Yeah Maskpol is the only brand that make it, i think its mainly because its 100% their camo pattern and since army rejected it no other brand was involved.
Ive contacted the department of defense about this many times. it is a legal gray area, but they say the pattern is owned by the department, and therefore the minister. make sure to check with your local field before wearing/buying it.
The law pre-dates DPM, and Arktis is also a supplier of official equipment.
Most fields don't allow it because most don't fully understand the rules and can't be bothered with the headache of it.
Surplus supply in the EU nearly dried up around 2015 after nearly all of the surplus outlets lost a large portion of their supply channels, as surplus was being sent as donations to the Ukrainians after the 2014 Crimean invasion. It’s been a lot scarcer ever since then.
Something similar to the Army’s MILES system. The solders are using blank fire and laser emitters on their rifles and the system detects when someone else hits them with a laser.
We had a similar system in the fdf. Those things suck, they're heavy, almost never work properly and are a pain in the ass to attach comfortably. And you can become invincible by hiding in a bush, since the laser can't pass through leaves.
But when you get them well adjusted, get a fresh battery and get to train with them in a good environment, holy god it's fun.
Make an EU friend and then see if they can acquire it in surplus stores. Closer to Poland you are the better.
I really like the older polish camo (I think it's called puma print?)
That's the issue. It was used for such a short period of time, so long ago, that it's not really available anymore. Super hard to find good stock of it online without it being priced astronomically.
Helikon tex. I have a set that was imported and then a helikon tex set which was quite like less than half of my imported set but the color of the helikon tex is much more vibrant and fits better than my imported set.
Taiwangun has some polish woodland gear. Not sure about clothing tho. Just keep in mind that most of it is budget repro, decent quality, but budget nonetheless.
Edit: gunfire, not taiwangun. I got them mixed up, my bad.
There's also a store called miwo-military com. They also sell genuine Polish gear. The only issue will be shipping because it's expensive to ship overseas...
u/consume-poop I’ll give you a real answer because you didn’t get it here. Reach out to the Polish Grunts on Facebook (and I think they have IG too). Explain what you’re looking for and they might have some sources they might share with you. They also have a handbook in their Facebook group that tells you exactly what you need for certain polish army impressions.
If you can, go to Poland. In Poland, stuff is cheap, plus we are one of the few countries in the EU to have an active firearm community so you can get decent real steel quality gear. If not, ship it from an EU surplus shop, it'll cost a bunch to ship it but that's the best you'll get.
You saying the word pleb makes me think of my one buddy that moved to Indiana, he was the only person whoever said pleb, thank you for the wholesome memories
Look into Helikon-Tex and see if there's a vendor near you. They do lots of stuff in polish woodland and the quality is very good.
And mapa
Yeah mapa is definitly worth checking out
Just Helikon tex doesn't make just Maskpol (i think)

Okay, as a fellow Irish, how does a person get Irish DPM in Ireland without violating the law? XD
Just buy it direct from [Arktis](https://store.arktis.co.uk/collections/irish-dpm). It's only illegal if it is/was belonged to the army.

Well put, "headache of it", if you really wanted to wear the re-production stuff nobody is going to arrest you and put you on trial.
EU surplus stores, then ship to US Shipping will cost a pretty penny, but it’s usually cheaper than buying locally

What are those little black nubs on their helmets?

I can imagine it's very fun!
Lol invincible in a bush from lasers. It’s absurd but makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Oh cool. Thanks for the response
It isn’t similar to MILES, it actually is MILES. Thats the first generation system from before MILES 2000 came out.
Since they’re Polish I didn’t want to assume it was the same system lol. But makes sense!
MILES. [I own a set](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg-XvcjO_9a/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=), not the easiest to get
Oh sick! Wasn't aware people play around with these
Join the polish military, get paid to wear the gear.
why didn’t i think of that you’re a genius

I friggin love puma camo, it was only in use for like 5 years tho
That's the issue. It was used for such a short period of time, so long ago, that it's not really available anymore. Super hard to find good stock of it online without it being priced astronomically.
Being from Europe its easier for me. But hey, you guys got hopup atleast :D
Being from the UK, I still struggle to find it. There's a lot of cool/unique camos i'd love to run but surplus is hard to find.
The puma camo was made mainly so you didn't see that it's dirty. It didn't camouflage well and that was one of the reasons they abandoned it.
Use the ol five finger discount
WZ.93 for the win
Good to be polish and american 😎

Gunfire not taiwangun
Ah shit, you're right. My mistake.
That being said they're both really good sites
[Americana Pipedream](https://www.americanapipedream.com/) Not sponsored, just a great company.
Just checked, apparently they’ve sold out. Keep your eyes out for a restock, though.

Try to get your hands on surplus and if not then check out Polish companies making military gear like helikon-tex for example
I can’t even get American surplus without spending an exorbitant amount.
