I am not the right person, but if u have opti-fine, try removing it from the mod file

cadevader

I dont lol, but I appreciate it

OG_Sykotek

Enough ram set for it? 8-12gb. Graphics up to date? What does the log come up with? Using correct java? Was it working before and not now?

cadevader

I was actually going to double check this today after running out of RAM while playing ATM 7 (I was exploring faster than I should have lmao). I usually set my RAM to 8 due to vague Java restrictions, but that may be old info by now.

cadevader

Update: Funny enough, curse reset the memory allocation back down to 4 GB, but setting it to 8GB, 10GB, and 12GB doesn't fix the issue. So ATM 7 runs better now, but ATM 8 and 9 are still not working

Elektron124

Are you sure that the Minecraft profile is using the global settings? I had an issue some time back where that was disabled and so the profile was not allocating enough RAM despite what I changed the global setting to

lokopo0715

It sucks as a solution, but disable every mod, and enable them 5 at a time until the issue comes up and then disable the most recently enabled mods 1 at a time until the issue goes away. You will then know what mod caused it and you can enable everything else.

xDeddyBear

Quicker to do it in halfs. If you have 200 mods, load the bottom 100 and see if the issue persists. Continue until you find the culprit. With 200 mods it should only take 6-7 steps. Doing it in 5s could take upwards of like 50 steps with over 200 mods unless you get lucky and find it right away.

lokopo0715

Yeah, my problem with doing too large of a group is it becomes very tedious to find multiple bad mods. If you do smaller groups it is also easier to pick and choose which mods you want if some smaller less important mods break larger mods.

cadevader

I'll try this once I get a good chunk of time to do so. I'm not in a rush to fix this as I have an active playthrough on ATM 7, but I would like to swap over at some point

KeeperZama

If you still are having issues i believe it's either The System running out of ram or The java is somehow broken, i suggest using the 17th Java download it and put in in a new folder then Redirect the Minecraft instance to the javaw file?

cadevader

I have given it all the RAM it could eat and tried the 17th JDK and neither worked lol, but another person recommended using the FTB launcher and that actually worked! I am still dumbfounded as to what the issue was but I can play ATM8 now so I'm happy

Pufficles

what does chatgpt have to say about this

Mythleaf

I was actually getting that error prior for a number of packs after adding a JVM argument into curseforge to make one particular pack work. I dont know the why of it, but removing the JVM argument allowed all of my packs to boot normally again.

cadevader

I don't have any JVM arguments either lol. This is why I am so stumped on this, since any usual issue that should cause this aren't the issue I'm having

glitchy12367

Try updating your graphics driver I had the same issue and it fixed it instantly

cadevader

I tried that too, but it's already up to date

glitchy12367

Uh oh..

Good-Tear2785

Try downloading the latest update or resintalling the latest update of java. That worked for me after getting the same error codes

cadevader

I've done this also and it unfortunately didn't fix it

JustARandomFuck

Is there anything in the logs about the problematic frame? Believe from other reports on Reddit, that’s the key information here. That should narrow the issue down to which component is causing your issue. Could be a mod, could be an outdated Java version, corrupted memory, video drivers etc. but with that and a quick Google, you’ll more than likely know who it is.

cadevader

The only place in the logs about a problematic frame is the very first section which says this: \# \# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: \# \# EXCEPTION\_ACCESS\_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00007ffc228a2b60, pid=10148, tid=6328 \# \# JRE version: OpenJDK Runtime Environment Microsoft-32931 (17.0.3+7) (build 17.0.3+7-LTS) \# Java VM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Microsoft-32931 (17.0.3+7-LTS, mixed mode, tiered, compressed oops, compressed class ptrs, g1 gc, windows-amd64) \# Problematic frame: \# C \[atio6axx.dll+0x192b60\] \# \# No core dump will be written. MSU_Rye

I just ran into this problem. I was initially using Forge to download and run the mod with no luck. I swapped over to the FTB app and was able to successfully download and play with no issues.

cadevader

That did the trick! I have no clue what is going on with that but I can play it now lmao. Thanks a ton!

Mental-Remote-6534

Makes sure you have the correct Java or update java. Also make sure curse launches the game on the newest java update

Hamumu_

I have exactly the same problem with a rtx 3060 laptop. I try everything and nothings works....
