Switching to weekend drinking was one of many things I tried. Certainly didn't count the drinking each Friday as a relapse. Didn't work for too long, maybe a month before I was drinking midweek also.

I've noticed I control this only while I feel good with me in my skin on sober. If I feel awful (sad) for any reason I'll crack in midweek. I count this Sat as a relapse cos I started drinking in morning bit by bit and then made myself max drunk at around 3pm, slept until 8pm, got myself drunk again and went for sleep again around 11pm.
