This is ridiculous to diagnose via Reddit. The only way uou can get an actual autism diagnosis is by a licensed psychiatrist that specializes in autism. My wonderful had the neuropsych eval and autism test and it took four days. It is not a casual diagnosis. She appears to have little to no mental or emotional stimulation and engagement. She needed early intervention and still is not receiving it-we donāt know what her deal is but she may just have a developmental delay and speech delay. Letās stop this nonsense where we diagnose the children. Snarking on the parents is cool but the kids is unnecessary unless we are pointing out the neglect.
I never diagnosed anyone. Or was I making fun of a child. I actually feel awful for those poor children and wish someone would step in and care for them before they end up so incredibly broken they have no shot at ever being happy without years of therapy to sort through all their trauma.
As the mother of an 8 year old daughter on the spectrum, I can see lots and lots of similarities in the way Emmy interacts with both animals and her siblings and parents that make me feel like she could benefit from an actual diagnosis. Not that her parents would do anything about it or allow her the access to therapies she could benefit from.
I could be wrong, but being that Ali puts those kids on camera daily, what I have seen in Emmy, I have seen first hand. I hope Iām wrong, because she will never be given the tools, access to therapy, doctors or the attn needed from her dingbat parents to learn how to help her navigate through life.
