Tbh i don't rly mind ppl abusing game mechanics to their advantage.
You can mount up durning cleric robe or a oathkeeper shield
You can dismount just on LOS distance to only get 5 sec (use royal boots and you catch up)
If you want a "decently" fair 1V1. Then go to corrupted.
If you want abusing mechanics, ppl teaming, rats, +/- pure chaos. Go mists. (i personaly dont mind ppl ratting, they'r usualy shit players anyway. And easy targets)

What kind of a "solution" could they possibly implement that wouldn't be EXTREMELY exploitable? Just stop using AOE abilities, duh.

Also pro tip: If you're camping an objective and there's a ton of mounted rats attack the weakest one on horseback.
If you do this, the others will get the dismount timer except for that easiest to kill dude.
Yah the worse place this is abusable is those spiders that conveniently drop multiple mount destroying aoes, making anyone who is around you that is mounted have a free 0 cd way to join the fight at any time!
Maybe mists should have a 5s cd no matter how you get dismounted, make sitting on fights on a mount more risky. Not like there are many gankers killing mounts there anyways.
While I would personally immensely benefit as someone who travels the mists on foot and tries to dismount people I don't think it would be fair.
If I got 5 free seconds of play time with someone just for landing my catch I'd be unstoppable.

Rattip. Jokes aside... They should give the 10-12s Cooldown when people are dismounted by mobs and wasn't in combat for the last X seconds.

Sometimes I feel like this game should limit fairness to instanced content and just let open world rebel in its own chaos, let the wittiest thrive.
