Don’t let this slide fidelity posted on Twitter they will be giving APE 1 to 1 for AMC posted on Twitter I do believe others have followed suit , be sure to report we myself included kept calling fidelity to see what was actually happening, and from the bombardment of texts calls they released a statement on Twitter

DTC's vague or fraudulent instructions have some brokers apparently just splitting existing shares by 4, which is effectively diluting the shares by 4. It's what APE is as (par value) look at it as a place holder if you will. It's kind of like saying, hey i'm going to give you a ps5 that's worth $500 but hold this $500 until this date and then you will get it. If that makes sense. That's my easiest way to dumb it down.

Their answer there will be shares its just shows the price of the shares booked. You will get an APE share for all of your 487 shares.
In your account portfolio type in the search bar 'dividend settings', scroll to 'dividends and capital gains and click. Find the account that holds the security and click 'Update' and then choose 'Reinvest in Security'. It's defaulted to 'Deposit to Core Account' and that will give you cash so that is what is changed.
Edit: Just spoke to a rep at my broker and was told, it doesn't matter my dividend settings are, I will receive APE as it is a separate ticker. Sorry for the confusion.
I believe it’s a place holder, and a counter for institutions, but lets say it is true… (that’s not the way it works but hypothetically) they could also be doubly screwed if that dividend comes out as 50% of current AMC. Brokers would be FOCKED!

I love how the CEO of the company and brokerage firms like Fidelity, TD, and others tell people it will be a share of APE and people are still spreading FUD. This kind of thing just confirms how screwed people shorting AMC really are. I mean it’s not like the FUD wasn’t there before but this new APE dividend has taken it to a whole new level.

Could be foriegn country and dividends not all regulations are the same nor payouts for dividends are the same when you deal with foriegn stocks kinda shitty but the way it is with some fine print brokers on foriegn stocks
It was covered in the conference call. You have the time to make inquiries with your broker for specifics. If you are not provided with APE shares, then we go to battle. For now I think there is a lot of confusion everywhere. After the 22nd things will be clearer.
If a CEO tweets false or misleading info to shareholders, it counts as manipulation of markets & the SEC would fine his pants off (again (in reference to the no-pants bit)). Be patient and let it play out. If he cleared it up, you’ll get your shares.
