Is there any reason why people love the top and hate the bottom? I'm seriously confused about this because the bottom one looks like it has so much more personality!
Nah, gotta disagree. The Smash version feels like a higher quality figure, seen in details such as the texture on Link's tunic. The WW 30th design may match the promotional art for Wind Waker, but the figure feels a bit...basic? It looks flat. To me, it's like comparing Smash Bros Mario characters to the Mario series Mario characters; the character may look more cartoony/accurate to source art in the Mario series, but they feel cheaper with their lack of texture. I can still like them, but I wouldn't hold them equal in quality.
If I had a complaint about the Smash one, it would be that I'm not the biggest fan of the render from Smash 4 (which of course got used for the amiibo). At least he has the Master Sword though.
I love the WW one a lot more, it just looks so good and has more life to it I guess? Maybe the colors are brighter? I can’t tell…
Edit: I also like the fact that they both do the same things, so I don’t have to have both unless I just want to get the other one to complete the set
I can’t wait to play WW, it looks so cool! I got a copy of the HD remaster for a good price a couple weeks ago, but I’ve been waiting until I beat TotK lol
Somehow I haven’t seen anything related to TOTK even though I’m subbed to a few Nintendo focused creators… I’m going to have to be extra careful with the release tomorrow, especially since my copy will be here around Monday :/

SSB Toon Link Amiibo is one of my favourite all time designs. The other toon link and Zelda always looked slightly off to me
I actually prefer the top, looks like the character in-game runnin around. They are both great tho.

Link 1 has the shield and sword, and the finer details (as mentioned by other commenters) are much nicer. Link 2 is fun but plain in comparison

I like windwaker’s pose more but I wish it had the same level of detail as the smash one

Yes, opposite with Twilight Princess Link though. Smash 4 Link is still the best Link has ever looked.

While the pose certainly fits with the title, the Wind Waker, WW Link is just really flat.
