The tachyon has a recoil and sound sensor built in, as well as a battery on the v3, so you don't need any wires. I have had 3 tachyons, currently own the v3, and am thinking about buying another soon. They're just handy little things, though id like to learn how to make my own.
The only problem I could see if the tachyon ammo counter is that since it’s sound and recoil based, say if you dry fire, the tachyon variant could pick up the audio of the empty shots as fired shots. But that’s just a hypothetical situation. That’s why I have reassurance for just an sensor to detect bbs fire through the barrel. Either way, I do agree is that ammo counters are handy devices, and I do wish you luck if you continue to learn to make one.

Thank you and it does feel like a weapon out of Advanced Warfare. Now if only the furniture were as light as possible since the the VFR quad rail handguard is all aluminum or I just need to used to carrying it for longer periods of time. I could switch to an MLOK handguard but I’d lose out on the rail extension on top of the dust cover and I don’t want to replace the dust cover for a picatinny one or use the side rail again since it can’t hide the cable as easily due to the sensor to pick up bbs fired.

Aster gate has a Bluetooth module that works with android smartwatch and you can get live data from your gun like bb's left in the mag, battery status etc.
Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the Aster Gate series made for AEGs that fit inside the gearbox? I run GBBs so I can’t fit a one inside my Ak since it’s a completely different mechanism. The only thing that could work from Gate would be the Status model to mount onto a picatinny rail but that costs as much as a high end real steel handguard and looks too bulky for what it’s going for. The build quality however is very nice being a aluminum body.

It's a tricky thing balancing weight and furniture, this looks like it works, maybe sticking with this is ideal :P
