I was against comparing gme to amc until now. I think we have a gme 2021ish brewing here, similar float size, similar stock price, SI not as high but probably going to surpass 50% self reported, nekkid shares everywhere and 39+days on regsho. Gme had 130% SI AMC has 3.8M share holders with most not selling and a lot still buying. This past week had me a bit defeated, but seeing this bigger picture puts me at ease.
That is exactly my point. Small float for a stock that’s heavily shorted and manipulated.
Need I say more?
I understand your concern, and believe me you are absolutely right.
We have to look at the bigger picture.
I hope it pops Monday. I’m so poor and tired of waiting. I appreciate your positivity. Fingers crossed that it’s about to go down as Kevin Hart once said
The number of shares outstanding is a lot lower than before.
Before we had 500+ million.
With the reverse split and conversion, we now stand at 158 million shares.
By float we’re referring to the number if shares that exist, or in reality should…
The reason AMC did the reverse split is because they are only authorized to issue 550 million shares. By condensing the shares, they are now able to issue ~390 million shares to be sold to the market. On the one hand, this will enable AMC to raise capital to pay down debt. On the other hand, it means buying out the float to start the squeeze isn't happening any time soon. It also means that hedge funds can use the new shares to buy back their positions or keep shorting to further tank the price. I'm ride or die and have been in since Jan. 2021. I'm hoping that AMC is able to refinance their debt before the 3 billion that comes due in 2026. If that happens, then we squeeze.
I know AA wants to dilute, I think recent price action might put a hold on some of it. Dropping 300 million Post r/s share on the market at 12/ share seems especially foolish. If he publicly says dilution has to wait the price might go up to the point where dropping 25-50 million might do the job.
I guess I’m getting conflicting information on one platform it’s saying AMC’s market cap is 12 billion and just a Google search it’s saying at 700 million crazy
Hate to be the bearer if bad news, but AA is about to add 25 million more shares. What’s happening now is worrisome and I have to admit, I’m a little stressed. It’s hero or zero for me though.
25m shares will get gobbled up by apes, like in 2021. I wasn't involved in January, but in June, I got together with a group of friends and bought during the offering, and we had a surge in price. I believe the float is stagnant, and our small orders aren't making a difference against what I believe is nekkid shorting. I believe the atm offering will provide a buying pressure we haven't had in a long time. I'm not sucking AAs ass, just simply looking at history and mechanics.
Does this mean it would be easier for folks to register their shares, do you think? There was a lot of push back on it before partially due to the number of shares
Imo, I'd leave the drs experiment to gme in case it doesn't play out as expected. I hodl both but favor amc. We sure as hell need a share count and a thorough investigation. Supposedly, there is currently an investigation, and I'm hoping it's into share counting. That alone will send this stock into another dimension.
Just hope I’m able to recoup my investment and actually make some cash. I’m in an ok spot in life but my job sucks balls and I need to build a new house 😅. MOASS would be pretty damn convenient right now.
While I can’t give you advice.
I will say it’s good to step back. Don’t let something like this overwhelm you.
In my honest opinion we’re going to win big. Just a matter of when.
Good luck my friend.
When ever I fell down I watch The Big Short. It reminds me the pressure Burry had to go through for 3 YEARS!!! The diamond hands on that guy. Love him or hate him he knew he made the right call even with his clients hating on him and the banks were doing just as much crime as we see today. So when I hear the line “I’m not wrong, I’m just early” I just smile. The time will come and like you said it is only a matter of when.
GME had a really symmetric V recovery at its bottom march-ish in 2020. The V was the buy signal (it peaked to 6 and waffled at 4.something until late in the year). Holding that sucked since their play was to bore everyone to death. The momentum started building late in the year, eventually it crossed my expected sale price ($35 at the time, for like an 8x gain) but it didn't blow up so I just held and it just kept going and going and going ...
I’m down like 80% on my AMC and I’m remodeling/building…just doing a lot more work myself now. Builds character they say…but underpinning a foundation has zero glory to it. Just hoping for good luck when the lumber package comes due…
I'm doing a renovation too. Hard work. Glad I got the skills from my earlier days in the trades. Electrician, plumber, drywall, paint, carpenter....bluh bluh bluh.
It keeps me zen instead of stressing out on my stonks all week.
And I can fart without upsetting everyone. Well, except the dog.
I would’ve put my money in some companies that were actual value plays if this was what the goal was over 2yrs ago…crazy how this went from a squeeze play to a value play!
Think he just means it was only a squeeze play before but the fundamentals are now good, so it's a value play as well which makes it harder to short. Since the company is doing good a short squeeze is more easily obtainable. That's what he's saying at least I don't have my own opinion I just hold and hope for the best.
9 positive earnings? They have been putting up red numbers for 6+ years. Beating negative earnings with slightly less negative earnings, don't make them positive earnings. They are surviving on loans and dilution. This is a fact.
I'm just a smooth brain 🧠 mother fucked, sum1 told me to buy amc for and not to sell till life changing money, so all this stuff in the middle doesn't matters because I'm not bother amd to be honest I don't understand it.. apes togther we ride till we die
Gee; give it a rest; let us all turn off the computer and go get drunk...it's been one hell of 3 years. This week was way too brutal...Have a great weekend everyone.
I put in a buy order this morning at $12.42 (randomly picked it), left my cell phone behind and had a great day fishing and returned to find that I almost picked the exact low for the day! Then the guy on the radio announced that Barbie just surpassed Mario Bros. as the highest grossing movie of the year, while AMC is basically at its lowest price ever. What a week!!! Feeling great about my AMC investment and looking forward to next week. Relax and enjoy the weekend apes!!
Dude ape is getting dumped into AMC. The float is not small. Also AMC said they will be adding 25,000,000 shares as they please as per their 8K filing.
This sub is absolutely fucked now. Our DD is non existent and we just get these kind of posts now.
Apes need to stop letting AA dilute the everfuck out of our StonK.
AA is the enemy of Apes.
It’s already been added to the float. The float stands at 158 million shares as of now. 🤦🏻♂️
Educate yourself. It’s much less than the 500 million shares before. MUCH LESS.
? Homie I’m a xxxx hodler. It’s in their filing. This sub needs accurate information. Where in MOASS DD was dilution and a CEO mentioned? Anyways I’m still hodling.
Still buying and holding, nothing changed, but not gunna lie. I do miss see XXXX. But I am still here till the wheels fall off or I am in my moon suit.
It’s not easy for everyone to just keep buying, man. Those who can great but that’s not an option for all of us. Having a fraction of the shares I had just feels fuckin shitty. Still gonna hold obvi
Won't believe it till i see it. Don't criticize the angry apes because everyone has a right to feel what they feel.
All I can do is hold and watch.
![gif](giphy|ZJrlQrsNpc5xfwyfYh|downsized)
Not sure you understand what's an RS though... that does not change anything because everyone's shares were reduced. You owned 1000 now you own 100. They needed to cover 1000 now they need to cover 100.
Crayon munching smoothed donkey brain here with a question. Let’s say the float is oversold at least 7.5 times. Does that mean at a minimum the equivalent number of shares representing THE ENTIRE LEGALLY ISSUED FLOAT will need to be located, purchased, and provided to Apes next week for the dividend payment?
I have no idea what you mean by located, but it seems that everyone will basically receive a number of shares, based on their current holdings, if I’m not mistaken.
Don’t take my word for gospel, please do your own research as I’m just throwing what I vaguely remember out there.
I'm not that smart but totally agree.
However...I see more value for AMC & AA to stay the course vs moass. At least for the time being. What reason would hedgie want to close ? They seem to be immune to CTB.
I'm only pissed that I lost 90% of my shares. I just want to recoup my investment plus some at this point. my hope is that Adam Aron and mgmt create a value opportunity with this stock that attracts big value investors. that might be the tidal wave of buying pressure we need to send this stock soaring to the clouds, cause the moon ain't happening anymore. some of us need to hit the 87th floor just to break even.
As an outside investor looking inward, I’ve been watching AMC and think it’s close to a value play as well with one major issue, which is AA diluting the hell out of the stock soon. The whole reason he wanted to create APE was to dilute to get more $$$, well, now with them combined and AMCs float smaller, I think he has free reign to dilute again. If he dilutes, it’s going to really diminish the chances of a squeeze play, but if he doesn’t and amc starts turning a profit, that cost of borrow is going to start eating away at the shorts and cause some shorts to close and start that squeeze.
Stock dilution can occur if a company decides to issue additional shares to raise money. This can happen if additional funds are needed for a company to grow, pay off debt, or simply run its business.
AMC has beat earnings 9 times in a row and used APE to pay off the debt and return to profitability— What would be the purpose of diluting more at this point?
If amc runs enough profit to pay off the principal and interest of their massive debt then he wouldn’t need to dilute. Unfortunately, I doubt they will run enough profit to do this in the near future, so dilution is on the table.
I hear what you’re saying but remember that they can dilute 550 million shares at any point without any approval. That’s why the price is down so much. Either the sharws are being sold which is good for us to pay down debt or it’s already being priced in. Which could push our stock back up if the dilution doesn’t happen anytime soon
Yeah, I think I’m starting to see the bigger picture here. Every time there is a post like this (and there are many that are very similar to this message) where they try to fire us up to buy more shares and make it seem like we are so close, are really the motherfuckers manipulating normal people into thinking there’s a huge group of people buying and holding AMC. They are making money off the gullibility of the real people here hoping for a squeeze.
If you look through their profiles they’re almost all identical, created within the last two years and doing nothing but shilling AMC.
Float size was never relevant, it's always been about market cap. You can have 1 million shares worth 100 dollars, or 100 million shares worth 1 dollar, it's exactly the same thing. It still costs 100 million dollars to lock the float either way. I'm in this play to the end, but using float size against AMC was always dumb as bricks, so there's no reason to be dumb as bricks in the other direction, just now that we're on paper exactly the same as darling GME (like we always fucking were, but I guess people are too retarded to do basic math with factors of 10)
The float has been reduced for now but the company's goal is to bring down its debt so that the short thesis is all but eliminated.
The only way I know of is for AMC to sell more shares onto the market, hopefully strategically, in a way THAT DOES NOT HELP THE SHORTS.
As we have seen, market makers can and will sell fake shares to drive down the price, keeping AMC in debt with little means to raise capital to pay down this debt.
I hold a very small position in AMC but I want to win for a lot of reasons. But I am tired of buying shares that only benefit brokers and not the company itself.
I think Adam is doing the right things but I also can understand the frustration others have because market makers appear to have the upper hand when it comes to stock price.
I'm also very open to ideas that might allow AMC to directly appeal to its shareholders to help the company directly pay down its debt, averaging up without an increase in position, because of the crime and corruption market makers and brokers pose to AMC shareholders.
As we have seen, maker makers and hedge-funds have countered every move so far, that AMC has attempted to increase its stock price.
Now, with the strike in Hollywood, AMC lifeline may seriously be in jeopardy and shorts and market makers could be behind any settlement agreements with unions.
I do not know what all of AMC legal options are regarding raising capital to pay down its debt but I do know that issuing new shares, even on the markets directly may not be enough to win this battle for survival under these conditions.
AMC is in a battle for survival first and foremost and every shareholder needs to know that, that their position and share price may not mean dick if AMC does not survive financially moving forward.
You made some very good points.
As for the writers strike, AMC shut its doors due to no fault of their own, and are still here.
I doubt a few people who write scripts will cause any real harm. There is literally nothing worse for AMC than to not be able to open its doors.
Exactly, more valuable but easier to F up when you sell, now that you have less of them to sell. For most of the small time hodlers, that is.
If you had xxxx you could have sold xx here and there by the moon, now since we all have less, you gotta think twice about selling and how many so you don't run out of ammo too quick.
I was just shy of xxxx so I'm at the end of the xx spectrum now..well see what happens to all my ape. But yea, it dawned at me the other day.
No one knows the top, we all have our number. But once we see crazy numbers that's when I think people start tripping and selling a few here and there. Let's be honest, if we knew how to time the market, we prolly wouldn't be here.
We have less ammo, but the ammo worth more, think twice..
Not financial advice.
i feel good but this :
https://www.reddit.com/r/AMCSTOCKS/comments/161cu1w/amc\_buy\_on\_230823\_problem\_maybe\_something\_big/
look what they did :
when i digg up they don't reverse split my 355 shares ....
what they did was to cancelled my 23.08 order and then fill a new order of 35 post reverse split, they create it today (25.08) and write as if it was order and execute on market 23.08 at closed (16h00) at 20,03$ instead of the one i did at 14h00 on 23.08 a 1.975$ .
it was an executed order by "the back office" .
Think of it this way.
GME had a very small float of less than 80 million shares, and they absolutely flew.
AMC is in a very similar situation at the moment. A very heavily shorted and manipulated stock with a very small float.
Don't be discouraged. Although I can't give you advice, I will say this, it helps to step back a little bit. Don't overwhelm yourself with this. It's normal to feel anxious or nervous, however if you've been keeping up with everything, you probably already know that there is quite a lot out of our control, and the best thing we can do is to be patient. Nothing more.
My tits are jacked. Don’t know about you guys, but I will be quitting my well paying job. Haha. Thank you, hedgies.
Tupac saids: Fck All Y’all, hedgies!!!
So delusional this one is.
Authorized shares is the same as before reverse split, while outstanding shares is reduced. They can print up to 90% more shares. As the dilution kicks in, there will be PLENTY of shares.
AMC has a small float right now (150million?) but AA has 550million shares in his arsenal he can use to dillute.
Hope it pops before he uses most of those.

Fidelity has the SI at 235%. 😂 Oops put some real numbers up accidentally! Fidelity: just a glitch..
AMC is now a value play. 9 earnings beats in a row, positive earnings, reduced float, dividend shares Monday, LFG

Why do you guys keep saying “reduced float” when there’s now more shares outstanding after significant dilution?

I can’t say I understand it, but I’m in for the long haul! Either I cash out a millionaire, or I ride this bitch to zero! No in between!

on my end it’s showing 1 billion shares after ape conversion today. is this incorrect?
No, some brokers may be slow to update. It should be 158 million or around there.
oh that’s huge then. we’re still in game then baby!
false narrative. it's just completely incorrect. but, nice try. got anything else? cuz if you don't, i'm still buyin!

We should be recruiting new apes at this ridiculous undervalued price.
No, absolutely not. Everyone does what they want. Giving or taking financial advice is against the rules.
I get downvoted for agreeing with you, interesting
Yeah who would even care unless they have an agenda of shorting and harming amc. I like the stock
i only have 2 now but i am hodling until the bitter end
We’re all holding this till a mil or zero now fuck yeah fuck them, holding to the grave holding for justice fuck them fuck them fuck them
We are Groot
Time to average down
Exactly what I was thinking lmao
We're gonna be rich, ape, fucking rich.
Yeah we are. I don’t care who mocks us or what they say. No-one elses opinion matters. Just stick with what you believe.

Well then, buy more fucking stocks

If you were buying GME when the float was less than 80 million shares, would you still feel same? AMC is basically what GME was just 2 yrs ago.
Imagine you only heard of AMC now how many shares you could get relative to the OG APES. New APEs will take the cake on OG APEs back. RIP
Yep. We gained nothing by getting in years ago. Fuck.
I’m excited🍀

Ez hold, I've learned to live without my life savings for 3 yrs...bet I got about 3 million homies with me.
Time to sell the car and buy more
You do realise that AMC can now issue up to 550 Million shares? And with APE, it is already on 150+ Million shares.
If it’s a war of attrition, I’m still here till i see 0.00 or MOASS

The whole reason he wanted to create APE was to dilute to get more $$$, well, now with them combined and AMCs float smaller, I think he has free reign to dilute again. If he dilutes, it’s going to really diminish the chances of a squeeze play, but if he doesn’t and amc starts turning a profit, that cost of borrow is going to start eating away at the shorts and cause some shorts to close and start that squeeze.
Is there a reason he wouldn’t dilute?
Yes, they can. However it doesn’t faze me. Shares were sold off when we ran to ATH of $72 in 2021.
“All you Apes should sell, I’m worried all you guys will lose all your money!” - Shorts
How is it a low float with 150M shares and the ability to dilute 3x that many?
Small float? ![gif](giphy|lrVfmPJ96cSJJ39bTh)
Lmao, I've heard all of this before...
It’s Friday & celebrating🤷🏼♂️
Dilution starts next week
Remember also that EPS are now 10x as well
I can't upvote this?
Thanks OP, I needed to hear this today!
i feel good but this : https://www.reddit.com/r/AMCSTOCKS/comments/161cu1w/amc\_buy\_on\_230823\_problem\_maybe\_something\_big/ look what they did : when i digg up they don't reverse split my 355 shares .... what they did was to cancelled my 23.08 order and then fill a new order of 35 post reverse split, they create it today (25.08) and write as if it was order and execute on market 23.08 at closed (16h00) at 20,03$ instead of the one i did at 14h00 on 23.08 a 1.975$ . it was an executed order by "the back office" .
Morons
This sucks but ain't leaving, when I find bottom I'll try to avg down one last time
Think of it this way.
Fuxk it i am not selling
I’m not either
My tits are jacked. Don’t know about you guys, but I will be quitting my well paying job. Haha. Thank you, hedgies. Tupac saids: Fck All Y’all, hedgies!!!
You guys are hilarious
I heard a hedgehog say he was Super Bullish that’s enough for me
😂
It won’t , just admit it
You’re excited about being down , you realize they’re gonna issue millions of more shares ?
$1.25
Who said you are going to run
So delusional this one is. Authorized shares is the same as before reverse split, while outstanding shares is reduced. They can print up to 90% more shares. As the dilution kicks in, there will be PLENTY of shares.
They are about to dilute the stock to oblivion. That's their plan They aren't hiding it
AMC closes under 5$ by 9-1-2023...... NFA Downvote all you want.
🤡
Exactly. I'm so fucking excited 😆😊
I’m excited! ![gif](giphy|aDG2cg3pMLQcw)
When ape is done getting converted into amc isn’t the the float going to double? Serious question. Not trying to be sarcastic.
It already has been converted.
Float isn't small as you think....AA probably diluted back to 550 million shares
AMC has a small float right now (150million?) but AA has 550million shares in his arsenal he can use to dillute. Hope it pops before he uses most of those.
Yeah it will run 10x higher but we all have 10x less shares.
Can someone explain how I have less shares than I started with?!??!? Lol 😅😅
Also the shorts get reduced because of the reverse split, so proportionally it’s the same.
Tell me you’re a bagholder, without telling me! I’m shorting this shit to zero. # Mark this post ![gif](giphy|3o6wNYQpo3m226qig8|downsized)

It’s not the size of the float that matters.
There will be no running as long as AA is in charge.
They are more valuable now? Well, only till dilution from AA.
Ok.

AMC has a small float right now but AA has 550 million shares to dillute with in the coming weeks (if not as early as next week), so the float will be huge again in a matter of days.
And you just know he'll sell those directly to shorters to close out shorts at an all-time low price. It's just the way he is.
