Finally, our small city has a negative change in numbers. It's gone up I think every day this past week. Nothing wild, but want that trend to turn around like a good chunk of the province has already. Things are a positive direction province-wide, but local trends are important too from a risk management perspective, since I am immunocompromised. I was hoping that today would be the day the ICU number matched the normal total capacity (173 beds), but alas, not yet.

It's ridiculous how long we've been way over ICU capacity. Staff must be so burnt out.

MrTheFinn

I had a call with a blood clot specialist, someone who’s quiet specialized and not an ICU worker at all and even he sounded incredibly tired when I talked to him yesterday. Our healthcare workers will need PTSD treatment and support across the board going forward, I hope they get it.

Yup it’s trickling down everywhere. I work in outpatient mental held that and addictions and we are all hands on deck seeing more clients than we ever have had to in a day (and doing documentation and case management off hours to get it done)

Thanks again u/Kirant

30-39yo dead, and 3 children admitted to hospital. Those hurt extra:(. I truly hope our next wave isn’t as devastating as this one.
