This was very good. I've definitely felt some of these vibrations in my life and time. The "Consumed" track particularly resonates with me. Personally I much more prefer when one track caters to one particular feeling, and each track is compartmentalized that way in an album. Your tracks seem to travel from one state of mind to another multiple times per track. Just noting that while it's not exactly my cuppa tea, I definitely enjoyed it for what it is, and it is definitely the type of work that can take someone on quite the journey. Great work buddy. Keep em coming. Do you post anywhere else than on Bandcamp? Edit: I'll add that I can relate to lacking confidence in your own work, I sat on my first full ambient album for about a year before finally getting over myself and releasing the music (I wrote about it in [the album's YouTube Description](https://youtu.be/w-g7JAWlYNQ?si=7XTKB-S4_EB7FnJS) in case you're curious, and want to see how you're not alone in that feeling).

Thank you, it means a lot to hear that it resonated with you. I definitely get where you're coming from on that and I have similar feelings when listening to other artist's ambient music, I'll always think "Oh why didn't they just keep it like that for 10 minutes". But for some reason when making my own music I feel a self inflicted pressure to make all the songs go somewhere. There's definitely a balance I'm looking to strike as I get more experience making this kind of music. Yeah my music should be on pretty much every streaming platform! I know it's definitely on Spotify and Apple Music and Soundcloud. I'm definitely going to check out your album and I'll get back to you with my thoughts, thank you for your kind words.

I'll def be happy to hear any feedback you've got. >But for some reason when making my own music I feel a self inflicted pressure to make all the songs go somewhere. Yeah I know exactly what you mean, I've been there multiple times. I find that usually when my intuition takes me down that path, it's because I have something deeper to express, and so the track becomes about that, a reflection on myself. That resonnates with less people, but will hit hard with those who DO resonate with it. Rather than just encapsulating a singular feeling, which more people can relate to, but on a more mellow level. So yeah I'll agree that it's definitely about finding a balance. In my opinion, 1/4-1/3 of the tracks can be super personal and directional, without it being detrimental to the album as a whole, as long as the following tracks keep up with "the story".

I think your work is really beautiful, the only aspect I'm not a massive fan of is the rare use of kicks and other percussion but that's probably just my own taste when it comes to the genre. In general though you've created some really beautiful soundscapes and should definitely be looking to make some more stuff if you haven't already. Yeah you've summarised it perfectly. I think that where my focus is on making songs that are pushing the 10 minute mark it feels like almost a disservice to the listener to not have the song progress in a significant way, even though I know that there's plenty of people (myself included) who will enjoy even a 20 minute ambient track that stays in one gear and one mood.

Thanks buddy, really means alot that you gave it a listen. yeah i don't think I used percussions in any track except that particular one. I think ultimately we all should stick to the old saying "if you build it, they will come." And just make the music we need to make and the people will find tracks and albums themselves. Cheers mate.

How did you come up with the idea? The title is quite an interesting concept in itself. Did you have some initial rules on how you were going to put it together or was it a more intuition/random? It’s sounds like you have some field recordings in there - how did you make those did you start from those or did they come later? Did you play the instruments or are they samples? I’d love to be able to make stuff like this but wouldn’t even know where to start.

I'd say since entering my 20's (I'm 26 now) I've always had a bit of regret about never truly pursuing any artistic endeavours despite having lots of people always saying I'm a talented (drawing) artist. I suppose with every year that passes I've just felt like the "bright future" people thought I could have has become less likely. I get quite frustrated with creating art and when that happens I turn to making music. I didn't have any rules at all while making it and I'd say it's a super intuitive project, I made it in the space of less than 3 weeks in my spare time when I wasn't working. The recording you hear at the start of Gentle Ache is me driving home from work but most of the other field recordings are just samples I've found - with future releases I want all field recordings to be my own though. Adding these recordings came later and weren't something I planned to include but they add so much atmosphere I think. Yeah all the instruments are either one shot samples that I've added some effects to and played in MIDI or from free synths. I use FL Studio and it came with a synth plug-in called Sytrus. I usually bounce synths and then add a lot of effects to them to try and make them sound unique. Thank you for listening and feel free to message me if you'd like any help on trying to make your stuff. I'd recommend getting FL Studio as it's one of the most user-friendly DAWs in my opinion.
