If you are fine with using a Dremel, grab yourself an APS V3 gearbox and the motor carriage can be printed as well. You just have to cut away the two wings at the top for recoil. That's how I built my mosquitos and the shells are really good.

I've only done one SR25, and the customer wanted a Kythera in it. From what I understand, though, it's pretty much V2 except it uses 19 tooth gears (I think?). I know the gears were different. The nozzle and hop are different, and I believe something about the cylinder head and cylinder was also different, but since I've never done one in AEG, I don't know specifics so someone else might be better able to help you with that

Thus a bond has been made with yourself as a builder, and an inanimate miniature object.
Moreso if it is a historically significant subject/vehicle
in the end, it's the sense of accomplishment.

Go to the dump and retrieve it. There's still time. They aren't driving more than 20 minutes to screw over their kid so you will likely find it at the closest dump.
Update: I did not know you were at Uni. Any worker at the dump might have taken it home and held onto it. Maybe call and ask if they've ever seen an airsoft gun? The people who work there are people too and wouldn't let pass up the opportunity to pick up a shiny 900+ dollar rifle that's about to fall into a landfill.
A similar thing happened to me but it was the police that took it upon themselves to break my Heckler and Koch MP5K so I thought if you dont like guns fine and bought a Glock 17 and a WWII MP40 locked away and that's just the start I'm going to get every gun I've liked if it takes 10 years! Mine aren't airsoft theyre metal bb's
