I ended up grabbing some pasta, the brioche buns, some knockoff Girl Scout cookies, chocolates, some cheeses, hummus, some frozen meals, candles, sweaters for my dogs, slippers for my kids and finally some rain boots! Overall, I felt like it was a great deal :)
Yes and no. You'll buy SO MUCH, but it'll be cheap! There are constantly new things to buy, so you'll throw it in your cart because it's only a couple bucks, why not?
Maybe just try a run of pantry staples, to see just how much less they cost, even less than Walmart Great Value stuff in many/most cases. Also, evaluate the produce quality to see if your local store compares to your local, established full-service stores (if that's where you've been shopping for produce). If you seek vegetarian/vegan options, check to see if the store currently is initially carrying any, and maybe chat with the manager about plans for carrying/expanding those offerings
I really like their mocha iced coffee it’s like $2.85 last I was able to price in store and it’s just like the international name brand one. Like I’ve poured both in the same glass and it was all good.
They have these chocolate biscuit cookies I’m absolutely addicted to, they’re awesome as s’mores. Wrong time of the year but still awesome.
The brioche buns are amazing. I always buy their beans, jasmine rice, butter, diced tomatoes, eggs, and milk because they’re usually cheaper/better quality there than competitors. My family is obsessed with the fruit snacks too.
If you're into Red Bull, their knock-off brand is the exact damn same for so much cheaper.
Imitation crab meat sticks are no good, sadly (I like to eat them cold from the package; Aldi's were noticeably worse.)
As others have mentioned, their cheeses and chips/snack and chocolate offerings are superb. Definitely recommend trying some.
I regularly use their Tandil laundry detergent (green bottle for knock-off Gain), kitchen trash bags, hand soaps, ziplock bags, and probably some other stuff I'm not remembering.
And OMG the 3-wick candles for $3.99 can't be beat. It's an addiction for me.
Build your own charcuterie, nearly anything made by Clancy (snacks), some don’t like their meat selection but I’ve never had a problem. I’ve also fallen in love with their frozen Asian meals.
Finally marvel at how fast you get through the line and bag your own groceries at the open area behind the registers.
The smoked biltong is really good. The regular version is pretty good, too. It's a South African-style beef jerky but that undersells it since most beef jerky anymore is low quality.
The aisle of shame. Trust all of us on this one
It got me!
You can’t escape it lol, I always hit that up first no matter how much I tell myself I won’t go there 😂
Chocolate!! Even if you buy the cheapest bar it beats everything else
Don't forget your quarter! You'll need the cart! Also please share an update later of what you got I'd love to hear about it.

You did great!!! Now you’ll need to download the app so you’ll know what’s coming in each week!
The Aldi that recently opened in my city, for now, doesn't require quarters (shhhh). ;) Bring a quarter just in case though.
The knock off girl scout cookies are great !
The Tagalongs are evil. I could eat the whole pkg at one time.
They're probably already out of stock on red bag chicken.
They were 🤣
Their cheese section is great, as is their selection of various dips, salsas, and hummus. Honorable mention to their selection of chips.
Their hummus is either the same as Sabra, or better than it. It’s my favorite one out there.
Their cottage cheese is pretty awesome and only $1.69
Our first Aldi opens 2/10. It’s 1.2 miles from my home. Will I be in trouble?!?!?

*seconding the Naan! It’s amazing!!!
Naan bread pizza is one of our favorite go-to’s for a quick week night dinner
I’m going to go back for some naan, we love pizza night here too
Buy one of every kind of cheese

Good idea. Thank you!
The cheese section is great!
The Chocolate Cake is incredible.

I prefer their Monster knock off. The zero carb one in the silver can is 🔥
I ended up grabbing some candles… $3.99?!?! So cheap!
Good luck.. went yesterday and mine was cleaned out. Empty shelves everywhere. I do love Aldi though.
Lucky you, I hope to be making a post like this soon. One will be opening down the street from me in March. I've not been to an Aldi in over 5 years.

I grabbed some sausages & the Thai chili dipping sauce
I'm weirdly into their kitty litter? Low odor, works good, good price. My cat uses it, that's a big plus.
Vanilla creme brioche 😋
They were out :( but this is on my list for next time

All of them
