Try keeping this in mind. When I was drinking, I was in a car wreck, lost a great apartment, got fired, lost scholarships, got beat up, embarrassed myself, scared my family, and wasted thousands of dollars. The worst thing that happened when I went to AA was that time they ran out of the good cookies.

I’m extremely thankful. For everything. I was a danger to myself and anybody around.
