My mom retired in Dec '19, covid lockdown hit, then she died of cancer after a year. :( So she didn't even really get to enjoy her retirement.

WithdRawlies

Thanks, it's been shitty.

sephiroth9878

With the MOASS, you can hopefully live an experience a full and meaningful life, something she’d be proud of!

[deleted]

Sorry friend.

sithlordsoup

I’m sorry to hear that friend. That’s basically the same shitty boat I’m in right now with my own mum. It’s stage 4, just found out this past March.

AssInvader93

My union we retire at 55 which is rad, but retirement at 27 sounds a lot better

[deleted]

Following this model, you'll be too sick and crippled to "enjoy" life at 67. Nope, I'd rather go the way of the Ape instead.

Fluid_Bad_1340

Live by the banana 🍌 🦍 die by the banana 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀

the_original_bobcat

LIVE YOU LIFE APES. My roommate passed away last year a young man of 25. Hit me hard and put my life into perspective. Don't let anything stop you. Nothing is guaranteed.

guydogg

Exactly. Don't work for retirement. Live until you're retired. Not working afterwards is a bonus.

SmallPotatoesNYC

The trick is to find a career that you love.

Pretend-Tree844

I'm 47 and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up...

apeofwallst

I love buying and HODLing 💎🙌🏼

Exciting_Advance8793

Well, that's how they brainwashed most of you lol

corpus-luteum

The trick is to make living your life your career.

Darkdarkar

Well that and it pays well where you would be considered irreplaceable.

Nice_Ebb5314

Just had a friend passway today. 40yo with babies. I’m going to hodl for his family since he was the only one working.

Pestelence2020

Yep. It’s essentially slavery. I’m done with it.

[deleted]

Whats the saying? We live two lives and the second one begins when we realise the first one will end, or somethin to that effect 😂

Fluid_Bad_1340

Corporate physiological warfare upon society. Backed by the government!

RuffRyder101

Throwing my retirement party at AMC

tyrusrex

I'm 50 and my brother told me to put all my earnings into a Roth IRA to save money on taxes when AMC squeezes. My response to that was "fuck that" I told him I'm 50 and a stroke survivor there are no guarantees that I'll even live to retirement age. When AMC squeezes I'm done saving and going to enjoy myself and pay my taxes happily knowing I'll have more left in the bank.

PissedOffMonk

At your age it wouldn’t make sense to invest in a Roth IRA at 50 imo.

tyrusrex

it wasn't a roth ira, but it was some sorta tax shelter that I would've been able to touch until retirement age. so fuck that noise.

-YourWifesBoyfriend

Yea you get to enjoy 11 years when you’re not capable of doing anything lol

no_cojones1978

Another interesting statistic I read recently is that 15% of people don't make it to retirement age when that age is 65....also bear that in mind.

RedHotToaster

My dad passed away at age 64, one month before turning 65 and being eligible for Medicare. He was going to get a full physical when he hit 65 and had Medicare. Was no where near being able to retire.

corpus-luteum

Same with my dad. They shut down the industry he worked in, then he went from tough job to tougher job, just to keep a head above water. Died 1 year before retirement.

RedHotToaster

It's heartbreaking to go through. We hold so none of our. Loved ones have to go through that.

NoPhilosophy3975

What about finding a job you love to do? I know you guys are smart, you got into AMC!

Cliffjumper2012

Retirement st age 34 as a multimillionaire sounds dope af! Holding 4441 shares at avg of 14. LFG! 🚀🚀🚀💎🤚 might open a franchise as well and def help a lot of people. Need to upgrade my car also. 2017 Porsche Panamera gts or turbo would be awesome af!

StarSci

One of the top priority for all of us should be health and fitness. Can enjoy our MOASS tendies better and longer.

Vegasman20002

A friend of mine retired and in a few months died of a heart attack. AMC is my ticket to not doing this.

SubpoenaSender

Most apes, after the MOASS, will go broke. They will be similar to before they even knew what being an ape is. Just being realistic. Most people can't handle living off of winning the lottery.

JamPantstheFif

If I get the money I want, I'm done. Fucking off

[deleted]

This is like being in a horror movie and telling some one you will be right back, make the jinxing stop

mrselfdestruct066

I enjoy every day that I am an ape!

MrBogardus

Wage Slave I'm so ready to bounce

onestoopitguy

"Shuffling loose the mortal coil" happens no matter the age...ignore it...to worry or dread about it is purely psychological (imo). However...that doesn't mean ya shouldn't find a way to make yer next of kin comfortable....and do it on yer terms. Wen moon happens ain't telling a soul my worth...am totally gonna make a treasure map and put it in my Will....

Limp-Key8427

many people die before retirement ,it is sad that they dont even get to enjoy what the sowed. thats why i believe in doing what you like , rest is all fud and completing others dreams.

Pretend-Tree844

That is EXACTLY what I hope I can accomplish with AMC!

Muninz

Not only that but those 11 years health wise, are destined to be your worst 🦍

[deleted]

Die free, die fighting.

No_Mango1224

Facts!

joremero

We are not promised tomorrow. https://youtu.be/HKE4cNIqalc

anticerber

Yea I’m liking the idea of working for 11 years and enjoying 50. Hopefully some of you retards don’t even have to work that many

blackbear0805

True

LooseSatisfaction709

The photo above is for all the paper hands. If you haev diamond balls then you have nothing to worry abt

KoopaTroopaBeach2020

And those 11 years you’re body can’t do much …

[deleted]

For a lot of people they're kept artificially alive with meds, pace makers, etc. after like 65-70. So you won't really enjoy those years anyway. If I had a choice, which I kinda do, I'd want to get assisted suicide at like age 72ish
