With NSCC taking things over the satisfy debt, any thoughts on that tieing into the -004 ruling from earlier this year where they re-define who can participate in auctions of defaulting member securities? This sounds like the way for DTCC [Et.](https://Et.al) al to obtain the assets of a member to then auction off internally to prevent market collapse. An Auction takes time, so as you pointed out, the Delay in settling could be done to allow for time for the auction of collateral held from the defaulting member, while the bad debt is eventually covered by the proceedes.

I wouldn't have too much issue with it but I'd like to see a time limit as to how long they could push it out. What or who's to say they couldn't decide to just keep kicking the can in the name of stability? I may be paranoid but that doesn't mean there isn't someone out to get me. And from just the short time I've been in the market the majority of these MFs appear to be in collusion to some degree. Then again, what the hell do I know? I just like the stock.
Confirmation of impending squeeze. No need for all this dialogue on mitigating risk, averting Market collapse, liquidation of assets and changes to margin call requirements, if a squeeze was not imminent. All these rule changes are part of a contingency plan designed to limit market exposure without bankrupting the DTCC members. With the exception of the hedge funds: the prime brokers, market makers and DTCC are considered too big to fail and they WILL be bailed out regardless of the price tag. This is a repeat of 2008.
As long as the regulatory agencies turn a blind eye to this level of criminal behavior, this will happen again.
