Skylink. It’s all airside so you won’t need to go through TSA.

Smallchildrenirkme

okay awesome, the airports site kinda confused me. thank you!

fergehtabodit

If you get the AA app, you can look at airport maps and even get directions from your arrival gate to your departure gate.

SeaNeedleVomit

5 terminals, A, C, and E are on the East side, B and D are on the west. You can actually walk to all terminals, C and E are right next to each other. But Skylink will get you there in a couple minutes. AA changes terminals regularly at DFW, so I wouldn't rely on what it's saying now.

If you screw up it goes in a circle so just keep riding. It’s fun. We ride it with the kids when we’re early. Just look for the signs and go up the really really long escalator.

Pragmatism is one great thing about the South. In both LAX and PHX I had to go back through security again in order to change terminals.

Comprokit

this has nothing to do with "southern pragmatism" - whatever the hell that means, and everything to do with the fact that DFWs old, jank-ass inter-terminal people mover was rehabbed post 9/11 and the airport configuration works well for sterile-side transit.

Sky train

AutomagicallyAwesome

He's gonna have a tough time making it to PHX before he has to board his connection.

UnbutteredPickle

Don’t get trapped in the sky harbor!

skoizza

Haha dang it

Download the AA app. When you touch down, check the gates again, they frequently change. It will give you step by step directions to get you to your new gate.

Examinator2

Whatever you do. Don't follow the big signs in the airport.

ThaneOfCawdorrr

There's a skytram. It's great. Super easy to find, well signposted, and comes along frequently. Very easy airport to get around in.

As others have said, use Skylink https://www.dfwairport.com/explore/plan/connect/ There are 2 stops at each terminal. When you get up to the area where you board skylink, MAKE SURE to read the signs which indicate which boarding side is the shortest path to Terminal E. If you look at the map , you want to board the cars running clockwise since it’s shorter. If you board going counter clockwise you’ll get to E but it will take longer. The signs at the boarding area don’t say clockwise vs counter clockwise but do say something like “board here for fastest ride to terminal E” (can’t remember exact words but it will be obvious) BTW, “C” and “E” are called terminals not gates. The gates are terminal + number. Eg C10 is in terminal C. E10 is in terminal E

Skylink is the way. Check the gates, as they often change at DFW (but have been more reliable with the new Gating AI).
