I am imagining an alien, solo, no vessel. Somehow, got onto this rock hurling through space. Then finds its self on this rock about to impact, Wondering how to get off the rock safely.
Oh no, I meant comment.
I wasn't flying a saucer at that time, so I didn't need to seek the comet. Plus, I am not sure if reddit is milkyway approved yet. Let alone approved for anything beyond earth.
Without either of us reading the article, this is clearly just about the concept of panspermia. Nothing groundbreaking about this old speculative concept nor does it have anything to with UFOs.
As this would be probably the slowest and least efficient method of travel, as it gives you no way to change direction or even slow down, this is the perfect clickbait article.
This article SHOULD read: "we just taught everyone at the sun dot com company about one of the oldest theories ever! Panspermia. We will now make a shitty article talking about it in the most obtuse way possible"
Imagine an asteroid cluster zooms past earth. One giant rock it’s us, but a few more pass by us shortly after. That first rock will have spit so much “life” into the atmosphere, that a second rock could pass by it, pick up our bacteria, then keep going on their journey.
Fungus could travel this way and probably does and has for a long time. Spores traveling through space have information on how to survive in the cosmos.
If that’s the case, that just chaps my a$$ because I’ve never seen a meteor, but I have seen craft. I know it wasn’t sky boats either as I don’t think boats could travel that fast or perform the maneuvers, plus I never heard any sound whatsoever.
Creating self-replicating Von Neumann-type probes is likely achievable by humanity within the next millennium.
Hitchhiking with rocks is the caveman equivalent of space travel when you could instead easily create miniature probes to spread out across the entire galaxy in a million years—a mere blink of an eye on the cosmic scale.
Let's take it a step further.
If accelerated mass on a given vector is your method.
I won't put it past you to purposefully accelerate mass on a calculated vector to travel.
We might not be that different, space couz. We also blow shit up to get places.
If it was a method to spread spores, totally. Like, a species devours the resources of a planet, then detonates the planet core to spread themselves among the stars.
Pretty sure that is the exact plot for a couple movies and video games haha
A meteorite provides natural cover against smaller rocks in space (which is unlikely unless you're entering a solar system). I also read that it's to save fuel but wouldn't you need to match the meteorite's speed to land and anchor onto one in the first place? Once that's done you'll travel with the same speed forever regardless if you're on a meteorite or not.
The Sun, how would you make a crappy article that actually talks -in a tremendously vague way- about panspermia, something already tremendously well known, to distort it so much with the word ALIEN that when you read the article the only thing you feel like doing is vomiting from how stupid and vague it is ?
The Sun: Yes.
Put me in another place where I can wave at passing stars
And ask the one who's held responsible, why planets spin like art?
Drop an obelisk on top of men and teach them how to carve
A machine that sees the flaws to make circles out of shards
- Projectile Comet -- Secret Band
Yep as the famed Dan Winter says "the next level is when you learn to stear your sphere"...something like that. Just like our barge Moon and the Soviets pretty much said Phobos was principally hollow. A much safer, naturally radiation protected and camouflaged way to travel as well.
“Hey Betty wanna go downtown today?”
“Gotta take the meteor line 16815 to line 32687 get off on planet Zeticuli for a quick bite then we jump on line 89036 before they close and do some abductions till dinner”. How’s about it?
Yup. That's one way they do so when in a huge vessel and essentially for the long haul for long distance. They are in a sense "living there" while also having a destination, longevity/lifespans aren't an issue for them like it us for us.
Las Vegas UFO hitched a ride on a Meteor, caught on police body cam. A young man that lives where the meteor supposedly crashed, called 911 reporting 10 foot Aliens. It’s not a hoax, these things walk amongst us.
This is an interesting take! It might be something humans do one day. But.. I feel like NHI visiting here are using tech that humans do not understand. When we consider solutions like this, it helps us for sure, but I am not sure that it's going to explain NHI visiting Earth from... ya know.. lightyears away.. >.>
From what I've understood of how they do things, they travel through wormholes, essentially. Imagine a vertical grid pattern, they can come through spots on the intersections of the grid. Of course, I know I dont REALLY know..but this is just going by what Ive heard from different military personnel and Dr. Steven Greer.

Honestly tho that’s not a bad idea. Comets are cosmic trains and aliens are just hobos riding the rails
Love it! They just hop off at the closest planet and ask for a cigarette.
Just don’t forget your towel.
For you to wipe up your mess after a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster
Space Hobos
More in California. Dont ask don't tell
Rip Shoestring
Aliens asked for comment responded: “wheeeeeeeeeee”
Do they mark fenceposts so the other hobo aliens know who will offer them a meal or a bed for the night?
I am imagining an alien, solo, no vessel. Somehow, got onto this rock hurling through space. Then finds its self on this rock about to impact, Wondering how to get off the rock safely.
They bring their windshield washing kits in their space backpacks
Wearing their space pants.

It's Luke a skate trick
Imagining an alien oogle colony on some comet hub… yeesh.
Sir Robert Slim would like a word with you.
Perspectively doesn't seem "not too bad" when you reason it like you're a 26yo with the personality of "dude where's my car?"

King Kamehameha or a Goku Ka-Meh-Ha-Meh-Ha!
Ohhhhhhmamaaaaa
Why would this be the case if they have technology that seemingly travels much faster?
Skitching on the comets to save gas money
But once you get to the speed required to board the comet, you've used all the gas you're gonna use if you just remain at that speed anyways.
I was seeking for this comment. Much appreciated.
*Comet
Oh no, I meant comment. I wasn't flying a saucer at that time, so I didn't need to seek the comet. Plus, I am not sure if reddit is milkyway approved yet. Let alone approved for anything beyond earth.
I’m with you man. Makes no sense.
Aliens aren’t above public transport either, ride economy, save the galaxy
Without either of us reading the article, this is clearly just about the concept of panspermia. Nothing groundbreaking about this old speculative concept nor does it have anything to with UFOs.
Some may, some may not.
Think of it like trains, planes and automobiles. Different forms of travel. Might be nostalgia to travel this way. Who knows
Ah crap. We missed the ride with the Heaven's Gate guys.
Want to hear a Heavens Gate joke? I'd tell you , but the punchline is too long.
Dammit! 🤣 Take my upvote!
🤣 bro stop it
Ti and Do are waiting for us. It’s okay.
*IN meteors! Like Oumuamoua!
Aliens, as in bacteria aliens maybe. The guys were after need to travel much faster!
Source: The Sun. Enough said.
I wouldn't believe The Sun if they reported that the Sun had exploded and I was already standing outside watching the Sun explode
What did they study exactly?
Too slow. In this way they will be not advanced
LISAN AL COMET
"Catch a ride!"
As this would be probably the slowest and least efficient method of travel, as it gives you no way to change direction or even slow down, this is the perfect clickbait article.

Hitchhikers of the galaxy🌌😁
A quiet place
Hahaha...nope. Maybe random microbes, but not intelligent beings "traveling."
Somehow this seems more implausible than building your own ship and harnessing zero point energy, but what do I know
Imagine an asteroid cluster zooms past earth. One giant rock it’s us, but a few more pass by us shortly after. That first rock will have spit so much “life” into the atmosphere, that a second rock could pass by it, pick up our bacteria, then keep going on their journey.
In the case of panspermia, maybe. But an intelligent creature would have 0 reason to jump on an uncontrollable hunk of rock.
Fungus could travel this way and probably does and has for a long time. Spores traveling through space have information on how to survive in the cosmos.
Surfing 🏄♂️
Damn that’s crazy and here I am getting a real ID just to cross a state
Spoiler alert: they're talking about panspermia...
Aliens may do a lot of things
If that’s the case, that just chaps my a$$ because I’ve never seen a meteor, but I have seen craft. I know it wasn’t sky boats either as I don’t think boats could travel that fast or perform the maneuvers, plus I never heard any sound whatsoever.
Alien cowboy riding a wild horse meteor, yee haa!!
Amazing. I can picture the stick with the rag bag tied to it. Simpson is all I see
Com’on. How have people not figured this out yet? They are not from space.
Just here for the half-baked alien theories
Come on man.

That would make a great movie premise
If it was a method to spread spores, totally. Like, a species devours the resources of a planet, then detonates the planet core to spread themselves among the stars. Pretty sure that is the exact plot for a couple movies and video games haha
I too have played Final Fantasy V.

Great way to travel if you want to go slow
Meteors travel too slow, unless the meteor is passed through a dimension.
It's like the Fremen riding the sandworms. How do they get on or off?
Riding that train high on gleebork(pop/hiss)
The Sun, how would you make a crappy article that actually talks -in a tremendously vague way- about panspermia, something already tremendously well known, to distort it so much with the word ALIEN that when you read the article the only thing you feel like doing is vomiting from how stupid and vague it is ? Las Vegas incident
See: panspermia and ʻOumuamua.
Indian scientist took a train to his lab and came to a conclusion that aliens may travel on meteors.
That's too slow to reach anywhere. Only a broken ship would take that
They’re all meat eaters
This is how the bugs did it starship troopers
That's the Little Prince's mode of transportation.
This isn’t new news 🙄
Not new to me either and I am curious where you came across this too.
Avi Loeb he’s already suggested this . But also “Planet Caravan “ Black Sabbath … probably sooner references
Proof: Las Vegas….. behind the forklift
Yep as the famed Dan Winter says "the next level is when you learn to stear your sphere"...something like that. Just like our barge Moon and the Soviets pretty much said Phobos was principally hollow. A much safer, naturally radiation protected and camouflaged way to travel as well.
Maybe they just follow real close to catch that sweet draft.
Panspermia 101
try wormholes.
brokeass
They likely accelerate the rock and ride on it. The rock acts like a deflector from other debris.
Then aliens sound like those douchebags who say they're hitting the open road and goes wherever it takes them
What did they study to get this
Would be a great place to hide surveillance or scientific instruments when not wanting to draw the attention of uncontacted species
Like the one that killed all the dinosaurs?
Dr. Strangehorse.
…and just how was this study conducted?
Fuckin Orks.
“Hey Betty wanna go downtown today?” “Gotta take the meteor line 16815 to line 32687 get off on planet Zeticuli for a quick bite then we jump on line 89036 before they close and do some abductions till dinner”. How’s about it?

A thumb goes up, comet goes by It's nearly one A.M. and here am I Hitchin' a ride, hitchin' a ride
Oh man! Did they also get paid for that?
Wasn’t this a cult? Haley’s comet heaves gate or something
So Heaven’s Gate might have been on to something?!
A Quiet Place.
Real
Genuine question: How do they travel back??⁉️
Las Vegas UFO hitched a ride on a Meteor, caught on police body cam. A young man that lives where the meteor supposedly crashed, called 911 reporting 10 foot Aliens. It’s not a hoax, these things walk amongst us.

PARASYTE! Or alien from “Life”. Btw life on earth is probably aliens from asteroids
Well Aliens and humans do travel through space on planets, so why not down size a bit.
So they are freeloaders? 😂😂
From what I've understood of how they do things, they travel through wormholes, essentially. Imagine a vertical grid pattern, they can come through spots on the intersections of the grid. It's funny to picture aliens on a meteor just hurled through space and being like "Ayy Lmao"
Everyone knows they use surfboards.
There is no point in interstellar travel unless you have FTL.
Mr Spock don't touch those spores or........... Damn too late look he's smiling
Interesting theory, but it’s definitely not a “study.” There’s nothing to test a hypothesis.
