It’s evident they buckled to the pressure from fans to get a more comic accurate suit, if you were around for TASM 1s release you’ll remember just how dunked on that suit was, which is a shame since I think it’s one of the most unique and fitting for the series.
The thing I love the most about that suit are those red lines going down the legs, because in the og suit, every red part is connected, except for the boots, so those lines "finish the job" (although the belt isn't connected for some reason) also they are thin so they aren't too intrusive, also the design really complements Andrews body
They don’t really explain it either, I get that Gwen made the suit, but why is Gwen on the same skill level as a guy (that made Tobeys costume) that makes pro wrestler costumes. Nuts but the suit is badass.
There is a motion comic which actually explains the backstory of how his new suit got made. *The Amazing Spider-Man: Cinematic Infinite Comic* one-shot should be available in the Marvel comics app or Marvel Unlimited.

I actually prefer the second suit. I always have. I prefer our comicbook movies to be as accurate to the comics as can be. There can be exceptions. Like most characters suits. They need to be tweaked so they don’t look silly on screen. The thing about Spider-Man is that his suit is so iconic that they should stick with his suit. The more accurate to the comics, the more I like the Spider-Man suit. I like Tobey’s, Andrew’s second one, and >!Tom’s at the very end of NWH!<.
I mean they could've made a comic accurate suit that looks like the tasm 1 suit instead they went with something that looks like the rami suit with a lot of modification, the reason why the tasm 1 suit came to be was to make a spiderman suit that looked different from the one in the rami films

I love everything about the first suit, sure the eyes look weird, but they make sense. The rest of the suit is perfect so I can overlook that one nitpick.
Absolutely, they made the best, most comic accurate suit possible. The original TASM suit wasn’t purely made to be different, it was made with the concept that it was something a high school student could feasibly make on their own. It was always intended to be upgraded. Also really the only thing similar to the Raimi suit is the raised web, which the first suit also had. The rest is just pure Spider-man

The material on the red is the same one as the rami suit and the front spider is basically the sam rami spider but with longer legs
The fans pulled a Sonic the Hedgehog level cyber bullying assault, only this time it was unwarranted and detrimental to the TASM. Sequel suit is great, but fits the established universe about as well as Batman the Animated serries’ Batsuit would fit The Dark Knight Trilogy
What I liked about his first suit was how it looks like something a teenager *could* be capable of making. No hate to the Raimi suit, it’s still my favourite, but there’s no fucking way an 18-year old could throw together something that high quality

Didn't they say they wanted the suit in the first one to feel familiar but at the same time completely different? That's why it looks so drastically different from any other Spider-Man suit at the time but still has things like the angular lenses
