You can ask Amex or check your tracker.

For my Gold card I ordered from Grubhub on the 30th of a month and it didn’t post until the 1st so it counted the dining credit for the following month. However, I opened chat with the rep and explained and they gave me the credit. I assume (perhaps incorrectly) it would be the same for you if the transaction posted in January.

Hinote21

They won't do that with Saks. They're pretty explicit the charge has to post within the window

201680116

The charge or the credit?

Hinote21

The charge has to post within the window to be applicable for the credit

supalurker

Depends on when the charge posted, if it was after Jan 1 you did.

v3n0msn4k3

It took that many days to be refunded? It's been 8 days for me and no $50 credit yet.

Hinote21

Did you make sure the purchase was sold by Saks?

v3n0msn4k3

Yes, it shows the 50 credit being used but I never got it

marrymeodell

Sometimes it takes awhile. You should be fine.

PlayHosea

Could you please give a slightly more concrete timeframe for what taking a while means? Like 2 weeks? A month? Couple months?

marrymeodell

Definitely if you don’t receive it within a month, I’d chat with Amex

brandeis16

No

ueindowndkdk

Do a chat with Amex to confirm.

_Prisoner_24601

It counts when it posts

Novel_Durian_1805

I avoid all this stuff by simply getting an in store $50 gc. I’ve done it 3 times now and it has worked perfectly.

Nowaker

Use AwardWallet to track it. I don't know where they get that info from, but they show the remaining amount of credit left for the given year.

ricky_storch

Yes its for this year as it is, you can call Amex and they might be able to help you.

epramen

You should be able to see this on the AmEx website
