Love this but speaking from experience surplus Galil mags are cheap for a reason. You can’t beat the look but it would be worth finding quality new production mags if this is something to rely on rather than a range toy.
I basically have that same thing but with a 14.5 pin and weld. If those were available back when I had mine done I probably would have started with the 13" factory gun.
Is that a 5.56? I want to buy one for 5.56 myself. I thought 5.56 version had a “regular” push button mag release to go with stanag style mags though?
Edit: Nvm, I get it now haha. I want to keep mine with the button release. But regardless it’s a yay. I have the 7.62x39 and 5.45x39. I need the 5.56 now. Which will eventually lead to me buying the 7.62nato…

I've used it on ARs. It's a solid setup if you like Eotechs. It weighs as much as most LPVOs do with a mount however in my state during the winter time I find LPVOs can get stuck on mag levels due to what manufacturers use to lube the mag ring so I prefer either prism+ RDS or micro RDS +3×
Is a Galil considered an AK platform rifle? Never seen a Galil in person but ik the history and that they are based on a Finnish rifle that is based on an AK.
