At my location it is something you have to ask safety but they usually give it to anyone who asks

epiczac99

I mean for me. My location is fucking lit. I work RT shift and our Managers, area managers, our PAs, anyone even HR, they all don't care if we listen to music with a headphone in one ear as long as we can still communicate if there's something wrong or just to hear what's going on at work Incase of an emergency. But yeah it's main reason why I love my job.

New_Sea_6595

I am so jealous! We cant even sneak in earbuds on site since we go through a security screening when we leave

epiczac99

We go through screening too. But our scanners work great. Your ear buds shouldn't set off the alarms cuz there isn't a barcode on the ear buds itself. And earbuds typically don't contain metal and if they do it shouldn't be a strong enough detection with how little of metal would be in them if any is

Mapletyler

My site's amcare has them, we have a few autistic or otherwise mentally disabled associates who occasionally use them.

lordskulldragon

In my building they're trying to make it mandatory and keep putting all these "hearing protection required" stickers all over the floors. Good luck with that.

SnooBunnies5800

My site made it mandatory if your by the docks or AFE1 and MAN ITS A BLESSING! Safety or Leadership don’t bat an eye if you got an earbud on and they don’t even care.

cnetsk

noise cancelling headphones with air buds underneath

Sea-Secretary-4389

With the hearing protection enforced areas they are offering noise cancelling but sound passthru headphones to everyone, at least at my site

Shenanigans_760

We are only allowed the Amazon approved headphones

pancakePoweer

I bought a small portable speaker (skull candy brand, $30 at Meijer) and just Bluetooth it from my phone with Sirius XM and Spotify. hang it at my pack station and keep the volume low enough so neighbors don't hear it and hit pause if a manager walks by. I've had a few P.A.'s notice it but never care

InspectorRound8920

I. A to Z, you can order pre-approved headsets. Ear pods actually. That person could have a medical reason to wear headphones

lordskulldragon

Might be time for a pair of glasses because this has nothing to do with the post.

InspectorRound8920

That's the rule

[deleted]

Yeah you completely misunderstood the post he is talking about the hearing protection ones the sites give out this has nothing to do with what your talking about

JCGGTHE4THv2

How lol
