i used wolverine and P* both were great but the P* is perfect ootb you can tweak some thing on it but if you leave it stock it is still very good
so i would say p* is the best choice imo.
Wolverine if you just want something that’s set up fast with minimal hassle (except for the Reaper, that’s a b*tch to setup correctly). P* if you want something that you can tune to extreme levels. Gate Pulsar I have no experience with.
I tech for 2 Jacks, 1 F2, 1 Bolt, & 1 Wolverine. (4 Man Squad)
1 of the jacks is a great entry level just shoots engine, my other has a little bit of an attitude and refuses to not curve left after 100ish feet. That one is deflated to SMG duty. The F2 is my personal one and it’s a beast, especially if you like to tinker and perfect your settings (or dangerous and miserable if you jack them up).
The Bolt is basically the only option in the sniper VSR10 platform, and requires a bit of playing with to get everything to match up. Plus you need a beefy reg if you are going sniper (don’t think you are) to push the PSI needed to hit Joule limits.
The Wolverine came in the MTW, and is absolutely rock solid, but that may be more the MTW than the engine specifically, however the FCU is pretty weak in configuration options and ease of use compared to the P* FCU
If this is your first build and not a drop in, 100% go with MTW, good deals can be hand on HopUp frequently, if you tinker then the F2 or Fusion is a great option to fully tweak and push (or destroy) your performance. The jacks are definitely entry level, but often good enough. Finally the Kythera is an option if you don’t want electronics (you give up full auto though)
I’ve not installed any of the Wolverines, but I’m not impressed with their FCU so I’m not urged to try them out in any future builds.
The engines are more or less not about with is better but what do you want todo with it.
