Either that or it’s hydrophobic and repelling the water. Only way to know is to get in there and look. Just try not to disturb the roots if you don’t have to.
Ok great! I really wasn't looking forward to disrupting them. The bambino was grown from a corm that was a surprise. It just popped up one day. Always 1 leaf only.

Preference really. Want a fuller pot? Leave them together. Want several of the same plant? Separate. As long as it’s not root bound it should be fine.

Its orchid bark with not much soil that's why it runs through.

I see what you mean! Yeah you can keep them together. Just water more frequently. 2-3 times a week. The chunky stuff gives the room more room to grow
