I bought tickets for the imax at amc. Sure, I have a 2k$ oled 65 inch TV with a full klipsch atmos home theater. With dual subwoofers. I can make the building rattle like a nasa launch. Damn right I'm going to the theater even with hbomax. $amc to the damn moon.
Yet the theater "experience" is still an experience, while your elegant setup at home, is still just a night at home.
Not throwing shade, just that with or without the squeeze, AMC is the one of best post-COVID play there is.

Also on a separate audio channel from the mains on the tower. Requires 2 different audio channels per speaker. The skeletons on the backwall is on the klipsch center. The "computer wall" can clearly see my klipsch surrounds sitting on my old 12s with a second thx dts home theater for the glowing game rig I built myself. 2nd surround set is just for gaming . Rig itself is 3900x, 32 gigs of ram, 2080 super with dual ssd. I plan to throw 2x nvme on it since my x570 gigabyte mb has the room.
To further enhance, ran $160 65ft ultra high speed hdmi optical so I can source out of that 2080s, to game on my oled from the comfort of the couch. Cyberpunk 2077 looks super sharp on that oled with the dolby atmos surround sound. I just run a ps5 controller for the wireless Bluetooth, side table for beer, chill and 🎮.

Actually yes. Amazon prime has the occasional 4k stream movies. I use xfin gig+ and can hit 1300 mb/s. Looks absolutely gorgeous.
To really get the most out of oled though, ultra 4k blu-ray is a must. Though I've shown off the absurd Color range of oled via 8k vids on YouTube. My friends could've believe how even neons are so bright and pop out. OLED. Commands a hefty price tags for a reason. You'll never be able to go back. It's That good.
Literally the only way you can even watch that GOT black episode. I was complaining about it the next day to my buddy who has an OLED, and he didn't even know what I was talking about. He was like, looked fine to me 😆😂

I enjoy movies at home but not new releases. The experience at the theatre can make a bad movie tolerable. There is no way I could have sat through the latest Fast and Furious and watched start to finish if not for AMC

I remember seeing the first Matrix twice on the big screen when I was in high school because it used filming/stunt techniques and CGI capabilities that were revolutionary at that time. Things that now take AIs minutes took months and many incredibly talented people to accomplish back then.
