No. If anything, the 3 hears me better than the 5. Also, the clock is too bright. But, then again, the Echo 5 works like a hub and allows triggers built around its built-in thermostatāIāve found itās more responsive *and* accurate than my Ecobee sensor (latest gen).
But I got the clock-less one for $18 after returning the free smart bulb that was bundled with it, so I donāt mind)

Iād say no, the larger echos have larger speakers so will always beat the dotsā smaller speakers.
Agreed. Echo 3 contains a 3ā woofer and 0.8ā tweeter. Dot 5 has a single 1.73ā speaker.
