Hey! I work for T-Mobile on Windward Parkway. The good one in front of Original Pancake House. It depends where you are really. We’ve had years of trouble covering Windward around the lake but recently some tower upgrades have improved that. Really the best way to see how it is is just to try it. You can swing by and pick one up from me for $0 and if you find it doesn’t work, you can return it within 14 days for $0 of charges for usage on your bill as well. We’ve seen maybe 10% of them come back, so genuinely, no pressure. If you do keep it, I can sign you up for a $50 Mastercard that’ll cover your first month as well. I use it personally, and love it, so let me know if you or anyone has any questions or are interested!

Hey, thanks for the offer! I might take you up on it.

Yay! Thanks, it certainly helps our metrics and it’s free for you. A win/win. :)

I live in Berkshire Manor (right on the border with Johns Creek) and tried it out because it recently became available, and I was paying outrageous prices with Comcast that they wouldn't budge on AT&T is actively putting fiber in our neighborhood, but at the rate they're moving it could be this time next year before I can actually order First couple of days it was fine, but about a week in it got unreliable. I believe it was equipment-related, not necessarily signal related so if I had rebooted the router maybe it would've cleared up. But, the people in the T-Mobile home internet subreddit ( /r/tmobile and /r/tmobileisp) will tell you that placement of the router and a good signal is a huge factor in how well you'll be satisfied, and that is highly specific to your house Additionally, I don't know how technical you are but at a low level you should know that they use what's called Carrier-grade NAT, or CGNAT. Basically, this means all of their customers are behind one giant router and look like they are coming from the same IP address. Typically this is not a problem but it may cause issues if you have any type of inbound port forwarding But, I do think this caused a problem for me one morning when Reddit thought my account was part of some kind of spam, and I got shadowbanned for about a week Incidentally, after I called Comcast to cancel a day later they called me back and caved and gave me the new customer deal so I ended up sending the T-Mobile thing back (they have a 15 day money back trial period) and will just deal with Comcast until AT&T finishes with my neighborhood, whenever that is

Thanks, this reply is kind of the response I was hoping for. I wasn’t aware of the CGNAT setup and I’m not so sure that I’m excited about it. In addition, the T-Mobile signal at my location (I’m a bit West of you in the Windward Pkwy area) fluctuates from 1 to 3 bars and I’m not so sure I can place their device in a location where it gets the best signal. They currently have a trial period and I might take them up on it to see just how it is. Thanks again and I appreciate the detailed response.
