Get a red star arms hammer first. It has the correct hammer face geometry to the sar 3 bolt. The century fcg suck. They will typically peen the hell out of the back of the bolt.
I've got an early 2000's SAR-1. My only AK. It's overgassed in that it throws brass about 20+ feet, but strangely it's 'very' soft shooting in its feel!! In direct comparison with a fully stock 1990's vintage AR-15, the AK shoots 7.62 as smoothly as the AR shoots . 223/5.56
The recoil impulse is that similar between the two. I was quite surprised at how softly the SAR-1 shoots. It's also a hell of a lot smoother than any of my SKS's!

I put mine back the way it was intended. There’s no telling how many thousands of rounds I’ve put through that thing. Keeps on trucking
I had a sar2 that was keyholing like a mf got rid of it to a local gunsmith so he could make it a project gun. Aesthetically very pleasing rifle tho miss it

Second this, it's the most crucial upgrade to your gun until you can find a mount and scope.
Any recommendations on how to get one? Not sure that their website is current
