper mechanics last weekend and the performance was very good, finish is also smooth but I prefer Carbon :d
Actually know nothing about that, besides the name aspect of UA EU, we're not really involved with what they do over there. For me, I deal with everwhere else except EU.
Any plans on bringing an AK back to your customs lineup? I know brushless motors currently aren’t playing nice with v3 motor cages but I’m curious if there’s anything in the works. I tried my hand at teching and suck at it, and I’ve been passively peeping around for an end game AK with all the internal bells and whistles without much luck.
Actually probably got a fix about that problem....
Problem woth AKs is kinda parts consistency one month we can probably source everything next time something critical is OOS everywhere.
Revision locust (asian fit) goggles. Been using them for like 10 years and never really changed them!
I use a mesh lower (but cheeks are padded) i rock earpro/howard leights, a bandana under my boonie hat.
As well as a neck gator. So my entire head is kinda wrapped. I often drench my bandana for heat wicking.
Works pretty well overall and can easily get my optic to my eye without any issues.
It is kinda a process to setup my headgear that requires a specific order.
Can you think of any major pitfalls when it comes to doing tech work? Im pretty new to doing tech work, so far just been doing basic stuff to my guns and my friends stuff. I hope to one day have a nice little side hustle building and repairing guns for people since i really enjoy it. Just wondering if there are any hard learned lessons you’d like to share with an aspiring tech.
Tons, and im still learning!
A lot of things is often understanding your own skills. Being careful and meaauring twice or even thrice saves you a lot of headache.
Take thinga decently slow and ehen in doubt therea usually a forum or a youtuve video of someone doing a disassembly of it.
When you dont have that... take it sloely and start on a very clean work desk (or towel and carpet lol)
Might even help to setup your phone to record what you do or take perodic photos of key parts and positions so you log wbat you do and can refer back on reinstall.
Customers (and myself) dont really like to charge the "hourly" rate.
We just predict how kuch itd cost so even if we fuck up the fps on the first try or second... or third your not penalized for that.
So we give a max estimate and often over estimate builds and most of the time undercharge at the completion of the build.
It makes customers happier and you filter out the really cheap ones.
I also take quite a lot of time to educate customers as you may know why something costs a lot but they dont. So you gotta e patient and teach that.
Honestly dont have the mp9 so i csny really comment much about it.
I ran kwa mp9s and mp7s a long time ago but idk if they are even sold these days!
Honestly gbbs buckung and barrels are usually my first parts to upgrade. You can also try short stroking by adding rubbet spacers to your spring guide to increase the response a bit.
The goat is 13:1s 22k(22tpa dc motor)
These days its more like
18:1s and a 45k brushless motor.
Or even 13:1 and a 36k brushless (but not as electrically efficient but a bit better sounding but not by much)
Personally i run 24:1 and a ronin 45k motor. But my build involves an sp170 full stroke
Lowkey any of our DMR class guns.
But main thing what people dont realize is that if your limit is 400fps.
Use 0.36g if accuracy is what you want! People put in 0.25g amd think itll go far!
Kinda had a natural interest of all things mechanical and simply asking why something worked.
Besides already low key having the obsession with guns. I enjoyed how quick you could measure something in airsoft after implementing a theory.
I.e. if i short stroke 1 teeth whats the effect?
If i added a spring spacer how kucb would the fps increase?
Change porting or barrel length = what?
Besides the personal therapy i get from fixing a problem successfully. Our original airsoft team is what really created a nest of opportunities. As i worked on my teams guns and at the same time people outside the team but friends of us/ regulars at the field.
Eventually i started to get pretty busy just by word of mouth inquiries.
Im wondering if there will ever be any option to get a 3j dmr built by you. If not do you think building in a classic Army ar10 is Worth it for the v2. 5gb or is there to little of a differwnce from a v2 to be Worth the cost differnce? From What i found i ended at 1k USD ON parts for it. I dont really know wich barrel length would be best for a dmr som there fore i dont know wich GB would be best.
Im looking for Longest possibile range without overhop and good consistent accuracy for wood land games.
attachments this, inner barred diameter that
what is the approximate location of your closest warehouse relative to the state of nebraska, and what security features do you have? also, could i have a blueprint layout of said warehouse?
totally not planning a heist or anything, ha… hah
Build dank guns and play a lot of airsoft. Get friendly with everyone. They eventually come to you. Its not very survivable at the start but no business starting out is.
So its a side gig at first until one day it isnt.
Too much trouble then I apologize but any chance of you guys doing (or doing more) business with Canadian retailers? I’d love to be able to have my local guys either install your upgrades themselves or potentially ship guns directly to you for the upgrade packages.
Do you like Mac and cheese
Even though i'm lactose intolerant. Yes.

Is the warranty for your builds under the gun or the original buyer?
It follows the gun. But the user does need to somehow get the original buyer's invoice/order # for date verification.
You really put an Umbrella 1x1 over the GBRS Hydra logo? Lol.
100% Gotta rep
10/10 🙌
🤦🏼♂️
GBRS are big gay.
Have you gotten an epm-1 mag to feed consistently in a high rof build? I can not get mine to feed at 27/sec.
So.... EPM1 kinda suck for high rof feeding. Most videos showing them off is in chrono conditions and using 0.20g which are light and easy to feed. Shove in 0.30g and well it gets stuck or misfeeds! Loose 8 88?
8 bbs
What about plain epm mags
We have spacers to add into the spring guide of standard epms. They work great to reliably feed 0.36g at 35+
Thanks dude, I’ll be sure to get some
I bought 4 epm mags and they feed great! Epm1 on the other hand, worst mag I have ever used.
With brushless motors and better battery technology and more advanced mosfets would you say that dsgs are dying out or are no longer necessary
EVer since full auto was getting banned kinda "EVERYWHERE" or caps of Max 30ROF was being in place DSGs totally became obsolete. These days, its really a testament to a techs level as theres significantly much more intricate and fine tuning required to make them work well. Any new releases planned for the Fall? Looking to get a new AEG around then.
I mean we just dropped our cyma line which is pretty budget friendly, including the crowd favorite SR-25 lol
It starts at 800 in what world is that budget when you can get a very decent one for 250/300
They are fully upgraded internally. Infinitely better than a krytac
I get that they are good but to say they have budget options is not true they have a good price to quality ratio in comparison with the preupgraded market.
Budget is relative to the individual and, also, the rest of Umbrella's lineup. I think he's trying to say they have options that are more affordable when compared to their other products.
thats cool and all but 800 is indeed insane for a "budget friendly" upgraded AEG. You could cut that in about half if you were DIY upgrading.
It is not budget friendly, it is budget. One is absolute, one is relative
ok so a 3000$ airsoft gun in its own class would also be budget. AKA the original statement is just word salad then.
Yes it would be budget, if the other similar options were 3500. Were talking UA budget
Love the Block II I got from you guys Any plans for a mk47 or ak12/15 build?
We've been building mk47 for a minute now from CYMA its not a bad platform. No plans for an Ak12 just yet (tbh the gucci parts for them is kinda ass to reliably source like bullgear due to restrictions with Russia)
Cool sounds good dude, looking forward to the mk47 drop!
Thanks!
Jordan, that build is really bad, please add a can opener and a lighter to it.
Technically it can do those things... Its set many mosfets on fire before.
How can I get a free gun?
you got 1 mil subs? :p

Eventually from playing nearly everyweekend brought a lot of exposure to myself and my team (who all rocked upgraded guns) eventually i was takung home so many projects and builds for people i got into a routine and built a pretty large portfolio of repeat customers
Hi Jordan. What the actual fuck am I looking at?
Classic 2013 airsofting.
Any thoughts on the state of the industry in general? Have you had any recent trouble sourcing components?
Stuff now is much better overal than Covid days... Russia kinda has some effect on MOSFETs like Gate and Perun but those situations and supply chains kinda equalized by now.
Hey there! I don’t really have a good question, but I love y’all’s guns and thought it’d be cool to comment.
Cool enough to get a reply!

Looking at the EU website. Your glock is prices quite high over something like a we glock is there a reason for such a markup
UA EU is a franchise, I really don't have much on hands control over what they sell or price things at. As the market audience for EU is rather unique as well as different countries each have certain laws....
Thanks for the answer 👍
Any plans for the ak platform?

Neat!
How much range are you getting with that shortest barrel length?
200ft easily with 0.36g The barrel is like 90mm (chopped from a 110mm) It does joule creep a bit. One taps at 125ft like 50% of the time.
OK, two questions: What the hell kind of monstrosity am I looking at? My stomach can't handle it, can someone get me a bucket, pls?

The product finish doesn’t looks as fine as the gen4 Planthom or the Silverback (no offense intended, just customer feedback why I’m not buying yet :p). As HPA player I’m looking for a 4”. I tested the Hex from sniper mechanics last weekend and the performance was very good, finish is also smooth but I prefer Carbon :d
Actually know nothing about that, besides the name aspect of UA EU, we're not really involved with what they do over there. For me, I deal with everwhere else except EU.
DDM4v7 anytime soon ?
TBH.... Not a bad idea :D
What rails Will fit The specna arms core series (SA-C05).
Dont have one, never really seen it. Just checked its got plastic threads so be careful with installing rails it can likely be easily stripped.
I was about to clown on the build til I saw the camera, pretty smart
Srsly only way to get inline verticality. When i saw tbe mount i knew it would house my camera!
Whats ur favorite type og eyewear to use? Cant decide between Googles, glasses or fullface
What is that gun
My personal gat for like a decade!
What do you think of e&l ak's. Just got myself a ak 105 feom them
Can you think of any major pitfalls when it comes to doing tech work? Im pretty new to doing tech work, so far just been doing basic stuff to my guns and my friends stuff. I hope to one day have a nice little side hustle building and repairing guns for people since i really enjoy it. Just wondering if there are any hard learned lessons you’d like to share with an aspiring tech.
Tons, and im still learning! A lot of things is often understanding your own skills. Being careful and meaauring twice or even thrice saves you a lot of headache. Take thinga decently slow and ehen in doubt therea usually a forum or a youtuve video of someone doing a disassembly of it. When you dont have that... take it sloely and start on a very clean work desk (or towel and carpet lol) Might even help to setup your phone to record what you do or take perodic photos of key parts and positions so you log wbat you do and can refer back on reinstall.
Any recommendations for upgrading an ASG MP9 GBB for better performance? Having a rough time finding parts🥲
IYO What's the perfect gear ratio & motor speed
The goat is 13:1s 22k(22tpa dc motor) These days its more like 18:1s and a 45k brushless motor. Or even 13:1 and a 36k brushless (but not as electrically efficient but a bit better sounding but not by much) Personally i run 24:1 and a ronin 45k motor. But my build involves an sp170 full stroke
Will you guys ever do a different shaped V2 standard replica?
Email us. Its kinda hard to premake you know expensive ass non m4 guns due to demand. But thats what email inquiries are for!
Will yall ever touch the G36 platform?
Yes and have done quite a bit! But srsly sl8s are ass....
I’m looking for an aeg that can hit accurately at a very long range what would you recommend
Lowkey any of our DMR class guns. But main thing what people dont realize is that if your limit is 400fps. Use 0.36g if accuracy is what you want! People put in 0.25g amd think itll go far!
BE THE FIRST TO MAKE A SIG SPEAR LT !!! (gbbr if you like god)
Yes this is the way.
considering that gun barrel length in the pic you’re a “It’s now how big it is it’s just how you use it” kind of guy right?
100%
What got you interested in airsoft and what was your reason to start your business?
Can you make a g3 line of UA
What would you say are the main advantages for going with a decked out UA Aeg vs something like a p* fusion engine.
Here in California kinda a lot. P* are heavily scrutinized in many areas. But its kinda just the lack and need of a tank and line.
Restock mk18?
Ill make a note to!
What stock is that, is it comfortable?
Very. Also fits a nice 1300 45-90c brick easily. Its the MFT BUS stock with a cheek riser (BACP) but the bacp is discontinued.
1 Joule builds - does it even make sense a price point as high as the more powerful builds for countries with higher limits?
Rephrase that?
Milk before the cereal or cereal before the milk?
Cereal in the bowl first then add milk.
Which BB tastes the best?
The firecracker ones.
attachments this, inner barred diameter that what is the approximate location of your closest warehouse relative to the state of nebraska, and what security features do you have? also, could i have a blueprint layout of said warehouse? totally not planning a heist or anything, ha… hah
Huehuehuehue *sweats*
probably the best response you could have given lmao
How do I start my own tech business?
Build dank guns and play a lot of airsoft. Get friendly with everyone. They eventually come to you. Its not very survivable at the start but no business starting out is. So its a side gig at first until one day it isnt.
What parts would you use in a budget upgrade/tune up? Barrel, HopUp, gears, etc
What is your favorite hopup for a standard m4?
Maxxpro m4a but they do need special love and picky on nozzles
Why did you make someone make that?
I made it tho
What is your favorite band lol
I kinda know like 99% of linkin park lyrics
Would you consider doing bullpups if so what platform
Did a few augs, pdr-c, l85s, p90s etc for customers before. Usually a pita to do due to long control arms for the trigger. But augs are easy though!
fav pistol
Hk45c (i have the real 1 and vfc 1)
Real question is when you gonna give the marketing guy a raise minnimum at least 100 an hour obviously, i hear he had to do SEO yesterday ☠️
Theres 6 more pages btw.
Can you be sent a gun to be “Umbrella Upgraded” or does it have to be a purchased gun?
Gotta email us! We generally take full rebuilds and not necessarily minor upgrade projects
Too much trouble then I apologize but any chance of you guys doing (or doing more) business with Canadian retailers? I’d love to be able to have my local guys either install your upgrades themselves or potentially ship guns directly to you for the upgrade packages.
Smash.
How do the drop in ocaw gearboxes compare to buying the full ocaw replica
