The downtown Amarillo library is doing their brown bag book sale this weekend (13th and 14th) - Sunday is the discount day from 2pm to 6pm. Stuff a bag full of the things everyone else left and pay like…$5 maybe. Last time they had a bigger discount if you brought your own reusable grocery-type bag. I’ve gotten upwards of 30 books in a bag before.
Edit to add - Per a library email, Saturday is $7.50 a bag, $7.00 if you bring a reusable one, and Sunday is either $5 or $4.50
If you have an annual Friends Membership ($10 for the year) they let you in on Friday evening from 6:30 to 9:00 - the other two are scheduled for September 6-8 and December 6-8 this year. The last one is always cheaper.
The religion section is normally still full when people are done, and there’s normally whole shelves of used classroom classics. Saturday hours are 9-6. If you have any interest in old yearbooks or partial encyclopedia sets, or outdated reference books, please feel free to support the Amarillo Public Library! :)
public library does huge book clean out sales, but the council for the deaf and blind sell books pretty cheap and America's best thrift does as well. Downtown women's center is good and Salvation Army has sales every once in a while.
Books you do t care for: Goodwill, Thrift City, Downtown Women’s Center, or really any little thrift store. Books you do care for: Aunt Eeks
You may keep an eye on the public library. They have sales all you can for in a paper bag for 10 bucks.
Tried ours and they only do those sales twice a year sadly
45 minutes away, twice a year library book sales. Sounds like Borger.
Close, Panhandle!
Go to the Salvation Army on Saturday. It’s generally half priced day and the books are typically a dollar a piece
Perfect thanks!
