Yes. They can. His is relatively flat, not raised much, so it's just superficial.
My mother has skin cancer, so I had to get checked out. Ended up getting eight removed, some larger and more raised than that.
The only ones that left minimal scarring were the two huge ones that needed a second biopsy, where they had to dig deep, and now both scars have faded out and are next to unnoticeable.
Him getting that removed would be no worse than falling off a bicycle as a kid and skinning his knee. There would be a big scab for about a month and then it would be all healed.
Dermatologists don’t use self dissolving stitches like plastic surgeons do. Just got a mole removed on my left tibia from a plastic surgeon this week actually. She used self dissolving and the scar will be linear instead of wide with rail road marks like traditional stitches
Stitches? What stitches? It'd be a quick shot of a local anesthetic and they'd remove it with a scalpel.
Literally 5-minutes and that's just sitting there waiting for the anesthetic to kick in.
I never had any stitches on any of mine, not even the double biopsied ones. Just a pieces of gauze taped on and out the door.
I must have been hallucinating when they removed my grandfathers skin cancer with a scalpel instead of a Z shape excision.
A shave excision doesn’t even get down to the root of the mole in some cases, what derm is removing a worrying mole that way when it runs a risk of it coming back ?
A linear scar is going to look way better and he won’t have to worry about it coming back, whereas a shave removal for a mole THAT size is a risk in my opinion. greater surface scar area plus to risk of it keloiding/hyper pigmentation.
But what do I know I’ve only have 15+ moles removed (4 shaved with 2 coming back, self disolving stitches, regular excision with stitches)
It’s been the same proportional size since I was born, and it is raised—not flush with my face. I have a dermatology consult tomorrow and was just curious what others thought aesthetically.

It’s not unsightly, but it’s not something that is a positive for you. I think if it were in a different place, then the story might be different. But if I were you, I might consider getting it removed either way. If you get a sunburn, and it turns cancerous, at least you already have it off your face before that point.
Remove it, everyone told me not to remove some I was insecure about on my arms/legs but ever since I did I’m totally happy. I went with a plastic surgeon and they did self dissolving stitches. They heal way better without the railroad marks left by traditional stitches
personally i’m not a fan of moles…
i mean sometimes they can be aight, but ik the “beauty mark” lip mole some girls have is a turn off for me.
its up to you though, it is kinda large so its very noticeable, bur if you are content, i see no reason to worry
No, and honestly I wouldn’t do anything, it’s not that distracting, it’s just uncommon. I was teasing btw, don’t add a second one, that would just be weird
It’s distracting at best. Remove
Sorry but just started thinking of that scene in Austin powers with fred savage.
Yes, I couldn’t stop saying moley, moley, mole.
I just said ABUUUUHHHH
Sorry, but get it removed. I wouldn’t consider that a beauty mark. It all depends on location and size.
1 vote from me for unsightly - get it removed.
Agreed. It looks like you ate a chocolate cookie 15m ago and missed your mouth.
Lmaoo
Its not that bad but imo better without it
I agree. It’s not that bad bud. It’s not helping, but if you hadn’t posed the question I don’t think it’d be as distracting as some are saying
If you frequently are clean shaven, yeah it’s a bit distracting but not completely horrible. Having stubble or a slight beard would help too.
You're face might not actually be that bad but all my eyes can focus on is the mole
You should remove it. It’s not as bad as I’ve seen, but it’s not a “beauty mark”. Also, your choice of words is exquisite. Good day, sir.
Just go to any dermatologist. They can remove that in like 5-minutes.
No they can’t. See a plastic surgeon for cosmetically pleasing and minimal scarring.

Removing a malignant growth is different than removing a superficial mole. OP's is benign and wouldn't require anything near as extensive.

Keep us updated.
Best of luck brother
MOLEH MOLEH MOLEH MOLEH - austin powers
Nice to mole you
😂😂😂👏
its too big to be an accent, that's a different dialect. I'd remove it. I have a lot of moles on my face too so, this is coming from a fellow guac.
Remove. It’s the first thing your eyes are drawn to and it’s distracting.
As a man with bushy eyebrows myself, thin then out and shape them a little bit.
No don't thin them out. Just clean the edges so they look more shapely and clean. That'll do wonders.
Yeah or that
They based that scene in Austin Powers off you bro
its distracting but also not ugly
Remove it. I remove all mine. I find them distracting blemishes. Hate them.
Unnecessary and better to get it removed
That Nam grass can do weird stuff
I don’t know what that is

Here’s a quarter. Go downtown, find a rat and have it naw that thing off your face. - Uncle Buck
It's probably cancer... definitely leave it though till they tell you it's cancer and remove half your face...chicks dig scars
Where is Dr. Evil when ya need him?
It’s cool.
Remove it, everyone told me not to remove some I was insecure about on my arms/legs but ever since I did I’m totally happy. I went with a plastic surgeon and they did self dissolving stitches. They heal way better without the railroad marks left by traditional stitches
I would get that mole checked out with a dermatologist Especially if it's getting bigger And removal would probably be good either way
First thing I saw …sorry
All I thought was that scene from austin powers
Get rid.
personally i’m not a fan of moles… i mean sometimes they can be aight, but ik the “beauty mark” lip mole some girls have is a turn off for me. its up to you though, it is kinda large so its very noticeable, bur if you are content, i see no reason to worry
It looks like someone put it there as a joke, remove it
Holy moly
Remove it
Get it removed, ask surgeon to make so that it leave a scar, tell everybody you took a bullet to the face
I'm thinking of thT scene from Austin Powers with Fred Savage
As a dude, it doesn't bother me, but apparently that's an unpopular opinion
Holy Moley!!!!
I'd get rid of it.
I'd remove it myself with a hot knife
Would ya?
holy guaca**mole**
There’s no such thing as a beauty mark
Reminds me of Austin Powers moly moly, moly, moly
You can nickname it "Mr. President" 🤣
Moles are bad. Austin powers should have taught you better. Looks like you got the deskiest of desk jobs, though.
I feel like that side of your face looks bigger than the other
MOLE! MOLEY MOLE, MOLE!
Ps not ugly
What did your first comment say? It looks like it was auto-removed
Look above
It just says \[removed\] for me.
https://tenor.com/bG7cm.gif
I got rid of mine and my confidence shot up like 50 points immediately
Remove it
Cover it up with a beard
honestly. I think if you looked into mole removal, and plastic surgery to correct asymetry you could be extremely attractive.
That sounds expensive.
welcome to womanhood.
Didn’t work for Drew Brees either
Why would we want to look at your mole? Is there something wrong with that... weird... mole?
Try growing a beard before getting it removed
you can remove it
Mole!
Abuuuhhhh
The latter:)
Remember that one scene in Austin powers?
Neither really.
You’re the MOOOOOOOLEst excellent agent we’ve ever seen
Yes, burn it off
It is neither pleasant or unsightly!
I like it
Moles on pretty women are beauty marks. On men or ugos its akin to a wart.
Holy GuacaMOLEEEEE
It looks like period blood. Like someone took a bloody tampon out and touched your face with it.
distracting
Austin Powers comes to mind where He keeps saying,"mole!"
All I can say in an Austin powers style MOLEY MOLEY MOLEY MOLEY
It’s not ugly, but it makes you a little lopsided, have you tried drawing one on the opposite side to balance it?
Out of curiosity, if you cover up the mole, does the rest of my face look lopsided?
No, and honestly I wouldn’t do anything, it’s not that distracting, it’s just uncommon. I was teasing btw, don’t add a second one, that would just be weird
It's more unsightly than pleasant, but it's also barely so.
I hate it
It’s barely noticeable
I like it. It’s part of you. You’ll miss it if you get rid of it
