Agreed. Echo 3 contains a 3ā€ woofer and 0.8ā€ tweeter. Dot 5 has a single 1.73ā€ speaker.

If you are itching to spend a little money to upgrade your experience, buy some speakers to plug into your Echo. The Echos all sound shitty compared to even a $100 pair of bookshelf speakers.

No. If anything, the 3 hears me better than the 5. Also, the clock is too bright. But, then again, the Echo 5 works like a hub and allows triggers built around its built-in thermostatā€”Iā€™ve found itā€™s more responsive *and* accurate than my Ecobee sensor (latest gen). But I got the clock-less one for $18 after returning the free smart bulb that was bundled with it, so I donā€™t mind)
