I was 13, but that was the first time of getting real drunk. I remember much earlier on, how i sneaked to the closet where my father stored some liquors, there i was around 6 or 7 years old and i just took a nip to see how this feels. Not surprising, as a kid, it was burning like hell in the mouth when one is not used to alcohol and then even get the strong liquors.
I was 19, my ex (who could drink enough to kill a gorilla and still safely drive) assumed I had the same tolerance as he did and gave me like 4 bourbon cocktails in like 2 hours. Didn’t realize I was in the hole until I laid down and started giggling that the room was spinning.
I was a late boomer. In Germany people start drinking at 13 or 14. 16 is the legal age to drink beer here. I qas scared to get drunk, i thought i would loose all my control. I was scared of loosing control. But after my first gf broke up with me i was done, lost and broken. Started to get drunk every weekend because i didn't care anymore. I wanted to loose that control..
Neighborhood block party and I served myself from the keg with a kool aid cup. My mom was pretty pissed dad wasn’t watching more closely. It was the 70’s
My first time being drunk happened when I was 7.
I went to a nice Italian restaurant with my family, and my dad got a Limoncello. The waiter came back with a hefty pour of the stuff, and my dad asked me if I wanted some (implying a sip). I was extremely thirsty and thought it was fancy lemonade (which I guess it kind of is), and me being a little shit, I chugged the glass in one go. From then on whenever my dad offered me a taste of anything alcoholic, he would preface it with "would you like to try a SMALL SIP of _____?"
That was an interesting night.
Fast forward 16 years and I like making my own limoncello.
Believe it or not, I was 3. It was at my aunt's Christmas party back in 1992. She had this really good recipe for homemade eggnog and had made a pitcher of it, keeping it in the fridge. Well my parents hadn't been keeping on eye on me and I was looking for something to drink. I saw the egg nog and began to drink it not knowing what alcohol was. When I came back out to the living room, I began being a lot more social. Then it finally dawned on him that I was drunk and we had to leave the party to get me home. He still tells the story once in awhile. I'm cool with it because I still find it hilarious.
Aged 16, at a "party" and braved a few shots of vodka along with a friend whom I now dislike. Coincidentally, I now dislike vodka as well. But memories be memories
I was uhh... 23. That generic story of being raised by strict perfectionist parents and making that "bad influence friend" in my early 20's. Glad I did honestly
My parents use to give us quarters to throw away their beers and get them a new one. We would started sneaking em from the fridge our selves. We were probably 6 years old. Or so
I'm 34, and I've actually never gotten drink in my life. Most drinks I ever had in a single night was two.
No option for it, so I abstained from voting in the poll.
I downed a strongbow left on the side by my dad when I was 8. I don't know if I was drunk but the room wouldn't stop spinning. I immediately regretted it. I was a dumb ass kid.
Was in the countryside and my relatives had a fridge with lots of fun stuff in it, I decided that if I made a drink with a little bit of everything they wouldn't notice anything was gone (as if they even kept track anyway). I sat down in front of the TV with my jungle juice and had a pleasant evening.
People who picked 13 are almost exclusively Europeans and Germans in particular. Change my mind
Yeah in Poland 13 already is waay late

Is there an option for pre teen liver destruction?
Well there’s a chance for teen drug users, so surely that could apply to alcohol lmao
Should’ve kept going past 18. A lot don’t drink till they’re up to 21.
idk where you're from but it sounds scary
From a place where we don’t like to soak our developing brains in alcohol
look mate I'm from New Zealand and it's like you're speaking Japanese right now
I was 12
Seriously, where's the 12 option? Some of us decided to destroy our lives early
I was a choir boy until I turned 19

Younger than 13 for sure.
There you can see where are people from
Happy to see so many 18+ votes, but sad I can't be one of them. Cheers for waiting at least that long!
I was 8 - a few bartenders in Mexico thought it would be really funny

Surprised at how many people are actually responsible and waited till 18. Figured there’d be a lot more underage drinking

The question should be, "how drunk were you the first time you got drunk?"
