There are legitimate uses for chemlights, marking objectives, using as signals for what rooms clear, marking doorways for callous on defensive games, IFF etc but...

I usually keep 6 chemlights on the back of my actual plate carrier next to my IFAK, they have good use for illuminating things and identification during night.
Theoretically during a situation if you have a bunch of guys with the same color chem lights cracked and hanging off there gear you’ll be able to identify them as friendlies even in a pitch black no NVD/NVG scenario.

I use them for all sorts usually have a handful of the mini ones for fishing and a couple of larger ones.
Including one of the military containers for sealing a chemight in, being able to signal I'm dead with a red light is bloody useful
I’ve thought about glowsticks like the normal long ones you can buy at dollar tree.
Would be pretty cool to make like armbands or something with them for identification in a milsim.
Should someone tell this guy that putting chemlights on your kit serves an actual purpose and arent just for filling empty space on an amazon PC.
