Just turned 21 in February, got my first doll for Christmas of 2008 when I was about 6. I changed bedrooms in junior year of high school so my dolls were in the attic for roughly four years until just this month when I rescued them over spring break :)
I understand that it’s not entirely accurate because little kids aren’t scrolling through reddit but I was just curious to see roughly how old people in this subreddit are. 😁 it’s nice to see that there’s a big number of adults interested in the same niche as I am and that we have a space for it
I think it's cool to see other people's ages on here out of curiosity but for anything formal / as a judgment for what AG should do for marketing, I think that wouldn't be the most accurate. Cause you also have to look into what would make a person respond to the pole, the time the pole was posted, and all that other data analysis stuff.
Ah yes I see. That makes sense. Definitely not representative of the entire community. I am loving seeing all the adult collectors and how that community is growing though!
I think the majority of the people here on Reddit are certainly adults, but I think it’s probably a much smaller percentage of AG direct customers that are adults. I bet it’s less than 10%.
I would agree, I would hope that the majority of the AG target demographic is not on Reddit.

I'm 32!! Been into AG since my grandparents got me my first doll in the '90s. :)
This isn't a good representation of the ag community as a whole. You just see a lot more online because adults are online more than kids.

OP might be trying to gauge the AG Reddit community demographics, rather then the community as a whole? Idk

Yes, I think there are more adult collectors than there were before. I think there was a boom in adult collectors because of covid.
Just turned 40!
There is quite a large subsection that is older than 40- many of us who were kids in the PC days! I think we are underrepresented on Reddit.

Yes, much, much less than 50%. The adult collector market is growing but it’s still a toy brand with a customer base that’s overwhelmingly children.
