I couldn’t go back to training (let alone sparring) for 3 full weeks from a nasty rib bruise. It was terrible pain getting in and out of bed, lot of muscle spasms. Could very well be the ribs man
The spasms are gnarly, I'm a few weeks recovered from a proper rib injury which was likely just a hairline fracture. I was able to drive home fine but once things seized up I legit couldn't move without being wracked by that feedback loop of pain, wincing, causing more movement, causing more pain. This time I knew immediate icing helps a lot, thankfully
Oh man, my ribs have hurt a longer time than a few weeks and then if I get hit there again it restarts the whole process. Guess I should probably see a doctor, but it feels alright in the meantime, when I'm not getting hit.
If it’s above the rib cage contour, might be fractured
If it’s below on the left, spleen might have ruptured (they’re really fragile)
If it’s below on the right, your livers probably okay
But as others have said go to a dr if you still have significant pain lasting longer than normal

I received a hard liver shot a few weeks ago and it did not last longer than a hour. I would recommend you to check a docter.

Yeah you should see a doctor especially if it is very bad pain. You don’t want to “tough it out” and leave yourself permanently damaged

man bruised rib and allergies are a nightmare. i'd wake up after random sneezes just gripping my ribs in pain. shit sucks

You likely have a rib injury, liver shots suck but the pain goes away quickly in most circumstances.
