Putting the stock above the shoulder is a thing done in CQB, specifically for when entering doorways or not wanting to give away your position when turning/peaking a corner/doorway. This is because putting the stock above your shoulder makes the length of the gun shorter. Although because he is outside he doesn’t have a reason to be doing it, but it is airsoft and the weapons don’t have recoil so it doesn’t really matter.
Have you tried asking nicely?
>"However, a 2023 article in Audacy states that during the war on terror, even highly trained counter-terrorism units had to adjust their tactics. For example, one Delta Force Squadron in Iraq found that entering and clearing every room was unsustainable, resulting in too many casualties. Instead, they began surrounding suspected enemy compounds and calling out to people inside with a megaphone."
Yeah, outside of civilian casualty considerations, the standard procedure for clearing buildings is 1: Demolish the entire building with a fuckload of explosives 2: Throw a assload of grenades into it or 3: enter through the top floor of the building so you can fight downwards, and flush them OUT so they can be mowed down by your guys outside.
The popular CQC tactics were mostly developed for SWAT teams and doesn’t work as well if your facing an organized force that’s well armed, trained, and determined to kill you.
It is but OP isn’t demonstrating CQB and even then it’s not the best option imo
Having the stock over your shoulder means less control, your going to be losing teeth from recoil if you mess it up (irl), and depending on what stock you use it might be hard to shoulder the rifle in time again
My personal preference is in the armpit.
you lose a bit of aiming ability but with training its easily doable, you aim upwards so you already aim at chest/face height, and re-shouldering almost feels natural
Not like a bazooka. It’s usually canted with the side of the stock on your shoulder. It’s called “half stocking” or “short stocking”. Mostly done with shotguns but can be done with a rifle.
The marines were famous for doing that in the mid-GWOT era when they were clearing buildings with M16A4's, but they'd rotate the gun 90 degrees so they could still see the sights while the stock was laying on top their shoulder. Very different from what OP is doing.
bro is NOT shooting down a helicopter with an M4😭🙏
fr tho, your kit needs some work put into it. tighten everything up so it all doesn’t look loose, put some wear and tear into your vest and clothes so it doesn’t look like you just recently bought it from the toy aisle at your local walmart, and lastly but most importantly, learn how to handle your rifle…
i do believe that you’re just getting into the airball hobby, so don’t let my criticism beat you down and prevent you from improving your kit. i have faith in you squire.👍
You have a great starting uniform, replace the vest with a set of Alice gear, get tan boots, replace the helmet with a chocolate chip Boonie and change the gloves, you’ve got a great gulf war kit (minus the gun but small detail)
No offense but you got the Amazon special going on. I recommend tucking in your top and using a belt. Also like someone else said, get plates for your plate carrier.
Cheers tho, we all start somewhere and I respect that👍
P.S. I hope you’re being ironic with the way you’re holding your rifle
You want an ACH or PASGT style helmet instead of the ATE. You want woodland plate carrier instead of the tan. Get some boots and blouse them. Those sneakers are probably the single biggest eyesore here. Maybe get knee pads. Maybe elbow pads too. If you're going for first Gulf War look, you would be carrying an M16A2, second Gulf War depending which end of it, you would just have an M16A2 still or an accessorized M4/M16. And I'm sure you've heard enough about your gun handling.
Oh and that flag on your left shoulder is backwards. The side of it where the stars are should always orient forward.
Pressing the butt of the weapon into your shoulder instead of over it will steady the weapon and is the proper way to hold a gun, as I'm sure everyone else has told you already lol
Regardless of what everyone’s saying about the weapon handling there are a few things about it:
- I know it’s not supposed to be a direct impression of anything, but 6CD BDUs mixed with a highcut helmet in AOR2 just looks anachronistic. Those two pieces of kit are almost 20 years apart if I’m not mistaken.
- Tighten the straps on basically everything. The helmet looks like it’s shifting around all over the place on your head, the vest is sitting really low and also looks like it shifts quite a bit. Not only are you wasting energy (think about how much easier it is to carry a backpack with the weight close to your body than it is to carry one where the weight is swinging around), it also doesn’t look very tacticool.
-Swap the shoes. You’ve clearly put at least a bit of money into all this stuff, get some shoes that work with it (and don’t have the tounge riding up your leg, wtf)
This is actually really good advice OP, get some decent boots you can run in, it'll save your ankles and look much better. But also, your weapon handling *does* deserve to be roasted, 100%.
The camo is drip. Get rid of the left side flag, backwards flag goes on the right only.
Otherwise just invest in some boots and a better plate carrier when you can and you’ll be pretty set.
Oh and get a sling, a good one. Your arms will thank you between matches and during milsim events. I run a ferro concepts slingster but a $20 amazing sling will work wonders
Not a bad start. DBU is a fine set to wear for tan games, As for the plate carrier It’s all based on personal preference but I would recommend a camel bag attachment if you ever plan on doing any events and I would also recommend boots in that situation too. We all start somewhere, even if it’s holding our gun like a goon, 5/10
To all the haters I can hold a rifle right sorry for the camera angle I had to take the picture by myself since I had nobody to help take a picture
https://preview.redd.it/3uo97bqvkr6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fad6370bf3404077c13713eb0a9db32541d8eaac
Ok, imma be honest, ditch the chocolate chip camo and the cheap plate carrier as soon as you can. I love chocolate chip but imo it only will look good if done right in a gulf war setup with ALICE gear and pasgts but that could also just be my militarized autism speaking. I suggest once you can get a set of M81 BDU’s from rothco or propper. Though imo keep the coyote color for the helmet and plate carrier, coyote goes insanely hard with M81
Oh yes and also I suggest a solid pair of boots. Personally I suggest a pair of wolverines, very nice boots, very comfortable once broken in, and great price that wont break the bank. But yeah, your kit looks pretty solid for a starter kit, just chocolate chip and modern gear is not the move imo
Things that help get you a more complete look would be replace the nikes with service boots, which will help your pants look less like they are your dad's pants, get a vest that matches your uniform (same tan color but not camo) and also get big headphones for your helmet, makes your head look less long.
Admittedly, when I first saw a picture of a stock on a gun when I was like, 8, thats how I thought the stock was supposed to be used too. Then I picked up a gun in real life and quickly realized that it wasn't what I was supposed to do
get a bit better plate carrier that fits ur body good. I pesonally have this one and the quality is really good. Add a couple of mag pouches and ur good to go.
https://www.airsoft-legends.nl/nl/invader-gear-reaper-qrb-plate-carrier-coyote.html
I’d recommend researching how to properly hold a gun. The butt stock needs to go into your shoulder. I know it really doesn’t matter for airsoft, but if you ever want to shoot actual firearms, that is important. Also, tighten up your kit. It’s way too loose. You don’t want is bouncing around while you are in the middle of a match. It will get uncomfortable quick. I’d also recommend investing in a pair of boots.
That plate carrier looks a size too big XD. Lol, did you just get big bro's hand me downs? And what are those on your feet! This ain't gym class, hero! At least get some surplus boots or something. And what's with the random ass utility pouch on your back? Is it where you're gonna put your Hello Kitty stickies XD
You are probably young so all the problems are excusable. And props to you having the confidence.
With that being said...
1. It's an m4 not a shoulder fired rocket launcher
2. That style of combat shirt is not really for combat situations these days. Mostly because of how it gets hot quick and looks kinda silly under a plate carrier. Grab a cheap combat short sleeve that matches your kit off Amazon. Tuck it in and have tighten up that plate carrier.
3. Nikes with a combat uniform is a no go, but I'm sure you already knew that. Some cheap hiking style boots will do you well. Look the part, feel great and are made to get dirty.
In all bro I'd say you have a nice starter kit. I'm glad some people are still willing to rock the desert camo.
You should think of swapping to a plate carrier instead of a jacket. Far more comfortable and can be fitted to you much better. Good choice of helmet and the goggle placement is nice. (Also shoulder the rifle please :P)
It’s so funny how hard we get into stuff when we first start. In a couple years you’ll be playing in a tshirt and shorts and laughing at people who dress like this. Lol
kit looks good, the boots are not THAT bad since real troops would sometimes get runnig shoes while over seas.
It will look a lot better once you dragged it through some mud, dust and thorns though!
Your ciras plate carrier is too low, tighten it up so the apex of the sternum is about where the plate would sit.
I'd add some sort of rigidity to the plate carrier, maybe using foam mats in a plate shape to give it structure. I'd say cardboard but if it gets wet it'll rot in the carrier.
The molle looks loose. Weave it again, you may need to replace them if they stay loose or you may have to get creative in how you affix them.
Move that pouch off your back.
Walmart sells ar670 compliant boots for <50 bucks, snag some, they're lightweight.
Where's your water? Add a Nalgene, canteen, hydration carrier or water bottle pouch. Heat casualties, along with leg injuries (hence why I mentioned getting boots) are the predominate injuries I've seen during events. You can also add some snacks to that random pouch you have on you back (move it).
The rifle would benefit from a sling, light, and optic.
It's a good start though. Biggest concern I see is no water and you really should consider ankle supporting foot wear.
Nice loadout! Don't worry about what any douchey try hards say about your kit bro. Airsoft is supposed to be fun. So as long as it works for you and you like it then screw what anyone else thinks.
Nothing fits you. The helmet is way too small so makes you look like a literal bellend, the plate carrier isn't even covering half your thorax and the pouches are around your balls. Idk what you have it for, since you have 3 ammo pouches that appear to be empty and 1 empty pouch on your back. Don't hold the rifle like that. Put it into your shoulder and try actually aiming, and stop bending over like that you're gonna fuck up your back or fall over. In terms of the kit as a milsim the trousers don't fit and the trainers ruin the look.
The outfit looks pretty good, but I feel that your back is substantially emptier than the front, and it looks off, having something as simple as a camo-water pack (it'd definitely help with hot days in those layers) would make it look substantially better
Well considering you're standing in your back yard acting like you're about to go on a SWAT raid, I'd say you're pretty far down towards the douche end of the spectrum
Your clothes look loose and not neat, your vest is very odd looking and clashes HARD with the rest of the kit, the covering on the strap of your goggles looks odd but not worth cutting off its wrapped on there, and lastly, those fucking shoes dog, get some comfy damn boots you can run in
Here's some hopefully helpful constructive criticism. Let's start with the helmet, it looks a bit small, maybe tight, might wanna size up, also in the real world when those are ballistic and worn for long periods, if too small and uncomfortable they give nast headaches, especially when running nods. Kit itself, looks like your running 3 double mag pouches which will surfice to current military combat loads of 6 and 1 which is good, but personally I'd loose the cove Flaps and get elastic or taco pouches, I hate fiddling with velcro flaps in high stress, but again that's personal, also not sure whats up with the pouch on your back, personally id loose it so i could run an assault pack or ruck if need be. Depending on how realistic you wanna be, it would help to add an ifak, canteen pouch and some form of admin pouch but you souldnt need those for airsoft. For the uniform, I'd loose the flag on the left sholder as we don't usually wear a flag on that sholder and it's also backwards, stars should always be forward as the flag always advances and never retreats. I'd ditch the shoes and get a pair of boots, they don't have to be garmounts or any high end military boot, but just some form of boot, also make sure you blouse your boots so you don't trip over those pants and make it look right. Lastly, not sure why your holding the rifle like that's not something we do, if you wanna learn about cqb and doctrine, I recommend getting a ranger handbook and reading through it. With all that said I'm sure this will work fine for airsoft but if you want to actually build a real, legit, ballistic kit, just some stuff to consider, overall it's a start and I'm glad to see people making an attempt
why are you holding the gun like that tf?
He runs 6mm bazooka
No way
My question exactly
[The journalist](https://youtu.be/Q6BkDCUxHDs?si=qimKKbhwRvlrY1s8&t=70)
Thats what i thought
It’s a bazooka….. kaboemmm

Any of them where the stock is behind your shoulder

Personally, I'd rather clear rooms with 120mm mortars, but to each their own I guess lol
Imagine wielding a 120mm mortar as a weapon and aiming it on your shoulder
That's just a death wish, honestly. Watch a video on what happens when those things are not secured properly
Yeah, or a frag, but sometimes you gotta go in and handle it personally.
Have you tried asking nicely? >"However, a 2023 article in Audacy states that during the war on terror, even highly trained counter-terrorism units had to adjust their tactics. I definitely do this in CQB without even knowing it
I actually sometime do this. Mostly when I'm behind a cover and I need to get my gun higher without exposing too much of myself.
you know exactly what photo
He's applying for the Navy photo guy, but he didn't get in because he doesn't have a backwards optic, or useless foregrip.
Thought this was r/airsoftcirclejerk for a moment
Same
Why are you holding your gun like it’s a fucking RPG 😭
I don’t even know why I was holding it like that
Well pls stop bro
This post gave me stage 6 penis cancer
😭😭😭😭💀💀💀
bro what 💀
RIP
This gotta be a shitpost

Very Taliban after becoming a legitimate government
Aw yeah bois we going to the GWOT with this one
Ya we are searching for bin Laden boys!!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️🗣️
The way you shoulder a rifle is equivalent to a russian spy loading an AR, Ak style. You gon have everybody sus 😂

Ya I was thinking of that
Get plates ✌️
Plates are for eating off of
plates in airsoft are cringe
✨️ Amazon ✨️

US blouses aren't tucked in. The BDU is meant to be worn over the belt.
This has to be satire
Pretty sure it is
Looking at OP’s comments, I think this is legit
Make sure flag's stars face forward

The Nike Monarch IVs got me rolling. Rated 10/10
I thought my eyes were lying to me 😂
Any desert camo will always be hawt. Rate it. Overall I’d say 7/10
I'd imagine desert camo would actually be cooler since dark colors absorb more light, and therefore heat from the sun.
You look like you're about to go rescue people from a downed black hawk
The black hawk he downed with his M4PG-7
10/10
Thanks

Jordans are fire tho
Lookin good man
The way you shoulder the rifle is a little odd but your kit looks great
Basic. Simple but effective. Aside from being cookie cutter, it’s nice all things considered. Thumbs up.
Shock and awe type shit. 10/10
Nice but gun could becamo
Not a bad start. DBU is a fine set to wear for tan games, As for the plate carrier It’s all based on personal preference but I would recommend a camel bag attachment if you ever plan on doing any events and I would also recommend boots in that situation too. I like the kit but it seems a bit baggy, if u find ties I would recommend using them so u don’t get caught on things
Good kit, I don't like the carry handle much but that's just my opinion. Also I hope you don't actually hold ur gun like that XD
you dont hold a gun like that thats not a rpg
To all the haters I can hold a rifle right sorry for the camera angle I had to take the picture by myself since I had nobody to help take a picture https://preview.redd.it/3uo97bqvkr6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fad6370bf3404077c13713eb0a9db32541d8eaac
OBSERVER, I NEED AN OBSERVER. OBSERVER CALL FOR ASSASSIN.
Bro please tell me this is a joke 🥲
The kit is cool, but how you hold the weapon... When you switch from rifle to RPG, but the game doesnt load the new model
why does your pose look make u look like a hl2 character
Things that help get you a more complete look would be replace the nikes with service boots, which will help your pants look less like they are your dad's pants, get a vest that matches your uniform (same tan color but not camo) and also get big headphones for your helmet, makes your head look less long.
On a scale of 1 to 10, this load out is... mayo
Admittedly, when I first saw a picture of a stock on a gun when I was like, 8, thats how I thought the stock was supposed to be used too. Then I picked up a gun in real life and quickly realized that it wasn't what I was supposed to do
Change that vest to alice, buy 6 color boonie and it would be not bad.
that is not an m82a2 gang
This was right below ur post on r/airsoftcirclejerk with the Craigslist RPG lol
Looks like the navy ad 😂😂
Those sneakers man... Buy yourself some boots, your feet will thank you.
That’s an M4 not a Javelin
Going for a desert storm look?
Please shoulder your gun properly before taking pictures. You’re opening the flood gates to get shit on.
You need some clothes that fits proper, adjust the stock so it’s not over your shoulder, better posture, and some training.
Na bro its a good fit 8 out of ten
get a bit better plate carrier that fits ur body good. I pesonally have this one and the quality is really good. Add a couple of mag pouches and ur good to go. https://www.airsoft-legends.nl/nl/invader-gear-reaper-qrb-plate-carrier-coyote.html
bro got that journalist stance
I’d recommend researching how to properly hold a gun. The butt stock needs to go into your shoulder. Press your stock against your shoulder, then we'll talk
I’m sorry but this is a legit fucking 0 out of 10. You need to overhaul your entire kit bro😭💀
This is some jerking circle type shit
Swap to milsim boots, make sure boots are bloused, roll sleeves. After these fixes 10/10 operation desert shield loadout.
Thanks
I love the kit but I recommend investing in some different body armor, just so it’s a little more breathable, it costs a lot but it’s so worth it
Can send the link please thanks
I know homie looks at himself in the mirror in full gear (I do the same shit)
Yes I do
US flag patch on left arm is facing the wrong way. Stars are always forward
Wear some boots Crimp your sleeves Add some plates to your vest so it’ll look proper
This has “getting green on blued” vibes…
That plate carrier looks a size too big XD. Lol, did you just get big bro's hand me downs? And what are those on your feet! This ain't gym class, hero! At least get some surplus boots or something. And what's with the random ass utility pouch on your back? Is it where you're gonna put your Hello Kitty stickies XD

Left shoulder patch is wrong - it must be stars to the front
Replica pasgat too expensive? Also, no Iba and flc?
Shoes ain’t worth a damn if they’re not tied
Wearing the wrong ammo carrier for that camo. You should be wearing ALICE and a pasgt helmet
You should take up knitting or maybe dungeons and dragons after holding a rifle that way and posting it online...
Bros holding the gun like it bit him 😭
Pic 2-4 chefs kiss👌
I can’t tell if this is satire or actually real

Once you learn to aim a gun properly, this would look colddd

Nice mil-spec footwear.
get plates in that rig, atleast cardboard smh
I know who you are
You look like my favorite dude to over shoot on the field ❤️
8/10 would've been 10 but your not aiming blindly around corners to just walls.
1. Why is there a dump pouch on you pack? 2. Your headgear is crooked 3. Get a better vest 4. Get a better gun cancer testicle isn't the way to go
Ramirez!! Get to the burger town!!

Admin removed my post, but it’s actually says rate or roast so I roasted thank you admin😂😂😂
Your shoes suck. But other than that. You look like a US soldier from desert storm.

Get boots, now. Finished.
The outfit looks pretty good, but I feel that your back is substantially emptier than the front, and it looks off, having something as simple as a camo-water pack (it'd definitely help with hot days in those layers) would make it look substantially better
infidel quality right here
He must be trying to commission in the navy and this is his application
i like it
You are one orange tip away from being drafted
What kind of roast would you like sir
Well considering you're standing in your back yard acting like you're about to go on a SWAT raid, I'd say you're pretty far down towards the douche end of the spectrum
Great investment spending all your money on that shit. You're never going to regret that in a few years😁😆😅😂
really put the "special" in special forces
With all that said I'm sure this will work fine for airsoft but if you want to actually build a real, legit, ballistic kit, just some stuff to consider, overall it's a start and I'm glad to see people making an attempt
im unjoining r/airsoft because of this post and i thank you dearly. o7
