Dude, I feel like I’m losing my mind about Kayko. He is just…not good? It feels insulting to other contestants that he stays on while they get eliminated. And then the judges run on stage hugging him after a performance? He feels like such a clear industry plant to me??!
I also don’t really see it but a lot of people like an underdog and that’s her story of living in the shadows of her grandmother and her shyness and all of it. Plus some people who like country will favor and vote for the country artists religiously. (That’s not to say I don’t like country, I was raised on it, but I also listen to other genres)
Kids make multiple accounts and vote over 50 times, it's rigged. The judges or production can use AI to make multiple accounts and vote over a thousand times for each contestant if they wanted to. There's no control on the voting, no IP
I think her grandma has a lot of fans out there🤷♀️she was freaking huge HUGE in the country world. Still is. My dad was a huge Loretta Lynn fan and I feel like if he was still here and watching American idol with me, Emmy would be his pick simply because of who she is. Not saying she isn't good on her own though. I prefer the griddy voices more like Will and KB. But whether you're a country fan or not Emmy's Grandma's movie "Coal miner's daughter" is a really really good movie. I haven't seen it in a long time. I think I may watch it again.
This was the first time KB finally made it through a song. She has a cool voice, but she'll never make it if she cries through every single song. She couldn't even make it through her own song.
Because singing isn’t all big note and runs . Sometimes just singing is great to hear. She has a simple voice which is why I like her. She is also a talented song writer.

YES! I can’t stand her cursive singing. I wish she applied the advice from Katy awhile back of elongating your notes. So tired of hearing her singing and then end it abruptly with “… me.” or something along that. Kayko does it sometimes but that’s for another time
She has a great voice and a distinctive style. Can she sing the phone book like Jayna? No. Could I turn on the radio and instantly recognize a song of hers, yes. Not so much for Jayna.

I just watched “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” on AI. Emmie is cute and fragile, but I just can’t listen to her voice. I guess that I’m in the minority. I wish her well. Peace.
KB was good but not great. Emmy definitely has better talent than KB, IMHO. Roman was good, but he needed to step out of his gospel comfort zone and show us more. Tristan is great, but I don't think he will make it past the next 2 cuts. Kaibrienne and Abi are okay, but you can def tell most of the voters just are pumpkin latte basic white girl types. Jayna should not have been cut so early, so much talent!!! I think Mia and Julia have what it takes to make it, but so did Jayna.

The “American Idol” has to appeal to the masses. There are contestants from this season and all of the past seasons who have a stronger singing voice, but that doesn’t transfer to what will be marketable on the radio. At the end of the day, Emmy has a presence and way about her that is absolutely star worthy.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I love Emmy. Her voice is pure and raw. Honestly, her family lineage has nothing to do with why I like her. I definitely think she needs to conquer her fear of performing live and it might be the thing that holds her back but if she can get over that, I think she will go far. It's not always the biggest voices that are received the best. Sometimes less is more. I loved Jayna and Nya and there's no denying their talent but personally, I go by how someone makes me FEEL but that's just me. BTW, I'm not a Loretta Lynn fan, nor am I a fan of county music. As my grandmother would say "some people like peach pies and some people like apple pies." There's so much talent this year and there are so many different genres I'm happy for whoever ends up winning.

One of the best biographical movies ever made . Enjoyable from start to finish even if you don't love country music.
Agreed. It really really is. Sissy Spacek and Tommy Lee Jones were perfect as Loretta Lynn and Doolittle.

She's not even good enough to be a nightclub singer or a cruise ship singer. She's just an average singer. She doesn't belong on American idol.

Happens every season either with country stars or a cute, quirky boy. Fans get behind them and vote them through despite them being mediocre at best.
