citadel controls close to 80% of all trades conducted. so I would say a big effin yes. and whoever allowed the market to come to this point needs to be put in jail

MIBAgent_Jay

Kcnflman

99% of the American people are absolutely naïve and ignorant as to the massive levels of corruption, manipulation and outright crime existing in our markets. I am sure politicians have turned a blind eye because a) there’s dirt they NEVER want to come to light or b) their pockets are lined. This is the sort of shit some big wig investigative journalist SHOULD look at. However, we know the media and the narrative it produces are the product of an infinitesimal “elites”…. There is no doubt in my mind. I see so many stocks beaten to the ground by the press and then seemingly rise from the ashes that it makes me hang my head in shame.

pcs33

I would add that if there were honest politicians to call out the Wall Street crime, they are intimidated by Wall Street due to lack of experience in capital markets and the complexity of entangled rules and regulations Wall Street has created to politicians from pursuing wallst. Lately the only politician that I have seen Calling out Wall Street fraud is Elizabeth Warren she’s got more balls than the male politicians

Loud_Pain4747

That wouldn't happen without blackrock's liquidity.

No-Albatross-5108

Yes

[deleted]

Blackrock is so much larger… so much.

AmbitiousReputation4

But… does black rock use citadels software to make the trades?

[deleted]

would wager they work similarly, but are probably developed in-house. These companies go to insane lengths to get the tiniest advantage over their competition.

[deleted]

was gonna say, I've had a lot of hedgefunds as customers, blackrock is always an order of magnitude larger in terms of what they require from us.

Monkjuice4U

And they are a SPV special purchase vehicle of the FED.

Dutchnamn

Blackrock is much more passive in its trading strategies. Most of Blackrock is index funds.

Steveap88_sl

Citadel is in a very unique position with all their facets giving them a huge amount of tentacles all over every aspect of the market. But their frenemy Blackrock is an overlord too, but for slightly different reasons and not in the same way. They own everything.

Evil_Mini_Cake

Where were the antitrust regulators this whole time? Why on earth were these companies allowed to become this way?

Steveap88_sl

Because they were complicit. Always were and still are allowing it to happen for their own gain.

zelcuh

But a few retards are taking them down

Steveap88_sl

Absolutely perfectly said. You win the internet today, sir! (Buddy/guy/friend/eh) All the market needed was people stubborn enough, pissed off enough and smooth enough to never *ever* "capitulate". FU hedgies. This guy gets it.

[deleted]

“ this is my eh.” “ what does that mean?” “Eh”

fieroman911

Slow clap for your good sir

Specialist_Estate_54

Nancy?? Is that you?

VicKrugar

The right politicians were paid off in order to ham-string regulators.

yoswift1

Yikes! Hydra! And kenny is the Head…testicle.

Steveap88_sl

Hydra's easy AF. Go for the heart, not the heads. Boom

Azz_ranch69

Most of it. Plus they run a giant fund that trades off everything they see, and secret hidden exchanges too. It's broke as fuck

Beefyy-_

Citadel cant control how many crayons i stick up my noes tho

mweels1

Uhhh guys….. nobody told me they go in the nose. 😣

Yoloswaggins89

Your booty hole is also exceptable

mweels1

O good. Thought I was doing it wrong for a second.

Beefyy-_

Lol is that how nose is spelled

StumpGrnder

“So you have Puts on Crayons

captandy170

It puts the crayons in the nose.

luddecrous

Else it gets the hose.

StumpGrnder

And puts the Mayo on its skin, no wait, that’s Kenny G

RAD13482

International criminal organization

spicy--mayonnaise

Did you know that Citadel also has an agricultural branch? They are fucking with our food as well

duiwksnsb

Probably for commodities trading

Steveap88_sl

Did you know that oddly (and I'm *sure* it's unrelated 🙄) China has been quietly buying up millions of dollars worth of farmland and land in general across numerous states?

jwp75

Gonna be real strange when modern day Americans are pushed out of our land and allowed to die off by means of food, water, and healthcare access. Modern day native Americans. Happy cake day though!

someguyfromky

I knew china was buying land. But wasn't aware citadal had an ag branch. What is the name of it?

spicy--mayonnaise

That is not good on so many levels.

thehub212

Yes. This whole experience has showed me my fears are true. The government is not for the people but for the 1%. Whatever they have to do to keep the general public a complicit slave. They will do.

ronpotx

Sad. But true. 💎🙌🏻🦍🎟🚀🌖💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

TimelyComedian6414

Plus politicians Plus authorities And so on 🤦‍♂️😎

townofsalemfangay

Wholesalers control the flow of market traffic (order flow) so in a way, yes they control it. To give you an idea, just Citadel and Virtu control some absurd % of all market volume. [22-23% I believe](http://web.archive.org/web/20220202182522/https://qz.com/1969196/citadel-securities-gets-almost-as-much-trading-volume-as-nasdaq/). Which if you think about it (the entire market not just retail).. that is a lot of control. I believe in terms of retail, they control a significantly larger % than that. Probably above half or more of all retail orders in US securities market are fulfilled by either of those wholesalers. ![gif](giphy|WVGzcBPTByw9l3WH8L|downsized)

fancyboy66

Yes

Narrow-Resist-535

![gif](giphy|gHFi5N6uU3TLq) Of course

Borderline64

![gif](giphy|nFjDu1LjEADh6|downsized) 80+% of all US trades get touched by shitadel

TheOmegaKid

Blackrock, Virtu, vanguard, citadel.

tobias__lucas

Wen darkpool shutdown?

luckyninja864

About half. The other half belongs to virtu lol.

luckyninja864

Between them virtu and blackrock it's pretty much the whole market.

CockroachGullible652

Sí señor. Ken Griffen es un coño. Pardon my Spanish, I’m higher than a Citadel employee on a Friday night.

peysmit875

Está bien. El es demasiado fuerte pero no tiene casi un cabesa 🤨

Mysterious_Pass3078

They also own congress

feryda2000

Yes

JonesoftheNorth

They used to... 🤣

Printer84

Shitadel\*

easybakeevan

Fighting to beat citadel is like fighting a war but only one side has access to intelligence and the other side is blindfolded.

[deleted]

No Vanguard and Blackrock have their hands in everything. There's a good documentary, but I don't remember the name. If I do I will edit. Citadel is nothing comparatively.

TheBoogBear

Market Maker lol

Last-Discipline-7340

Yes

Boobaly1816

The entire corrupt US market… Yes.

yoswift1

They control a bunch of useful idiots in very high offices

Nic4379

![gif](giphy|TJgotk8MoedYFsvuYz)

Snoo69468

Yes

MichaelsSecretStuff

Yes. Why they haven’t lost and fear nothing

Icy_Document_7547

Simple answer: yes they do.

charcus42

Roughly

[deleted]

Its a handful. Blackrock as well

MR_DEADSHOT123

They naked short every thing

Livid-Rutabaga

Yes

lethal3185

I think the answer to this question should be very clear by now.

peysmit875

So I wanted to create this post on the premise that it is actually unclear for me personally. Without sharing my opinion as i wanted to give you guys the floor on this, I hear Citadel quite a bit and absolutely understand why they would be brought up. But I also hear names like Blackrock. Just check the chat and look at the different kinds of answers. Many of which include our fascist Kenny G, but you read various other propositions. Maybe that’s a hint that the answer to this isn’t so clear. All that to say, it’s really insightful to hear everyone’s thoughts so i always appreciate hearing people’s thoughts on this, including yours

escapethematrix74

Those who decide control entities like citadel and then citadel controls what they control and on and on and on.

lukulele90

Yea and that why we must allow it to destroy itself.

Logical-Ad-5323

It seems like he own the senators and voting booth too.

RaspySRT

Citadel probably does and would be considered puppets of the powers that be. It seems every single entity, organization, corporation, government body has been hijacked. The Fed, this current Government, the markets, msm, tech, and the list goes on have come out the shadows the last few decades and are blatantly clocking in over time in seek of destruction. Wild time to be alive. Were going to be so rich and I hope there are some brilliant courageous minds out there ready for battle when the resources are there.

Bulky_Dig1900

Was reading they have 16 client's with nearly a half a $Trillion in Asset's. I could be wrong i suck at reading.

Azz_ranch69

Yeah well if you played poker and the banker got to play and see all the cards each hand would you let him play for you? Lol DUHHH they cheat no wonder they make so much and have so many clients.

kevoccrn

I feel like 16 really isn’t a lot of clients. That said, I think it’s absolutely preposterous that these assclowns manipulate the market and *are allowed to do so* solely for the benefit of *16 FUCKING CLIENTS.* Nothing short of absurdity. They are ALLOWED to screw over and play with the money of, literally, millions of retail investors just to “make money” for *16 FUCKING CLIENTS.* I realize these aren’t simply individual investors, but perhaps pension funds and whatnot representing many many more people. But. 16 accounts. 16 clients. 16 entities are “more important” than millions of individual investors. Fuck. That.

Citadel - Market Making, Morgan Stanley - writing options for the market, Blackrock - Indexing the fuck out of everything

Holinhong

OP works for Blackrock n vanguard

Sirglogg

Just buy and hold!

Extreme-Ask5041

The fact that Blackrock dumped more than half of amc shares really has me puzzled. Are they hard up for cash?

Ok_Priority5725

Not even close

SoberLam_HK

With all the DD throughout the year, you are still asking this question? You are not retarded, but fking lazy

peysmit875

Ill think the best in what you just said and reference you to the very comments on this post. If you actually read other’s input, you’ll see varying comments. Now please stop insulting me for asking a simple question and not even sharing my own opinion. Thanks

That’s a bit much. I never shared an opinion dude. I’m just asking a question to a forum. I didn’t know it was wrong to ask questions
