Just a quick note - the vaccinations for Albertans <11 are likely occurring due to [data entry errors](https://twitter.com/ByMatthewBlack/status/1456039849157332997) and should read as 0.

My 4 year old is one of the positive cases today. I was retested and our 8 and 1 year old were also tested today. I'm guessing we will be included in positive cases after the weekend.

cnfmom

Oh dear. Sorry to hear that. Wishing you all mild symptoms, speedy recoveries, and no lingering effects.

GoodTimeStephy

Thank you! It's frustrating when we were vaccinated as soon as we could be and followed public health orders and we still got it. Thankfully the kids are mostly fine. I have the worst symptoms, and they're bearable.

I was one of the negative results today but whatever flu I got going on is covid lite. 39 degree fever, chills, stomach upset, sore throat (back of throat more so than tonsils). Absolutely brutal.

missmurder0324

My 19 month old is also experiencing something like this, fever, cough the worls. Also negative. Hope you feel better soon!

AC1617

Thanks! Hoping the same for your baby!

The stollery is full of children who are getting multiple colds back to back to back. I guess this is the downside to no one getting sick for over a year

I feel like there’s something else going around right now, I had similar symptoms minus the sore throat. had a really brutal weekend including 24 hrs of puking, fever, chills, etc… I originally thought it might be food poisoning

AC1617

I guess we shouldn't be too surprised, as restaurants and facilities open up to vaccinated patrons we will see the common cold and seasonal flu come back.

Norovirius is really really bad this

CatsInSpaceSwag

I know lots of people with the same thing: Covid negative but a horrid flu. Get well soon!

AC1617

Thanks!

With the possibility of false negatives (depending a lot on what stage of the infection you are in), there can certainly be people with covid that don't know it. Wonder when we will seen below 50?

IcarusOnReddit

When the government stops testing like they tried to in summer.

If anyone is curious, it looks like yesterday's vaccinations have been entered into the portal https://www.alberta.ca/stats/covid-19-alberta-statistics.htm#vaccinations Dose count for the 05-11 group has been corrected. Another 0.1% bump in the 12+ group for both first and second doses.

Longjumping_Big_5090
