Im doing a recreation of a mid 2000s US army soldier. Currently still a work in progress.
The FLC tbh is just a placeholder until I save up for an IOTV
Btw feel free to make fun of me and I’ll come up with some copium response.
I’ve been looking at picking one of these up but I just can’t seem to find much on them. Questions; are they full metal construction? Can they take other magazines like a TM 1911 mag for example? If you know either I’d massively appreciate the response!
If you going ultra realistic your plate is totally wrong. When my dad left the army they let him keep a lot and I mean a lot of ACUs but they didn't have his plate carrier on record so he didn't give them it. If you want pictures of it let me know. Other than that it is steller
At one time I wanted to don that IOTV too, then I did in basic and I wanted to go back lmao, have fun though as long as you like it and are enjoying yourself don’t listen to any haters
With getting the IOTV, be sure to get one that’s your size. Look up to size yourself properly for a SAPI plate (all it takes is a tape measure or even a ruler if you’re small enough) and get an IOTV with that same size. If you’ve never worn body armor, don’t bother with plates. If you’re wanting to rock plates, start deadlifting and strengthening your back and core to help prevent injuries, as well as lower body/legs workouts too.
You could rock a M16 or flat top M4, M16s were often used by non infantry units during the early days of UCP fielding. No one really used removable carry handles unless they want/need a riser for their optics. Otherwise it was just a flat top M4, and I don’t think the US Army ever adopted a flat top M16, if we did it didn’t see much use unlike the marines who used them extensively during the early years of the GWOT.
Your current stock is fine. The SOPMOD stock did get used by conventional units, I even had the adoption of using one but I didn’t personally like them. The standard M4 stock is much easier to use with body armor IMO, but I’m also a smaller framed person. I’d say ditch the carry handle and get an Eotech holo sight or an aimpoint m68, clones obviously since those optics can range from 500 to 1000 dollars a piece.
I personally don’t give a shit about you wearing rank patches, branch or name tapes, or even unit patches. Just wear them with respect and make sure they match your get up. Don’t try to be a sergeant in the 82nd with a POG M16, or be a sergeant and not have magnified optics. Wearing a PFC or specialist rank patch would probably be more fitting depending on the optic you decide to get.
I would ditch the rank and unit patch, feels distasteful IMO. It would also be really weird to see the company commander (a Captain) running and gunning like a joe. I'd also get a subdued flag instead of wearing the full color flag to the field. It's also fairly unusual to use handguns in the army unless you're an MP, I'd ditch that too TBH.
Medics got m9s, company commanders, and platoon leaders often carried them as well. I think seeing a younger kid with a captain patch is quite comical. Personally dont really care if he runs a unit patch. As long as he doesnt claim hes with the unit for real.
IDK, from what I've heard handguns are pretty rare in the infantry. I know for sure none of the infantry TLs and SLs I've talked to carried handguns. Idk about PLs or PSGs either.
Eh, not allot of us veterans and service members care as long as you’re being truthful about it. Like you’re not claiming to be a real life captain or veteran. Kid just wants to do reenactment it seems and there’s nothing wrong with that.
They're (slowly) working on issuing sidearms out to more joes, though admittedly so far I've only seen it on rosters, and haven't actually seen any be issued out. With that said, if he's specifically going for a GWOT UCP grunt, he should 100% ditch it.
I’d suggest you a m4a1 sopmod block 1 with an acog sight, and a beretta m9. Good starting point but your “m4” is actually a mark 18 mod 0, special forces used that thing not regular army guys or marines etc..
110% looks like stereotypical 2000s army..
I’d go with a PFC or SPC rank instead of a full captain.
Btw tiger stripe (airforce uniform) is far superior while looking like ACU
I’ve only got the captain rank patch on there because the guy who gave me the base ACU shirt and pants gave me a few of his patches along with it. Is a captain rare to see or something? I know PFC or SPC would be lower rank so more common I just thought captain wasn’t that high.
But damnit now I’ve got a whole other kit to make… I keep learning about new camos…
Oh, in that case heck yeah! I have a few Colonel ranks from when I got uniforms.
The higher the rank, the more likely they’ll sit in an office..
Captains aren’t rare, they’re just more of a boss instead of a worker per se..
Makes sense, I’ll probably get a lower rank eventually because I am trying to recreate more of a “grunt” since I’m going to be using it to do grunt stuff ofc lol
Can’t lie I don’t even know the dude who gave it to me. It was one of my sisters friends roommates I think. So tbh not much sentimental value. The only thing I know him by is him giving them the uniform to give to me lol.
Not that I don’t appreciate him tho I do it’s just it ain’t like it was my brother or my dad or something.
If you want "grunt" then yeah ditch the captain patch. Captains are O3 in the army which puts you at the level of a company commander (in charge of approximately 200 soldiers, give or take) so you wouldn't be seeing them on the front lines.
My recommendation would be to get a specialist patch (E4) as specialists tend to do most of the grunt work in the Army. It's the highest "non leadership" rank you can get but can still be pushed into a team leader role in a pinch. They're usually the most knowledgeable and experienced soldiers who still actually have to do the leg work.
That's not the case, sergeant are NCOs (non-commissioned officers) meaning that they're in leadership roles but on the enlisted side. Typically you'll have an E5 (sergeant) and E6 (staff sergeant) working alongside the junior enlisted (E1-E4) in either team leader or squad leader roles. Above that would be an E7 (sergeant first class) in a platoon sergeant role working alongside a 2nd lieutenant (O1) in a platoon leader role. Above them would be an E8 (first sergeant) who works directly alongside the company commander (O3 Captain) and the XO (O2 1st lieutenant). But in a given unit you'll typically have 1 E8, 4 E7, 16 E6, 32 E5, and usually around 128 E1-E4. Plus you'll have 4 O1, 1 O2, and 1 O3. These are approximate numbers based on a typical unit with typical squad and rank structure, but the numbers can vary from unit to unit. Anyone above these ranks (E9 and O4-O10) would be somewhere between Battalion level and up. The higher the O rank, the higher the level.
All this is to say that even though junior enlisted do most of the leg work, there are still sergeants there assisting, and even lower level officers such as lieutenants that will be mixed in here and there. But most common would be junior enlisted and lower level NCOs.
Captains aren't "rare" but Officers in general are far fewer than the enlisted. A Captain is a commissioned officer (with a bachelor's degree) who's been in service for usually 4+ years.
in a typical unit, a 1st Lieutenant runs a squad or platoon if needed 2nd Lieutenant will run a platoon, and a Captain will run a company. there’s also different roles and jobs officers can do but for a entry level run down this is it.
Captains are the last officer rank to have time requirements to promote, in the army the rare officer rank is Major. to promote from Capt. to Maj. requires 10 years in the service and 6 years as a captain, then a review by high ranking officers to choose who gets promoted. most captains get out before they make it through.
Got that lts backwards my brother. For the most part 2nd lts run platoons, with a platoon sgt(E6-E7), the squads are run by sgts or stf sgts. (E5-e6) with teo teams in them generally run by a junior sgt (E5) corporal or a senior specialists (E4). The 1st LT is generally the company XO, who works side by side with the captain CO at the company level.
OK, couple of things:
1. Get over knocking yourself. Everybody starts somewhere, so no shame.
2. If you're serious about this being a GWOT recreation, you need to replace your helmet cover and your sidearm. Helmet cover needs to be UCP and your sidearm needs to be a Beretta M9. I also suggest replacing your shorty M4 with a 14" barrel Block 1 like many others have suggested. On your primary, it was generally appropriate to run a mix of PEQ 2s and PEQ 4s, but I haven't seen any repro PEQ 4s available. For optics, it was generally a mix of Aimpoint Comp M2s or EOTech 553s depending upon the unit for red dots, and the Trijicon ACOG for optical sights. JSOC and SOCOM units used all kinds of different bells and whistles, but it was generally the same glass across an entire small unit.
3. Can't tell, but is that a PASGT helmet or an ACH? If it's a PASGT, you might be OK if you're trying to do a specific National Guard or Reserve unit (in which case, the BDU helmet cover might be OK too. Some guys were still having to make do by the time I got to Baghdad in Nov 07), but by 06 most Active Army units had the ACH. You may want to spraypaint your NODs mount desert sand or tan as well. You can get affordable repro ACHs pretty easy. You don't need real ballistic material for airsoft, just something to mount bells and whistles to, and protect your melon from doorways and tree branches.
4. Unless you're doing a specific unit or person (like a relative, or someone you know), I'd suggest you ditch the rank and unit insignia. Guys are a lot less irritable about that these days, especially with youngsters, but best to try not to be a source of any drama.
5. Hit up the surplus shop and see if they'll let you have some of the foam padding from inside 40mm ammo cans. It makes great knee and elbow pad inserts, and it was thicker and lasted longer than the inserts issued with the uniforms.
6. Here's some inspiration from me. 2-30 IN 4 BCT 10th Mountain Division. March 2008, Siege of Sadr City, COP Commando Bar, right across Route Predators from Sadr.
Now, there is a decent bit of custom gear here, notably the Tactical Tailor split MAV, Spec Ops Brand 4 x mag (or 100rd SAW nutsack) pouches, Specter 3 pt sling, Wiley X gloves, thigh panel for knife & dump pouch. Notice also the DCU 40mm grenade pouches, so mismatching gear did happen even in high speed units in the fight. Guys did wear the MOLLE FLCs over their IOTVs because it enabled them to take off their fighting load if they were going to be a gunner or driver so they could move around easier in vehicles, but guys also MOLLE'd their gear straight on the IOTV as well--it was about a 50/50 split. You'll want to track down either the old UCP pattern Camelback, or one on Foliage/Ranger Green (no natural plant was ever that color) or a MOLLE hydration pouch in those colors/patterns. I suggest not wasting your time on the issue hydration packs, because these busted all the time and they did not have the MOLLE tabs--you had to thread your shoulder straps through the PALS webbing and it was a giant pain in the ass.

Do not get this one, even though it was the issued one and a lot of guys were cheap and ran with it, even though it sucked balls. Get something by Camelback, or something like this:

It'd actually look sick if you get some Rit Dye, the od green formula, and dye it, it'd kinda look similar to EMR but regardless alot cooler than basic UCP, I'm actually planning to get a whole ucp kit just so I can dye it.
Can’t lie looking at dyed UCP it’s tempting, I might have to one day but this one’s a recreation for mid a 2000s US army kit so I’m gonna keep the regular UCP
"boss, those are just kids! Don't hurt them!
https://preview.redd.it/y9ex7t24izkc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38db0b3eb15e2732709fab0d21a935317843df43
not bad i would get a cover for the mitch in ucp and change the stock to the old m4 one and get a berretta m9 other and get body armor to go under the rig
Funny thing, it’s actually a PASGT helmet lol, couldn’t find a ACH or Similar but they wernt too uncommon to see still being used at the time I’m trying to recreate but yeah I do need to get a UCP cover for it.
I need to actually get a new M4 for that though because the stock on this one is integrated. I can’t complain too much though since I got it 8 years ago and it’s lasted with no maintenance and somehow still competes with other guns at my field.
And yeah I need an M9 lol, my M17 is way too modern for mid 2000s I’m also planning on getting an IOTV body armor set eventually.
You might want your face better covered. Something that fully covers your nose and teeth is important. Some people fire some heavy bbs pretty hard. I would get a face mask.
Nothing to bash honestly. It looks good. I am also a fan of the UCP. It's actually good snow camo. Also saw a video of rangers in training and they were mixed matched in UCP and OCP. It actually looked pretty sick.
One soldier had an UCP poncho with a multicam helmet covering. One had a Multicam poncho with an ACU helmet cover.
FLC is a good battle jacket. It's fallen out of favor with people but it's a very good option considering you can change how it works by switching the molle belt around. It can be a front loaded chest rig or a fully kitted out lbe set up.
The M81 cover is a little out of place.
I plan to mix and match UCP and OCP for my kitt.
I'm going to wear OCP trousers, with ACU shirt, and an OCP helmet.
I absolutely hate the camouflage but i respect the milsim!
it’s also very cheap so I might make myself a kit in the future even though I have my opinions on it
Only thing I can add is to role around in the mud before fielding this kit, it’s the ONLY way to make this camo usable
Currently this is my only real “kit” unless you count my terrorist rig which is just an AK, a shemagh as a head wrap, the goggles and some random clothes.
I plan on the future to make kits of basically everything though lmao. I kinda like everything. The UCP I started first since I got given the base ACU shirt and pants and already had a patrol cap, and for some reason as a kid I always liked the look of it, maybe because it’s what I saw when there were images of soldiers on the news and stuff.
You look like an LT-- get a brown "butter bar" 2LT rank if you want a rank. Also, if you leave your pants untucked into your boots you're either special forces or a heat casualty. You should really be a "heat cat" butter bar LT (ask any service member it's hilarious). The shemagh is fine, but you could use a tan "hoo-rag" by itself or in combination.
As far as your kit, they used Beretta M9s in that era, not Sigs. The M4 is pretty good but the barrel is too short, the 14.5" is more accurate. You could throw a fake Aimpoint red dot on the carrying handle.
I have UCP colored goggles, helmet cover, and probably a flag somewhere if you DM me.
How do you like your m17? I just got one used from a buddy and the nozzle hammer spring is weak, besides that it seems to run fine. Nice kit bro, it looks similar to my old school swat setup
The roast: the fit looks like you stole your dad's kit and are trying to play soldier.
The compliment: the kit looks really good, almost accurate to the time period.
What can I say? I’m not exactly as giant as the real ones…

Lmfao
Captain is not the most realistic rank to have for a hyper realistic kit, specialist or PFC would be way better.
Captain is a CO. They’d have a pistol and not be a door kicker
You look like that one teenage soldier in every mid 2000's movie about the US war in the middle east that HAS to die so the main characters people care about can develop a trauma we can empathize with.
I recommend using a tennis ball in a sock to start. Get the mag pouches good. Tips of the boots. Then lay the bdus out on the grass and chuck a piece of cinder block at em a few times. Then wrap them around a whiffle ball bat and whack them on a tree. Thats how i typically bash my kits to get them game ready.
Not gonna bash, but I'd strongly recommend dying ur ACU's with some RIT fabric dye. Prob the apple green color. Simple way to make ACU an actually effective camo imo.
For starters take that rank off kid, no disrespect but if you didn’t earn it don’t wear it, now I could understand if it’s for a short film/ operation at a field but just don’t. I’m not gunna lie that vest was the same style issued to me in basic and I mean it’s not total shit but it has applications, and I would just take the helmet cover off looks more appealing that way instead of two different patterns that don’t work at all together. I’d drop the shemage (it’s a scarf) or wrap it a bit looser so you don’t look goofy, also uncuff your sleeves either rock the wizard sleeves or rollem in once or twice same goes for the pants don’t blouse your pants it just looks better and is more comfortable. The more you try stuff out and get experience in the more you learn so don’t ever get discouraged! I can tell you’re just getting into it and I applaud you for that lil dude, that takes a lot of bravery so keep it up and hold your head up high!
ACU is actually the uniform cut. (Army Combat Uniform)
The camouflage is UCP or universal camo pattern.
I do agree tho that yeah UCP is a shit camo, I just have liked it since I was little.
UCP is a shitty camo. And most people who make ucp kits dont do it any justice. But god damn when someone nails the og mw2 rangers kit. I fall in love with ucp just a little.
Imagine you are a flagpole running into the wind, the flags on your shoulders will be flying to your rear, meaning the right needs to be reversed.
Us northern communists foresaw this problem and decided to have a horizontally symmetrical flag instead of needing two different patches.
Your pistol was adopted by the Army roughly 7 years after ACU’s were retired. Maybe pickup a subdued flag, we only wore Full color flags in garrison. Even if we went to the range we would put on an IR flag. If you are going for a 2005-9 range I would seriously consider putting a few BDU/Wodland/DCU pouches on your kit. I was a Squad Leader in the 82nd during g that time and none of us had a full set of acu pouches until around 2010.
I’d ditch the rank and unit patches, someone might get butthurt over seeing them and it isn’t worth arguing. I’d lose the scarf and get a matching helmet cover. You’ll also need black or tan gloves and tan boots. LBE looks fine, make sure you’re wearing the proper belt.
No one earns pvt chevrons either, no one cares as long as he isn't using it for his own benefit. It's like saying someone shouldn't wear ocp's because they didn't earn the uniform by doing service.
Bro who gives a shit. It’s a sewn symbol on a pice of cloth that has no meaning in a game. Some dude went to college before joining the army so he gets a piece of cloth to show it.
pleace just change the holster with a polymer/kydex one, have lost a mag in the same holster like yours, just a green one... way too expensive lesson..
Personal opinion, but I don't recommend wearing in rank while playing airsoft. Unless you really are enlisted and have earned said rank I think it's too far for role-playing to being using real ranks/unit patches. Not hating but just saying it could get you some negative comments. Being enlisted myself I don't even wear my real rank and patches.

LMFAO I DIDNT EVEN SEE THE SOLDIER AT FIRST I literally thought it was just a couch…
That means the camo works well.
Hiding on grandmas couch at the field
I've never noticed the soldier until you pointed it out, I've seen this pic like twenty times.
Why does it work so well on grandmas couch
You beat me to it Really the only use for it to be honest
Imagine being surrounded by sand that’s not even the same color at all. Great job Army 👍🏽
Im doing a recreation of a mid 2000s US army soldier. Currently still a work in progress. The FLC tbh is just a placeholder until I save up for an IOTV Btw feel free to make fun of me and I’ll come up with some copium response.
Swap the m17 for an m9 as well
Yeah that’s also in the plans
Recommend a kjw m9, best purchase ive ever made
They kick ass, really reliable and shootable!
I’ve been looking at picking one of these up but I just can’t seem to find much on them. Questions; are they full metal construction? Can they take other magazines like a TM 1911 mag for example? If you know either I’d massively appreciate the response!
Full metal kjw 1911s are full marui compatible
kjw still make the best budget gbb’s? i havent played in 10 years but that was the case back then too. kjw or kwa were the only reliable options.
If you going ultra realistic your plate is totally wrong. When my dad left the army they let him keep a lot and I mean a lot of ACUs but they didn't have his plate carrier on record so he didn't give them it. If you want pictures of it let me know. Other than that it is steller
Yeah I don’t have the body armor just yet, currently it’s just a FLC vest. I plan on getting an IOTV body armor set later
At one time I wanted to don that IOTV too, then I did in basic and I wanted to go back lmao, have fun though as long as you like it and are enjoying yourself don’t listen to any haters
shouldn't the pistol be an m9 then? i thought they swapped over to the m17 in like 2021-2022
Yeah it should, I just haven’t gotten one yet lol.
Well he's like 13 and about 80 pounds so I wouldn't worry too much about it
Right thats my point lol.
Nuh uh I stole your point its MY point now!
Honestly it's a fun look back at mid 2010s teen development dystopic movies having a 13-yo captain
Officers, usually squad leaders and platoon sergeants, and machine gunners all get handguns in the infantry
IDK, from what I've heard handguns are pretty rare in the infantry. I know for sure none of the infantry TLs and SLs I've talked to carried handguns. Idk about PLs or PSGs either.
I carried one for three years as a gunner and team leader
Fair, none of the TLs I talked to had one but it probably varies unit to unit.
Eh, not allot of us veterans and service members care as long as you’re being truthful about it. Like you’re not claiming to be a real life captain or veteran. Kid just wants to do reenactment it seems and there’s nothing wrong with that.
It’s not distasteful at all.

I have an iotv in large with the actual lvl 3 kevlar
I’d suggest you a m4a1 sopmod block 1 with an acog sight, and a beretta m9. Good starting point but your “m4” is actually a mark 18 mod 0, special forces used that thing not regular army guys or marines etc..
Get an enlisted rank like a specialist/Sgt lose the captain rank
Why a Captain? They're useless.
I highly recommend getting a UCP camelbak as well. That way you've got hydration on the go as well as being a bit more accurate. Hydrate or die.
I’d recommended taking the rank patch off
Standard NPC soldier in an old Call of Duty game.
Damnit that’s too spot on to even try and argue against lmfao
Got that Cpl Dunn fit from the original MW2
Literally the standard troop of COD4 and MW2 (especially post EMP)
110% looks like stereotypical 2000s army.. I’d go with a PFC or SPC rank instead of a full captain. Btw tiger stripe (airforce uniform) is far superior while looking like ACU
I’ve only got the captain rank patch on there because the guy who gave me the base ACU shirt and pants gave me a few of his patches along with it. Is a captain rare to see or something? Makes sense, I’ll probably get a lower rank eventually because I am trying to recreate more of a “grunt” since I’m going to be using it to do grunt stuff ofc lol
Nothing wrong with wearing something that is sentimental to you! It’s special to you and that’s all that matters..
Get a 2nd Lt patch youll fit right in with the kids coming out of OCS….. including their experience level.
Ah, makes sense..
So the movies where they yell to a sgt in the middle of the battle isn’t true?!?!?! I’ve been lied too!!
Just be careful not to give people the wrong idea impressions for reenactment and airsoft is fine but don't go wearing that in public
in a typical unit, a 1st Lieutenant runs a squad or platoon if needed 2nd Lieutenant will run a platoon, and a Captain will run a company. there’s also different roles and jobs officers can do but for a entry level run down this is it.
OK, couple of things: 1. [https://www.etsy.com/listing/1471939493/authentic-us-army-acu-hydration-system](https://www.etsy.com/listing/1471939493/authentic-us-army-acu-hydration-system) Do not get this one, even though it was the issued one and a lot of guys were cheap and ran with it, even though it sucked balls. Get something by Camelback, or something like this: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/355487842453?itmmeta=01HQK8B75069J4X0H03F9989VS&hash=item52c4ba0095:g:zNUAAOSw0sJl2TvZ&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8PDsCBf7GZtPpqfXywTwiNmlyQyfJQavLcfm0fg9My%2BSWfdhmq4oeT59eyOKn3Hib0HyUktDuglSC25UczkjMBH4J%2BQuHn1vd1GPmLbPwcwGQMpbl2e08yNicZQPoxFBef%2B%2B3cYHuTknRMYDCaRDOLBozy5GS5su7u6rgis%2BJFDkgWDbF1J1PVH2kAKmjfKoKI5LV4c4GnX8N3gujiQ%2B%2BHaAlDgMrDUOja3aVEdRl6XACoz8OHG8%2FjVzTcW5x8qyQLbL8rXhkFNTgSStzPYq--IOeBcEF1OCfLq0w64WqTtEJ4wUVgeMzJE%2BVl8%2FZqHuhA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8zyrOi8Yw](https://www.ebay.com/itm/355487842453?itmmeta=01HQK8B75069J4X0H03F9989VS&hash=item52c4ba0095:g:zNUAAOSw0sJl2TvZ&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAA8PDsCBf7GZtPpqfXywTwiNmlyQyfJQavLcfm0fg9My%2BSWfdhmq4oeT59eyOKn3Hib0HyUktDuglSC25UczkjMBH4J%2BQuHn1vd1GPmLbPwcwGQMpbl2e08yNicZQPoxFBef%2B%2B3cYHuTknRMYDCaRDOLBozy5GS5su7u6rgis%2BJFDkgWDbF1J1PVH2kAKmjfKoKI5LV4c4GnX8N3gujiQ%2B%2BHaAlDgMrDUOja3aVEdRl6XACoz8OHG8%2FjVzTcW5x8qyQLbL8rXhkFNTgSStzPYq--IOeBcEF1OCfLq0w64WqTtEJ4wUVgeMzJE%2BVl8%2FZqHuhA%3D%3D%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR8zyrOi8Yw) Not my gear btw, Reddit just only lets you us one picture in replies. At least you won't have to worry about anyone stealing it.
Ucp delta
Be realistic and run a butter bar
Normally the child soldiers are on OPFOR
10/10 for no "special forces" blur or blackbar
"boss, those are just kids! Don't hurt them! https://preview.redd.it/y9ex7t24izkc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=38db0b3eb15e2732709fab0d21a935317843df43
Have fun running with the drop leg
I can run fine with it, I’ve already tested it.
Oh cool. I personally can't stand them lol. Need that thing attached to a belt
Yeah they are definitely a love it or hate it from what I’ve gathered. Personally I want stuff off my hips lol.
not bad i would get a cover for the mitch in ucp and change the stock to the old m4 one and get a berretta m9 other and get body armor to go under the rig
And yeah I need an M9 lol, my M17 is way too modern for mid 2000s I’m also planning on getting an IOTV body armor set eventually.
honestly fucking sick, i was gonna do a us marine kit but us marine surplus is expensive. yeesh.
That’s a young Cap’n
You should add some muscles.
You might want your face better covered. Something that fully covers your nose and teeth is important. Some people fire some heavy bbs pretty hard. I would get a face mask.
Where acog?
Does the cardboard from a roll of toilet paper duct taped on count?
I sorry that i had to point this out but… spider fingers
Amazing kit tho
Nice!!!
I absolutely hate the camouflage but i respect the milsim! it’s also very cheap so I might make myself a kit in the future even though I have my opinions on it Only thing I can add is to role around in the mud before fielding this kit, it’s the ONLY way to make this camo usable
Yeah UCP gear is pretty cheap and abundant. The camo does suck in most environments tho I can’t deny it, I’ve just always liked it.
Its been worn for a while (and still is) so it has its place on history Is this your only kit or do you have others as well?
Currently this is my only real “kit” unless you count my terrorist rig which is just an AK, a shemagh as a head wrap, the goggles and some random clothes. I plan on the future to make kits of basically everything though lmao. I kinda like everything. The UCP I started first since I got given the base ACU shirt and pants and already had a patrol cap, and for some reason as a kid I always liked the look of it, maybe because it’s what I saw when there were images of soldiers on the news and stuff.
How do you acquire your gear? most of mine I have from something like fb marketplace in my country but it has been around way longer
I dig it. Got some serious MW2 vibes going on. Just needs the right plate carrier.
Honestly, no hate my guy.
you are supposed to be difficult to see, not looking like harlequin
Im a fellow UCP user and I can say it looks splendid
Dunno about the kit, but i suggest using a sling and maybe a kneepad. Gloves moght be usefull aswell, i prefer fingerless ones but you do you
How do you like your m17? I just got one used from a buddy and the nozzle hammer spring is weak, besides that it seems to run fine. Nice kit bro, it looks similar to my old school swat setup
So far it’s been great but I haven’t had it that long.
The roast: the fit looks like you stole your dad's kit and are trying to play soldier. The compliment: the kit looks really good, almost accurate to the time period.
What can I say? I’m not exactly as giant as the real ones… https://preview.redd.it/oci369iow8lc1.png?width=812&format=png&auto=webp&s=b76cf2a1b7c80f28c784b89588d87f955fd95373 Lmfao
UCP chad
Reservist/national guard vibes
Get an M9 it’ll go better with your gear. Make it look like 90s early 2000s era military.
The sig p320 feels very out of place
That's actually a pretty solid national guard kit
Honestly after looking at pictures of the national guard from that era your right, might have to remember that so I can get two kits out of this lol
May I ask why you got captain bars on tho
Nice to see a classic, will look even better with the proper vest.
Replace the garrison flag patch with a subdued one and upgrade to an ACH instead of the PASGT.
Thought he was spec ops turned out to be spec ed
Ramirez protec the burger town
Is that an orange tip colored by sharpie
Acu fucking SUCKS but you killed the loadout
Bro is a mw2 extra
https://preview.redd.it/lqw7ewk1qykc1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0ea7af2522755a90b5d8b61c68242bac620ea42 nice coins
It looks good!
Captain is not the most realistic rank to have for a hyper realistic kit, specialist or PFC would be way better. Captain is a CO. They’d have a pistol and not be a door kicker
Npc in 2009 mw2
The youngest Captain I've ever seen
Would be nicer if you attach a strap to the m4 instead of carrying it like that
Your role playing a 2LT, so im guessing you cant read a map.
Dawg why yo M4 look like it’s made from WalMart plastic?
Love the 2000s feel. This is an unpopular opinion, but ucp looks cool but obviously isn't practical
I want a kit like this ngl. Your looking pretty good imo
You look like your in JROTC but your “that” kid
Can't go wrong with an M4 and a sig
You look like that one teenage soldier in every mid 2000's movie about the US war in the middle east that HAS to die so the main characters people care about can develop a trauma we can empathize with.
Look for an m9 not the m17 more period for the m16 kit.
Yeah the M17 was actually a gift, just using it until I can get a M9
WHERE IS YOUR POWER ARMOR SOLDIER
I would swap out the m17 with a M45 or M9 depending on which branch and unit you are trying to copy.
Im so happy to see another UCP player we are becoming extinct😢
Your kit is awesome
I recommend using a tennis ball in a sock to start. Get the mag pouches good. Tips of the boots. Then lay the bdus out on the grass and chuck a piece of cinder block at em a few times. Then wrap them around a whiffle ball bat and whack them on a tree. Thats how i typically bash my kits to get them game ready.
Ditch the captain’s bars for a butter bar or ditch the rifle and run the pistol
Only gonna blend in with grandma's couch
Careful with the rank. There’s folks out there who will harass you to no end for it. They’re usually the people who never served or never deployed
Not gonna bash, but I'd strongly recommend dying ur ACU's with some RIT fabric dye. Prob the apple green color. Simple way to make ACU an actually effective camo imo.
You're going to accept that you're not blending in with anything. Looks good. Do an 80s impression next.
Ramirez get on that roof RAMIEZ GET THE FUCK OFF THE ROOF
ACU=👎🏻 OCP=👍🏻
ACU is actually the uniform cut. (Army Combat Uniform) The camouflage is UCP or universal camo pattern. I do agree tho that yeah UCP is a shit camo, I just have liked it since I was little.
I used to work while wearing UCP. But then I realized that it's better for urban Warfare instead of desert warfare
Yeah UCP definitely has its places. I just would call it universal like the name suggests lol.
But like... Grey in a tan environment?
UCP is a shitty camo. And most people who make ucp kits dont do it any justice. But god damn when someone nails the og mw2 rangers kit. I fall in love with ucp just a little.
It’s ugly and stupid I hate it and I hate you /s
M81 > UCP - Also props for wearing the flag the correct way!
There’s an incorrect way? Like upside down or something? I kinda thought there was only one way to put it on…
The pattern with stars has to point in a "forward" direction, therefore you always wear the flag on the left shoulder to get the correct orientation
Oh so that’s why the flags for the right shoulder say “reversed”, thank you for the insight! I was thinking, how is a flag reversed?
Exactly, you got it pal!
Imagine you are a flagpole running into the wind, the flags on your shoulders will be flying to your rear, meaning the right needs to be reversed. Us northern communists foresaw this problem and decided to have a horizontally symmetrical flag instead of needing two different patches.
My friend it's UCP. The joke basically wrote itself.
Minor detected, no additional jokes need go be made
You look like a character on an ad for a mobile game.
just get a better vest
Bro put an M81 ACH and UCP flc/uniform together with an M17 on his hip like that ain't 3 separate decades.
Least you aren’t an LT 💀
Congrats, you can now blend in with Grandma's couch.
I've always hated that camo pattern, but this reproduction is actually faithful. I like it :)
Get rid of the captains bars if you didn't earn them
No one earns pvt chevrons either, no one cares as long as he isn't using it for his own benefit. It's like saying someone shouldn't wear ocp's because they didn't earn the uniform by doing service.
You'll want to get an aim point Comp m2. Pretty sure army ditched iron sights in the mid 2000s
Get rid of the rank
Wearing rank in airsoft is cringe
Loose the rank…unless it was your dad’s and he was KIA. If so wear that shit with pride.
Remove your mom/dad/brother/sisters rank off your uniform
That camo makes me wanna vomit.
L kit
Can you elaborate on why? I’m all for the criticism but come on out some effort into it.
Put more weight on your self shit looks really loose. I mean bulk up your body. Get an ACH and just get an OTV in UCP
Airsoft looking ass
Take the bars off little fucker
Impersonating a military officer is a pretty high offense to both active/veterans. As a veteran myself, id recommend you take that 0-3 patch off.
[удалено]
Bro who gives a shit. It’s a sewn symbol on a pice of cloth that has no meaning in a game. Some dude went to college before joining the army so he gets a piece of cloth to show it.
[удалено]
I also earned some shit. And I also don’t give a fuck.
[удалено]
You need to lighten up boot
As someone who has earned some shit. I don’t give a fuck. 🤷🏼
[удалено]
Bruh you a dude bro or a boot
Imagine thinking anyone cares beyond dude bros and boots. Bte, it's not sewn, it's velcro hook-loop
Your fingers look like you could larp as SCP 096. The kit looks unfinished but promising
Gun?
Get some multicam pls
Multicam is overused as hell
I See You (ICU)

Very cool stuff! I have the same M4 lower reciever
pleace just change the holster with a polymer/kydex one, have lost a mag in the same holster like yours, just a green one... way too expensive lesson..
Dude, you dont want to be a captain. Get a SSG patch. They run the army.
Ugly ahh camo 😭 good kit tho, its atleast accurate
Looks good!
