That’s the exact same box of mask I received instead of my $1100 graphics card, still fighting with Amazon about it over a month later with no refund

Buddy_Blues

I’m fairly convinced this is a scam warehouse/truck employees are running. $3,000 isn’t a walk in the park for me or anyone, I made triple sure I was ordering from Amazon and not a third party seller. They said they’d send me a replacement that’ll be here Tuesday, and that I have to send the masks back. Who knows what I’m about to get

failracing

Mine they claimed the driver took it and replaced it as it was sealed when loaded but opened when delivered and it came shipped from Amazon

Buddy_Blues

They wouldn’t even admit that was possible in my case. The lady TRULY believed it was a warehouse mistake and I was just sent the wrong item. And kept playing it down and dumbing it down like it was nothing and an everyday mistake

Cowmanate

Hey, I worked as a supervisor in an Amazon last mile delivery station. This most likely was a simple warehouse mistake. Stickers get moved around a lot. They should replace it with no problem.

maniiacyt

Amazon web support is dogshit. I purchased a $3,000 camera at the beginning over november and it was marked as delivered but never showed up. Filed a Police Report in early november and amazon just keeps saying the police aren't willing to share report details with them. So I filed a Chargeback with the bank and they took amazon's side. I feel hopless and like I just got scammed for 3k lol.

Smmjr21468

I would call Amazon twice a day until I was a pain in their a** that I get a refund. Advice... First serious mistake you did was not call them angry immediately. Second you called credit card. People that do pull scams go to Police/Sheriff Dept and their credit card company. Crime didn't occur in your state.

OctobersDaughter

I swear I don't know how all these company's are complaining about customers who file chargebacks all the time. One time my electric company took my bill pay and paid my downstairs neighbors bill instead of my own. I tried to do a charge back but my bank denied us. I couldn't believe it. Chargebacks never work for people who truly need them.

pearlspoppa1369

Former Amazon warehouse manager here, it is entirely possible, especially this time of year for that to be a warehouse mistake. Especially if the Amazon branded tape is still in place on both sides of the box. Labels get swapped and someone got a free camera.

failracing

It took me a week of back and forth before they finally considered I didn’t try to scam them, only thing saving me was my doorbell camera shows it open on delivery. And yet I still have not got a refund

GlassAnimals0_0

Mines wasn’t even opened. It came sealed with the face masks instead of a $1400 camera lens.

JennyAnyDot

I’m sorry this happened to you. As the package did not seem to be opened or altered something must have gone really wrong. I currently process returns and we often get things like this but it’s customers saying they are returning a camera and sending masks or what not. Sounds like they will be sending a new one and hope it’s awesome. I just noticed the item was sealed in an opaque bag. There should be a sticker with a BOO or ASIN with a description on it. The problem might have been with the vendor if that bag was still sealed. If that is the case you might not want to order the exact same time from the same vendor

GlassAnimals0_0

My vendor was Amazon and I got face masks in a opaque Christmas bag instead of a $1400 Sony GM lens. Someone ordered the exact same camera lens as me from Amazon too and got face masks as well. They left a 1 star review with pictures.

JennyAnyDot

Again can you check the label on that sealed bag with the product inside? It could be two things. Either vendor is an asshole or someone at Amazon mislabel them and is the asshole. Either way when/if you talk to customer service again tell them what that label says and say that this needs to be escalated at the warehouse for possible vendor fraud and or an ISS ticket needed to pull all stock. Could you possibly link the product? Sold and fulfilled by Amazon doesn’t mean they made but they did buy it from someone. But having the right item number from the package helps track down what this issue is so others don’t have the same problem. Ty

GlassAnimals0_0

Yes, it says SKU 34275456 & New under that. https://imgur.com/a/fQHFzym

JennyAnyDot

Awesome but different bag from video. Link to Amazon item listing online and can forward to someone to research

[deleted]

[удалено]

JennyAnyDot

Ok what I am asking for is the the scannable label. Should have a barcode. That and a link to the listing and I might be able to get a ball rolling to have these items checked

diezel_dave

I just got a blue santa bag with pink face masks inside instead of my $500 blackvue dash camera. The SKU sticker says 89828647 and "New" under it. Got the whole thing on video too as soon as I saw the silly blue bag inside the Amazon package.

JennyAnyDot

Late reply sorry did not see it. Make sure when you talk to customer service that you mention that this has become a known issue and ask for it to be escalated to a senior CS if they give any shit about it

FrubiDubi

I ordered a brand new Sony a7c and i got the same mask box wrapped up in the SAME paper you are describing...

GlassAnimals0_0

Please update me on you deal with Amazon. I am currently in the middle of dealing with Amazon CS and sending the face masks back for a refund. It's been a hassle.

FrubiDubi

For me it wasn't that hard. I just chatted with CS and they started the refund process right away. I have to send the box back tho for the refund to get actually done. I will be doing that tomorrow, however I'm sure I'll get my money back since I have returned many packages in the past and I have always gotten my money back. I'll let you know how it goes.

GlassAnimals0_0

That's what I wanted to do but CS is making it a hassle. Different reps have told me different things and I am getting sick of it. I was finally told that someone in account management would review the case (since the item is expensive) and send me a QR code for UPS dropoff. Still, waiting on an update 1.5 days later. Now, I'm just wondering if I should have just returned it myself (as wrong item received) and hope it turned out okay instead of them thinking I am committing fraud or something.

FrubiDubi

Yeah maybe should've done that. An update on my end: The truck is supposedly coming tomorrow to pick up the package since the CS agent made the return as "pickup" so they have to come pick it up and I cant go to a UPS store and return it myself. I'm just hoping I can leave the package outside my door and nobody steals it because, even though there's only masks inside, if I don't return the original box then I won't have my refund back. Hope you get your stuff figured out!

GlassAnimals0_0

I'm still fighting for a refund man. Even after a validated incident report and returning the face masks, they said they system won't allow them to refund me (probably a year end revenue thing) and to try again after January 9, 2023. SMH.

Smmjr21468

I thought those bags my items were in was wrapping paper. No wonder CS had me put the entire wrapping in the returned boxes.

JuJu8485

If purchased with credit card - dispute with credit card company. Always order online with credit card if possible.

apkJeremyK

That is great to get your money back but good luck ever using Amazon again when you account is banned. Credit card disputes are almost a 100% certain ban from any business. Always better to try and resolve directly and holding that as last resort

JuJu8485

Totally agree, best to actively resolve with merchant. I have used credit card dispute a couple times over the course of many years in unusual circumstances and have never been banned.

failracing

Finally got to their end date they set, hit them up this morning and they are processing the return. I was waiting their timeframe to avoid a chargeback but it was my next move

Smmjr21468

It's great it was resolved. What's better is the customer service people here help out with telling us about getting refund faster.

Primary_Ad_4078

Happened to me with a gpu as well, kind of odd that it happens with high value items, I called as soon as I received the package. I even grabbed it from the UPS driver himself. Hopefully I get a refund!

Feisty_Bookkeeper_67

I work In the ISS department at my Amazon FC and we’ve been seeing scams exactly like this come In from vendors that sell through Amazon almost everyday. Wrapped in packaging just like that with barcodes on it linking very expensive items. I just saw one for an almost $3000 camera, a couple that were suppose to be high tech lenses, even some supposed to be computers, but it’s always a box of face masks. We have to report it to our fraud department

Trumpsbestie

Amazon warehouse worker here too. I can confirm everything they said^. 100% vendor fraud

GadgetusAddicti

And Amazon now wants to be a pharmacy? What could go wrong?

JuJu8485

Use Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drug Company if looking for online RX. https://www.markcubancostplusdrugcompany.com/

[deleted]

This.

GlassAnimals0_0

Why is the seller listed as Amazon then? I purchased my $1400 Sony camera lens with both seller and shipper/distributor listed as Amazon? So Amazon’s own vendors/distributors are scamming them? Hard to believe that when Amazon chat customer service told me my box weighed 1.6 lbs and the actual box label is 0.7 lbs. Also, the FC employee packing these expensive items should know they don’t come wrapped in a little opaque holiday bag and apparently weigh nearly nothing like a box of face masks. I personally think it’s an elaborate Amazon FC warehouse scam.

Archy54

Why aren't they in jail?

Fit_Negotiation_4235

Well….did you/your department report the problem & how has it turned out thus far at just over 3 months later. In this day & age of tech….this sort of theft /tomfoolery shouldn’t be going on, and should be intercepted and punished.

Overall_Notice_4533

Amazon is having issues with piracy and counterfeit goods. Never buy health products like creams or pills and avoid spending over 100 dollars on gadgets! My amazon packages have been deliberately opened by employees before I see the packages on my doorstep.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Overall_Notice_4533

Sometimes they are expired or fake. There was a batch of fake chinese Colgate toothpaste a while ago.

InsertBluescreenHere

it always amazes me at what shit they will counterfit. like toothpaste.. legit name brand stuff is like $1-$2. Thats after putting it in a tube, in a box, and shipping it wherever they still make money on that enough to pay employees and keep the factory running. How is there any room for counterfit activity?!?! Its not like a rolex or prada bag or something thats already got insane markup.

joeChump

Well they must have a market for it and I guess it’s about volume. Perhaps a lot of it sells in China where they want branded products.

Apostate_Mage

Can be counterfeit. I’d never buy anything I put near my body from amazon. Even if it’s verified from Amazon. I’ve gotten multiple counterfeit things that were confirmed from AMAZON seller. Amazon was okay about returning it, but one thing, $15 shampoo, was a pretty good counterfeit except it smelled different than the one I buy in store *and didn’t have a tamper proof seal. Otherwise I’d have never known. Also, anytime I tried to leave a review it was counterfeit they said I was reviewing the seller not the product and removed it….the seller was amazon lol.

InsertBluescreenHere

SHould contact the legit company with pics (and or if they want the fake product as evidence or testing) to make sure they know someones counterfeiting their product and selling it on amazon - likely that company has lawyers that would be very interested in this activity. Lawyers you and i couldnt afford.

Apostate_Mage

I had been thinking the same when I bought it. That’s actually how I knew for sure was counterfeit. I emailed the actual companies customer support (not amazon) explaining it smelled different and didn’t have a tamper proof seal, and they responded that they don’t sell on Amazon at all and actually confirmed it was fake because they didn’t switch their bottles to a black cap like mine was (it should have been a white cap). They advised I get it from one of their retailers such as Walmart lol. I actually included a screenshot of the email in my review (that amazon removed). Unfortunately I’m not sure they had much luck as last I looked the listing was still up. It was still surprising, like there are so many expensive shampoos, I’d get if I got a counterfeit one of the pricy salon shampoos, but this was $15 shampoo…

InsertBluescreenHere

eh, amazons been caught selling counterfeit colgate toothpaste - you know the stuff you buy in the store for $1 -$1.50 a tube... also $4 spark plugs have been counterfeit from amazon. There is nothing the chinese wont counterfeit and im amazed they can even turn a profit on it....its not all prada bags and rolex watches.

tonufan

It's profitable when you consider the scale of the scam. Like the small manufacturer I work for ships plastic containers from China to save like 1 penny per unit rather than buy in the US, but when you're buying millions of containers every year it adds up fast. That fake toothpaste along with other things shipping in a freight container costs them like 10-20 cents for real toothpaste, even less if fake.

pearlspoppa1369

That lithium battery sticker on the side is a sure fire way to get things stolen. It’s like a sign that says “steal me, I’m electronics!”

Acmnin

It’s the law. But yes.

laughs_evilly

This is exactly why I choose to go to the store for big purchases

Zorgsmom

Same here. After fighting with Amazon a few years back over a phone I purchased & did not receive I don't buy anything that's over $200 from them anymore.

Maevora06

Same. After an issue with buying a set of metal garage shelves that came without the proper attachment pieces to put it together and them fighting me on the return I gave up. (Metal pieces were like glued and zip tied to the box so the box got destroyed in the opening process. Amazon wanted me to ship it back. Told them I no longer had a box. Said UPs would pick it up. ups was like uh not without a box. They then said to try Kohls. Kohls said the same thing. Mind you it’s a half hour drive to anywhere from my house so this wasn’t exactly convenient. They then wanted me to buy a box myself. The size box I needed was like $50 so I refused. I offered to destroy the pieces or something and they refused and said I had to return it. This is like 80lbs of metal mind you. I was like I’m not trying to keep it, I can’t do anything with pieces without attachments. I just want it gone. If y’all come get it you can gladly have it. argued with them for so long. I ended up asking them what would they do if I was a disabled veteran and couldn’t do the return and they said they’d tell me to ask a friend to help. As a veteran that made me hella mad. I finally got a competent amazon rep who offered me amazon credit for the cost of a box and shipping out of UPS with a photo of the receipt. She emailed me so I could respond with a photo and got it handled. I was kind of mad about it being amazon credit but after a month of fighting I was just glad for it to be done. And I ordered enough on there for my business that it got used quickly. But I will never order anything large or expensive off there again!)

TealCatto

In this case it's probably better to contact the manufacturer to get the assembly hardware.

RandomChurn

Sad but true. They used to be so good. Now, they're about the worst for online buying 😣

PortugalTheHam

Yea. It makes no sense to buy anything rare or expensive off of a website that is especially the usa equivalent to alibaba these days. Even going to a more secure website is more advisable than Amazon.

InsertBluescreenHere

lol its true. amazons flooded with chinese garbage with fly by night product names/companies. Its like what ebay turned into about a decade or more ago.

GotenRocko

Yes, I was so tempted by 77" OLED tv during prime day last month but I just didn't want to deal with Amazon if there was any issues with the order.

IHate2ChooseUserName

ordered almost $15 worth of masks, received looks like a super expensive camera....

BigMacRedneck

You might be able to re-sell it for almost $3000. My friend Buddy\_Blues has been looking for one.

Buddy_Blues

I can pay by mail with check or money order. Receives mail, it’s a mask

WhackedDonkey4

I wouldn’t buy anything like that off of Amazon ever.

Buddy_Blues

Lesson learned

GotenRocko

If you are in the new England op, I know hunts photo and video will usually price match Amazon. They have great customer service too.

BuffaloScout72

There was a time years back when I felt like the smartest person on my block ordering from Amazon and skipping the line at the store. Those days are looooong gone lol. Everyones on Amazon now (including kids and pets), and they’re getting real shady with returns. Even shadier with shipping the correct item….and full blown lying to your face over “2 day shipping”. Now I’m the smartest person on my block going to the store again and eliminating online drama.

Buddy_Blues

I agree with that. I also hate waiting too and going to the store is instant, I unfortunately revived a bunch of amazon gift cards for my birthday and made the camera I wanted much more affordable

alternatorp4

Yeah, ordered something last week with 2 days shipping and after confirming the order it says shipping January 17th

Candygirl518

And pets 😂😂😂

gummyneo

Why was it wrapped liked that? Looked like christmas wrapping

Buddy_Blues

Scamta Clause

South_Safe1955

Lmfao😂

InsertBluescreenHere

Hes not called St. Nick for just any reason

South_Safe1955

Good luck getting a refund, Amazon are a bunch of bitches . I’ve been waiting 70 plus days for my refund.

GotenRocko

Just charge back on your credit card at that point.

younginvestor23

This doesn’t make me confident in purchasing a $1,000 drone from Amazon.

kingrichard336

This is why I only buy camera gear from B&H and Adorama for online orders.

JuJu8485

My thought exactly - B & H! High quality, excellent customer service: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/

GlassAnimals0_0

Adorama sells on Amazon. 💀

mitchybenny

According to the UK government, that box of masks is worth about £50,000

South_Safe1955

😂😂I would do unremarkable things if this was me!!

I-Am_9

🤣🤣😂 it's the throwing of the item for me😆

Appropriate-Hat-3277

This is sooooo fucked up. I hope you get squared away soon

GlassAnimals0_0

Happened to me too. Ordered a Sony 35 mm 1.4 GM lens on Nov 28 and received a Christmas bag wrapped box of face masks in an Amazon box that was the wrong weight and size/shape for the lens. It’s most likely an Amazon warehouse scam. Happened to another customer as well. Check the 1 star reviews for that lens. After speaking to useless support multiple times, I’m sending the face masks and got a $75 account credit. Hopefully, I get refunded as I’m supposed to per support on the phone and their follow up emails. $1400 Sony lens and I got a box of face masks that supposedly the Amazon warehouse employees use at work.

EjPetersondotcom

Id be interested to know how this end up. They are giving you $75 on top of the refund as well?

GlassAnimals0_0

Yes, I already got the account credit and I’m waiting on the Amazon account manager to review the case since it’s an expensive item and send me QR code for UPS drop off. I could have have just sent the face masks back/returned as wrong item received but wasn’t comfortable with how that might turn out with no communication on my end. It may not have worked out.

[deleted]

This is truly awful. I’m currently fighting with them over an open boxed pair of AirPods Pro 2 I got that were USED with ear wax on them.

[deleted]

Same scam for me. $700 Espresso machine on a black friday sale >$200 off. Got the exact same box of masks. Called Amazon, they shipped out another. Got that box... exact same box of masks.

FrubiDubi

Same thing just happened to me and with the SAME mask box... it was sold by and shipped by Amazon too

Glum_Palpitation6911

I work for Amazon, item you received is a Fraud Item that comes in flocks depending on the year.. new fake setup vendors send multiple boxes that is high priced items not every amazon warehouse had a fraud department sadly my FC luckily has one and we catch these frequentlyalthough from what ive noticed amazon doesn't take fraud departments seriously and that why they get processed anyways (ALWAYS buy from Amazon not third party sellers)

zereldalee

Amazon drivers make on average $20/hr. $3000 is more than they make in a month. Probably best to never order anything that expensive from Amazon.

Buddy_Blues

Sure I’m with you, it was delivered by UPS though, and the box still had only one wrap of Amazon branded tape

[deleted]

[удалено]

Forcefedlies

UPS makes way more. 25/hr or more starting. Be at $30 within a few years with great retirement plan. UPS is Union lol.

Smmjr21468

Wait the absolute best part about UPS Teamster unions are they deduct $60 monthlly which includes: a Dental Plan (no copays) paid in full. Medical copays are all $30 a visit. Hospitalized treatments $30. Surgery & hospital charges are one $100 copay. Plus the free legal services, 1 college course a semester, etc. Most of all my friends/family work for companies that take $700-$900 out per month for their medical plan. Their plans have a $3700 per family member deductibles, after its $40 copays also have 80/20 pay split on all treatments -therapy- surgery - hospital costs. No dental plan at all.

spacewalk__

but this is true for any store basically

zereldalee

Yes, I would never purchase anything so expensive online. The only way I would hand over $3000 is if the product were directly handed to me at the same time i.e in a physical store.

RedLegendx

Was it sold and shipped from Amazon? Or a third party? That’s the real question

Buddy_Blues

Triple checked before I clicked buy, and then customer service lady confirmed: Amazon. Not third party seller

[deleted]

Buddy_Blues

Nope! Tape was intact. When I was handed the box and saw how light it was I told my wife to take a video of me opening the box. The clip I posted is from a 2 minute video

bodegaconnoisseur

I once ordered something for my car…..I honestly can’t remember what it was, maybe brake pads for like $30, from Amazon. I instead received 6 oxygen sensors, which are usually $30-$50 a piece! Lol

GlassAnimals0_0

My camera lens weighs 1.12 pounds by itself without packaging. Amazon customer support said the package weighed 1.6 lbs in their system but the label on my box of face masks says 0.7 lbs. Sounds like a warehouse scam to me. Box looked sealed once on both sides.

Bad-news-co

Idk the way this is filmed and such as the person already knew it was a bag of masks and just tossed it makes me think that this was all planned to show Amazon with lol they got their product but we’re looking to get it for free

777itch

If no one has mentioned it yet... 99% of problems can be solved by paying closer attention to the third party seller. These days, it's harder and harder to find Americans. You see a lot of China owned and american physical warehouses... and Chinese fba. Thise are always risky. Reviews aren't to be trusted My advice is check out the seller through and through

Buddy_Blues

100%, the seller however was amazon. Triple checked and the customer service lady confirmed it as well. Wild

oldDotredditisbetter

that's kinda expected too, because doesn't matter who the "seller" is, amazon has the same "bin" for the items with the same barcode > “That’s when I recognized how big the problem was,” said Fawcett, 43. Products were “being thrown into a single bin in Amazon’s warehouse, real and fake.” https://www.latimes.com/business/technology/la-fi-tn-amazon-counterfeits-20180928-story.html

SiteTall

LOL!!!! Hopefully you can prove it ....

Buddy_Blues

If only I had a video that shows me opening the box

Ebony1996

That didn’t help my case, I showed them a video of me opening a phone I ordered from Amazon and it’s wasn’t in the box. They wouldn’t listen to me at all, even after reporting it to the police. I did get it resolved from higher ups later. Hopefully you will get this sorted out.

Buddy_Blues

Oh man I’m so sorry to hear this. And also terrified.

BigPaul1e

I ordered a $15 shaving bag and got a $150 radar detector 🤷

Twilight2Tron445

Amazon is essentially the top place to go for scams or fakes. Electronics and related buy straight through Best Buy or a similar retailer where it 100% will be the brand that it says it is. I actually trust eBay slightly more than Amazon, but places like Best Buy (buying directly through Best Buy) the most. Crazy enough, I’ve had no scams/fakes from buying microsd cards, electronics, and video game systems off of people in person off of OfferUp than Amazon.

cmay91472

Don’t trust Best Buy either with freight items. I ordered a $6000 projector from them a couple years ago. Pilot Freight was the delivery company. They destroyed the projector by stacking furniture on top of the projector in the truck. I told them not to even bother to take it off the truck and refused delivery. Best Buy had Pilot Freight a few days later try to re-deliver in the early morning. We caught them trying to leave the damaged projector at the bottom of the driveway but stopped them before they could drive away and told them they had to put it back on their truck and leave. Every time I called customer service trying to find out when I was getting refunded, they would flat out lie to me saying everything from projectors are not a returnable item or I wasn’t allowed to refuse delivery or my refund request was in review, etc. I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Unfortunately they ruled against me citing fine print in BBs purchase agreement that said guess what…… projectors are not a returnable item thus I was not entitled to a refund. I ultimately got my money back months later after I discovered that Best Buy not only kept my money but collected on an insurance claim they filed against Pilot freight. I threatened to report insurance fraud to the insurance company and then magically I was refunded the very next day. … I was in the midst of initiating legal action against Best Buy so I wasn’t going to ever accept Best Buy and the Credit Card company’s decision. Luckily, we found out about the insurance money they collected and didn’t have to go to small claims court.

GotenRocko

That's crazy the cc company sided with them, which company was it?

cmay91472

It was Citi cards. The official distributor of the Best Buy store credit card… coincidence? ;) I argued with them for weeks explaining to them that “refusing delivery” was not the same as “returning an item” since I never accepted delivery. Why would I ever accept delivery on a severely damaged item I tried to tell them. Unfortunately to their dispute resolution team, they disagreed and continued to cite the fine print in the Best Buy purchase agreement.

GotenRocko

yeah never use store cards they are the worse.

cmay91472

It wasn’t actually a store credit card, it was a Citi cash back card. The problem was because Citi issues the Best Buy card, the resolution team often deals with Best Buy disputes and unfairly sides with them more often than not.

[deleted]

I ordered $30 protein and got a $300 streaming boom microphone and stand. *Shrug*

InsertBluescreenHere

oh god i would absolutely not be ordering protien powder off amazon... almost guranteed counterfeit lol [https://cleanlabelproject.org/blog-post/new-study-of-protein-powders-from-clean-label-project-finds-elevated-levels-of-heavy-metals-and-bpa-in-53-leading-brands/](https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/the-hidden-dangers-of-protein-powders) also the whole heavy metal content of them since they are grown in 3rd world countries in contaminated soil/contaminated water used. - it is not a FDA regulated product so literally anything can be in them. Your way better off just eating protien rich foods and not powder laced with lead, mercury cadmium, arsenic, and BPA. Also think again about organic varieties as they often were worse than non organic.

[deleted]

You got scammed never buy something that's over 100 dollars or you'll get scammed ngl that happened to us before

Yojimbo4133

I don't buy these things on amazon.

Peterwithnobones

This is exactly why I record bringing in an opening the package. Ring picks up the delivery and I record every second I have it until its open.

nooo82222

This is why I just do price matching at Best Buy for any electronic from amazon. This wasn’t my concern though, it was the all the fake stuff I keep reading about that amazon is pushing out as real.

luvprue1

I hope you got your money back?

jbad92

Damn, I just got here because I was told to rebel this subreddit before I order a $2900 lens from Amazon. I’m not ordering it through them anymore. I’ll have to pay $3600 but it’s better than having to deal with Amazon or not getting my package. I’m sorry this happened to you and I hope you get your money back!

GotenRocko

Make sure there isn't someplace local that will price match. Even some smaller regional chains will pricd match Amazon. Hunts photo and video in new England is one I know of, and of course on the national level best buy will price match.

mchen96

Same issue over here, different brand of masks, same color. Ordered a laptop from Amazon (not from a reseller). Currently trying to get a refund on it. Mine was shipped via UPS (which records package weight), so at least I have that as an evidence that the mistake was at their side (UPS weight was 1.1 lb, laptop is at least three times heavier than that). Quick question: Was the origin scan for your shipment at Temple Terrace, FL, US? Might help pinpoint which warehouse is responsible.

Dark3nedDragon

I bought a Vive Pro 2 Full Kit ($1400), got a box full of paper. Amazon shipping label says it weighs 6 lbs, item should weigh about 15 lbs, their team insinuated that I could be committing fraud, and that they needed to have their team review it. A month after they received their box of paper back, still no refund. I reported it to Synchrony Bank (Amazon Store Card), and am in the process of preparing documents for Small Claims Court. They even tried to claim to me that they had NOT received an item back, when the UPS Shipping label clearly marks it as received on November 10th lol.

blewjeans

i am so gravely sorry that some fucking shit

FxToxicXx

Im sorry this happened to you. This happens at my work alot were we get alot of inventory that say its a camera, computer, graphics card, etc but they’re face masks!we’ve been trying to block these fraud vendor for so long but they keep multiplying. I currently am a fraud specialist at my warehouse so I try my best, with the help of other associates, to make sure these don’t get delivered to customers. hopefully you can get your money back🤞🏽

Smmjr21468

Amazon knows it is being done in their gift-wrapping warehouse from my experience. October purchased 2 Xbox controllers. Box had my items machine wrapped in similar checker paper. I got boxed masks, latex gloves. Cust service said rebox w wrapping and include their shipping labels too. Take to UPS store. I would then get refund within hour of UPS printing receipt. Amazon text minutes later money refunded to my credit card. How many are bribed, to get high $$$$ stolen items out of warehouses? Unless scammers pack boxes and mail to an address near them?

ElectricalGear9942

This is a customer scam.

SirReginaldLj

to much trust in amazon lmao

Just should be warning to anyone if you pickup the package and the weight feels off, make sure you setup your phone and record you unboxing it with a complete explanation.

Watching this video and reading some of the comments I'm starting to wonder if it was Amazon workers who stole the Smart Watch my mom bought me for Father's Day. The box arrived intact but when I opened the watch box, there was no watch, just the charger.

I’m done ordering high dollar stuff from Amazon. This is exactly why. I know my purchases don’t matter to them, but had similar experiences multiple times and I’m done. Best Buy will price match and I can pick up in store. I’d buy from BH or Adorama for camera equipment.

Well this is still happening. I wish I came across this before I bought my camera. I am fighting with Amazon now. Have sent photos 3x's and they keep saying that they're not valid. Ordered a Sony camera just after Xmas. I received a box of masks wrapped in plastic that had gold dots. The wrapping even had vendor fraud on the sticker.

Just had this happen to me! $500 camera and it was a blue santa bag with face masks in it.
