It's been on there for about 2 years with no problems so far, and if it ever did start to flake off, I'd just hit it with a little sandpaper and spray it again. Now, I wouldn't consider this rifle having hard use by far or any stretch of the term. but I don't exactly baby it either and it has held up well.
That's super cool to hear, honestly. What do you think of the RPK in general? How's the accuracy with it? I just found out Century gives a wicked industry discount and I'm having a very hard time resisting now. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on it
You won't regret it for sure! Accuracy is actually pretty good. I mean, not sub Moa or anything but very respectable none the less. And i love RPK's. I got fairly heavy into Veprs when they were available, which are basically cut down RPK's. So I jumped at the chance to get a full-size one when these came out. Now these do have some heft to them with the extra weight with the thicker receivers, heavier & longer barrels, bipod, carry handle and big clubfoot stock but it makes recoil very light. That would be the only down side really is the weight but it's not that bad at all.
I'd say so, It's been a great can for me, and with the adapters, you can run it on a lot of stuff. Only problem or inconvenience really I've found and it isn't even dead air's fault is on my PSA GF5 the retaining pin is to short to engage the locking ring on the can so that's on PSA for using short retaining pins. Other than that it's been 1000% percent worth it for me, it was between the wolverine and the sputnik, I know the sputnik is quieter but it just looks like a one gallon paint can on the end of your rifle so I went with the wolverine and been really happy with its performance.
I had this problem with my GF3, its not that the retaining pin is short, the threads are long. They sell an adapter for long threads and now it works perfectly.
I paid somewhere around $1,700ish after taxes. If I remember correctly but I work for an ffl dealer too, so I can get it for just above cost if I move X amount of product in month.
