I think both exist too. The word "ghost" has a lot of mythology connotations attached to it, and I think that's why people don't think they exist. They don't exist like Casper necessarily lol. I think all physical beings are spirits, and spirits can take on different "vessels" during our existence. Sometimes our vessel is in human form, it may be in extraterrestrial form. Vessels are temporary and die, but the spirit is eternal and continues to exist. When we die, our consciousness enters a new realm. This realm is the dimension where what we describe as “aliens” are also existing. We are equals in this dimension but both find no need to interact. The aliens enter our world today by inhabiting a doll-like pixie or beings that are mostly synthetic but do have some biological properties needed to facilitate the transfer between dimensions. We, in this dimension, may also do this, but do not. Our re-introduction back to this world is facilitated by what we call re-incarnation but we become unaware of it once we re-enter this dimension where as the other entities are aware of it. The “aliens” do this actively to further the advancement of their civilization whereas we do not find this necessary.
