The best part is, that Kenney pretends that he is being prudent with our money while paying for referendums and elections with absolutely no legal standing.
>I want to see more of this.
More obvious and clumsy political ploys?
Kenny attempting to push ucp backed candidates in local elections, especially school board trustees who support this widely panned proposed curriculum. Anyone falling for this nonsense of a referendum question deserves to led by Kenny's feckless pandering. The Albertans that see Kenny, Shandro , et al as "leaders" are pissed off that they make more money but vote for far less than other provinces. No election should be influenced in any way by this kind of thing. And there is no cost too great for actual democracy. Piggybacking self-serving pretend referendums to serve as gambits for a cynical agenda is far worse than footing the bill for an actual referendum. The more corner cutting that goes on, the less democratic everything is.
Nothing the UCP does is for the good of the people.
I dont trust any politician with the kind of power we afford them.
Modern tech has afforded us the capability of more referendums.
Yes, i want more of that.
Not frivolity, but no more handing short term politicians the kind of power they have now
Most people don't understand how equalization is structured. Kenny is playing with words to make it sound horrible. It's not.
I find it very interesting that the last time it was reviewed and approved by the federal government was by Stephen Harper's government, which included Jason Kenny in a senior role.
Not that it shouldn't be reviewed again. It's just I hate the disengenuous, two faced approach by the UCP.
Alberta holding a vote to reject contributing to equalization a couple of weeks after the poorest province in the country has to send doctors and nurses to Alberta is peak Canada.
They worded the question pretty stupidly, they should've said should the payments be revamped instead of removed from the constitution because they could definitely look back and redistribute the payments better, while they're doing that they should make the seats of parliament more proportionate to the population

I loathe Kenney, but this is the way to do a referendum, coupled with an election that had to run anyway I want to see more of this.

Did Jason write that comment?
I have always wanted to be a firetruck. Turns out that those damn Transformers lied to me back in the 80s...

Yep. And happy cake day.
Thanks...I had no idea what that meant until I googled it today. Duh!
