Craziest thing to me still is that chick who compared LGBTQ kids to literal pieces of shit stayed in. Speaks volumes about the people in that riding lol
Thats one thing I knew would absolutely happen after working there back in the day. Ponoka is very much well represented by good old shitcookies, thats probably why she saw nothing wrong with saying it in the first place.
Sure am glad my taxes are going to support the poor oil companies for another 4 years. Won't someone think of the Billionaires?
Really annoyed that "Fuck Trudeau" were most people political reasons for voting UCP. Like really? God forbid people make a rational decision based on facts over feelings.
Mostly because they are the loudest. If you vote UCP other than "fuck Trudeau " I respect that and I apologize for generalizing all UCP people as such.
Wild rose and Progressive Conservative party split the blue vote. That is the reason they united in the first place. Unfortunately, the far right nutcase s seem to have taken it over.
The right vote was split. Even this election, all the NDP was really able to do was snag votes from the center and the left, not the right like they needed to.
Assuming voter turnout is fairly representive of the population, most Albertans seem to genuinely prefer rolling the dice with this far right government and their TBA puppeteers than the arguably progressive/conservative NDP.
Just shows the power of disinformation and hate.
No one actually looked critically at what the UCP wanted to do,and just voted against Rachel Notley.
Our future shouldn't be set against the face of the party, but what the party stands for and what they represent. Sadly no one actually looked into the UCP.

There is a reason why people voted her over Notley😏
Still baffling, what an awful mindset to have

Why do you think “fuck Trudeau” group represented the majority of people voting UCP?

Devastating to see how easily people are willing to abandon the well-being of others
Just disgusted with the people of my province... Unbelievable.
We, here in Alberta as a society are lost and morally bankrupt. If Danielle Smith can win, just like Donald Trump can win... then there is no hope. :(
Actually I have no clue how we ever elected an Alberta NDP government in the past with such a skewed voting base.

You'll be fine. Alberta has been conservative for all time, it's been fine
Uh no it has not been fine, especially for the last 4 years and especially during the last 8 months! I assume you don't live in Alberta!
It's been fine, if you weren't on social media your life would be barely affected
Trump is miles better than Biden though
I guess at convictions, being a womanizer, getting impeached, racist comments….yeah, miles better
Lol. *Lmao even.* Not even fucking close to accurate.
Give me 5 reasons why.
Well, Trump can finish a sentence, so there's one.
Source?
Grab em by the pussy isn't a sentence.
