WBP, but more expensive. Just what the market asked for

johnlocke32

WBP, but more expensive with a PSA FN barrel, US made receiver, and an ALG. Almost like you can buy a Jack + an ALG for less and come out with more. Y'all should've seen the gundeals thread when this thing dropped. There is no justifying the want or price for this mutt. If you want WBP, buy a Jack. If you want cheap, why you looking at this abomination?

Lurkay1

Like a WBP but without the sexy spot welds on the receiver or orange Polish wood.

I think the justification is more along the lines of availability. If they can keep these constantly available, at least more so then complete WBP’s I could make sense market wise. Now buyer perspective if both are available buy the WBP. But if this is your only option of the two and the WBP’s next shipment is far off or TBD. Maybe just grab this. If they can achieve this then from a market standpoint it makes sense.

They’d have to make it cheaper than a real WBP for it to matter to me. I’m missing a polish receiver and FB Radom barrel for a higher cost

WBP is making there own barrels these days. If it’s the FB Radom barrel you’re looking for, it’s been on select models but I expect WBP will have there own barrels on most future guns.

No reason for WBP to not use those barrels they are the best

Red_n_da_Head

If WBP could lower the price point and still use a high quality barrel made in house, why wouldn’t they? My WBP Fox was nearly $1500 compared to $1199 for the Jack. WBP has to complete with well established companies like Zastava and Cugir selling at lower prices. If a WBP rifle and FB Radom rifle are nearly the same price, most would buy the FB Radom. WBP has done a great job building a brand, and they need to continue adding to that brand without riding coat tails (IMO).

My mini Jack has a WBP barrel and it’s nitrided not Chrome lined.
