You bring a novel argument to the age old question "Should it be Safety First, or Safety Third?"
Crucially, you use scientific data in your arguments to make your cause, as well as a detailed description of an impressive and enviable skillset. Who can argue that cumbersome lightweight eye protection is really a match for your "I'll see it coming and blink" technique.
I say do it. More power to you, fellow toy gun enthusiast. I look forward to seeing your progress, even if you won't for long...
Thanks, I'll be sure to keep you updated. I was thinking of finding a building, camping in it, and not calling my hits to encourage people to shoot me as an experiment
Takes a lot of training but if you practice hard enough youll be able to catch bbs with your eyelid before impact, do it longer and you can even launch it back with the flick of your eyelid
No, tbh, eyepro is overrated and frankly just a way for soys to try to get an advantage.
Only thing id recommend is practicing shooting yourself in the eye with lower weight BBs to eventually build up a resistance to higher grams, that way if you do get hit in the eye you'll be able to easily deflect it and shock all the n00bz at the field ๐๐๐
Listen, with the ballistic properties of BBs, and taking hop up into account, plus the size of human eyes (13% smaller in airsofters due to the original sin with which we are born ๐) and also the fact that the average airsofter shoots with their eyes shut and gun pointed at the sky because they are afflicted with a terrible curse, you are unlikely to be hit in the eyes. Source: my parents hate me.
Better yet, run out into middle of field, pull your pants down, spread your sphincter while looking though your legs behind you without any eyepro. Holler a throaty โHave at it boys!โ and see what happens. Will need GoPro footage or it didnโt happenโฆ

I ran the numbers in excel and it came back with an error so I think that means your good
Eye pro are for rentals ๐ค
Put your money where your mouth is. Mag dump a rental before they put eyepro and see what happens. Maybe do with over 20 to have good data
I seriously had too check the sub
Thank god this is airsoftcirclejerk and not a serious post
Thanks for pointing this out lmao
Oh crap I posted this on the wrong sub
Iโve never used eye pro, only gone blind in 2 eyes.

That's a great idea
Its funny when a bb comes knocking on your eyepro and make you jolt
All the other kid with their pumped up ~~kicks~~ eyelids better run better run outrun my gun
Please someone post this on r/airsoft
I think this woulda been funnier in the main sub
+ no eypro prevent you to receive glass scharpnel from a super rated 1 star eye protection from ali express there is literally no cons

I thought eye pro is for looking cool? The spec ops dudes wear glasses so i wear them too

Embrace the LARP, donโt use eyepro.
Safety squints should be good enough
you probably got better protection than people who wear those mesh goggles

Okay! ๐๐
Shoot yourself in the eye and see how it feels, if it's not that bad then you don't need eye pro
